YES, WITH REGARDS TO THE H OR INTERIM DIRECTOR THERE WAS SOME MISCOMMUNICATION LAST WEEK.
THE M FROM OUR DIRECTOR AMANDA KINCAID HAS ONCE AGAIN DECIDED THAT SHE WILL RESUME HER RETIREMENT. SO SHE HAS RESIGNED AS THE INTERIM EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 13TH AND WILL NO LONGER BE WORKING WITH US. SHE HAS DONE AN EXCELLENT JOB FOR US AND WE APPRECIATE HER SERVICES OVER THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS THROUGH AMANDA WE HAVE HIRED A FIRM CALLED FIND GOOD PEOPLE AND THEY ARE ACTIVELY RECRUITING AND CURRENTLY SCREENING CANDIDATES FOR A PERMANENT H.R. DIRECTOR. SO I'LL KEEP YOU UPDATED ON THAT. SAME WITH THE PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER RECRUITMENT. WE ARE INTERVIEWING AND ARE EXPLORING POTENTIAL OPTIONS WITH A COUPLE OF THOSE APPLICANTS AT THIS POINT. SO AGAIN WHENEVER WE DO THAT TO MR. OFF TO ALAN'S POINT EARLIER I WILL MAKE SURE I COMMUNICATE THAT INFORMATION TO YOU ALL IN
A TIMELY MANNER. >> SPEAKING OF WEDNESDAY, WE WILL NOT OFFER ACCOUNTING SERVICES ON WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 11TH CAUSE THROUGH YOUR GENEROSITY LAST YEAR YOU ALL GAVE THAT AS AN ADDITIONAL HOLIDAY. I DO BELIEVE SO.
WE WILL NOT DO THAT. BUT THANKS TO ALL THE VETERANS WE APPRECIATE OR SERVICE THEY CARRY A VERY IMPORTANT ROLE FOR THE HISTORY OF THIS COUNTRY AND FOR THE FREEDOMS THAT WE ENJOY.
>> TWO ADDITIONAL ITEMS AND I'M ALMOST DONE. THERE'S GOING TO BE A VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING THAT'S BEING HELD FOR THE BEAUFORT COUNTY PATHWAYS PROJECT AS PART OF THE TWENTY EIGHTEEN SALES TAX PROGRAM. YOU CAN GO TO W W W DIAL BEAUFORT COUNTY PENNY. ALL ONE WORD BEAUFORT COUNTY PENNY DOT COM FORWARD SLASH PATHWAY VIRTUAL MEETING. SO THAT'S ALL ONE WORD. SO I DIDN'T KNOW IF COUNCIL MEMBER CONVERTS VARY SELDOM THAT WE GET FAVORABLE EMAILS ABOUT COUNTY DEPARTMENTS. I DO THINK YOU ALL RECEIVE ONE ABOUT THE RECENT ELECTION.
I DON'T KNOW IF COUNCIL MEMBER COVER ONE TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THAT.
SURE. NOW THIS TIME. THANK YOU MR. GREENWAY.
I'M I'M COLLEAGUES. I'M NOT GOING TO READ THE E-MAIL.
I'M SURE THE CHAIRMAN WILL PROBABLY READ THAT AT PUBLIC COMMENT.
BUT I WILL SAY THIS. YOU WE DON'T WE DIDN'T TAKE THIS JOB BECAUSE WE WANTED TO GET TONS OF E-MAILS AND PHONE CALLS AND KNOCKS ON THE DOOR FROM FOLKS WHO WERE JUST GIDDY ABOUT WHAT'S GOING ON. NEITHER DID THE FOLKS IN THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS, BUT THAT IS ONE DEPARTMENT. YOU KNOW, THIS PAST OBVIOUSLY YOU KNOW, ELECTION DAY WAS TUESDAY AND SOME PEOPLE WOULD ARGUE THAT IT'S STILL GOING ON. AND WITH ALL OF THE CONTROVERSY ALL OVER THE COUNTRY WITH ELECTIONS, WE HAVE SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE.
AND WE HEARD I'M SURE EVERYBODY GOT THE SAME E-MAIL. HOPEFULLY IT WAS A PERSON E-MAILED INTO US TO SAY WHAT A SPLENDID JOB THAT THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS.
ANN MARIE SMALLS, HER STAFF, THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS IN GENERAL HOW THEY DID THIS YEAR SPECIFICALLY THIS PERSON. MS. LYNN MILLER WAS TALKING ABOUT
[00:20:04]
THE EVENTS AT THE HILTON HEAD LIBRARY POLLING LOCATION OBVIOUSLY IN THE E-MAIL.YOU CAN YOU CAN GET THE GIST OF IT THAT THE MOOD WAS SOMETHING THAT WE SHOULD PROBABLY STRIVE FOR IN ALL OF OUR POLLING LOCATIONS. AND IT'S JUST A GOOD I'VE NEVER OR HARDLY EVER RESPOND TO THESE. BUT I DID THAT ONE BECAUSE I FELT THAT GIVEN THE THE SITUATION IN OUR COUNTRY, THE SITUATION IN OUR STATE AND COUNTY THAT THIS IS A SHINING LIGHT OF THE ELECTION SYSTEM THAT WENT WELL.
YOU KNOW, I'M NOT SURE THAT EVERYTHING YOU KNOW, ALL CYLINDERS WERE HITTING BUT IT SURE SEEMS LIKE YOU WERE FROM THIS E-MAIL AND I THINK AS A COPY AND SMALLS I HOPE SHE AND I COPY THE CHAIRMAN DID GET AND I HOPE SHE SHARES IT WITH THE BOARD AND WITH HER HER EMPLOYEES ESPECIALLY OF THIS KIND OF STUFF DOESN'T GO UNNOTICED AND I PERSONALLY APPRECIATE IT AND I'M SURE MY COLLEAGUES WILL ALSO SAY LIKEWISE, WE APPRECIATE HER LEADERSHIP AND THEIR INVOLVEMENT AND THE BOARD'S LEADERSHIP.
>> YES. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. AND AGAIN, THANK YOU ALL.
THIS COUNTY HAS PLACED SHOELESS JOE CLOVER JUST FOR MAINLY TO GET AWAY.
>> GO AHEAD. >> YES, I WAS JUST CHOOSING THREE THINGS REALLY.
ONE, HOMESCHOOLING. WE DID MEET BRITNEY IN THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT.
SHE DOES NOT REALLY LOOK LIKE A ROLLER DERBY PERSON BUT IT WAS A DELIGHTFUL PERSON TO SEE.
BUT I GOT INTRODUCED TO HER LAST WEEK. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT TWO THINGS ONE THESE CRAZY BECAUSE IT'S VETERANS DAY. WHAT HAPPENS TO STORM WATER? I MEAN STRONG SOLID WASTE IN POLICE THAT IT NORMALLY CALLS ON WEDNESDAY.
ARE THEY GETTING A SPECIAL HOLIDAY FOR THAT OR IS THIS SOMETHING THAT WILL GO AWAY FROM THEM AND THE QUESTION I HAVE. OH, YOU KNOW SOMEONE FROM MY INDUSTRY RELEASES YOU ABOUT THE DETAILS I'M GETTING A LOT OF IT .
ONE OF THE THINGS THAT THEY SAID WAS YOU KNOW WHY IN IT I CALLED TOTALS BECAUSE I DID NOT INFORM MY CONSTITUENTS ABOUT THE DECALS THAT WANTED TO BECAUSE OF THE CALL WITH SUCH WASTE. I DID HAVE A MEETING SCHEDULED BACK IN THE SPRING.
BUT WAS HE WAS NOT ABLE TO HOLD THAT MEETING BUT THEY SAID TO ME THAT, YOU KNOW, COUNCIL COULD HAVE SENT A NEWSLETTER OR SOMETHING OUTLINING THESE SOLID WASTE IN DETAIL AND WHAT IS REQUIRED IS THAT POSSIBLE AT ALL JUST TO SET UP THE LETTERS TO THE PROPERTY OWNERS TO SAY THIS? HOW ARE WE GOING DECALS IN THE FUTURE? THANK YOU. THANK YOU. AS FAR AS A HOLIDAY AS WE HANDLE SOLID WASTE ON WEDNESDAY I DO NOT KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION THAT THIS WAS VERY AFRAID THAT THIS IS COMING DOWN. GO HAMPSHIRE HOPEFULLY THAT QUESTION ALSO THE QUESTION ABOUT THE DETAILS LATER. THANK YOU.
COUNCILMAN, GO FOR THAT. SO VETERANS DAY ON WEDNESDAY OUR CENTERS ARE CLOSED ON WEDNESDAY TO THE I THINK WE'RE ALSO PUTTING TOGETHER A PRESS RELEASE TO MAKE SURE THAT'S AWARE. SO THE SOLID WASTE EMPLOYEES WILL WILL HAVE THAT DAY OFF JUST AS THE REST EMPLOYEES WILL NORMALLY HAVE. WEDNESDAY.
NO, SIR. WELL, SOME I WON'T DO. IT JUST DEPENDS.
THEY THEY SOMETIMES SHIFT FROM SENATOR OR SOME HAVE OTHER DUTIES.
AND THEN AS FAR AS THE OTHER QUESTION GOES, AS FAR AS SENDING OUT A NOTICE WE HAVE SENT OUT SEVERAL PRESS RELEASES AS FAR AS HOW WE'RE SETTING THE DECALS.
WE HAVEN'T LOOKED AT SENDING OUT ACTUAL PIECE OF MAILING. I MEAN THAT'S SOMETHING WE CAN LOOK AT. IT'S JUST SOMETHING WE HAVEN'T UTILIZED YET.
IF YOU FEEL LIKE THAT'S SOMETHING WORTHWHILE ENDEAVOR WE CAN DEFINITELY ENTERTAIN THAT. BUT THAT'S SOMETHING THAT WE HAVEN'T PUT OUT THAT SO FAR.
IT MAY BE COSTLY MAIL TO INDIVIDUALS BUT THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT VOTE THE WAY UP SO WE CAN GET THE SOCIAL MEDIA NOTIFICATION AND A LOT OF THE NEW SEAFOOD BECAUSE WE'RE JUST NOT REACHING OUT AS WELL. SO YOU KNOW, I THINK IF YOU CAN MAIL OUR MEMBERS REACHING THEM
[00:25:09]
AT LEAST WE HAVE TOUCHED BASE WITH EVERYBODY IN USING EVERY MEANS NECESSARY TO GET THATINFORMATION OUT TO YOU. THANK YOU, SIR. >> THE PRESS RELEASE IS CERTAINLY NEWSPAPER ARTICLES. SHOULD THE SOMETHING THAT WE COULD DO.
I KNOW YOU KNOW WITH THE NUMBER OF DECALS THAT ARE AS FOR ALREADY THE OFFICE HAS BEEN INUNDATED. THEY ARE AWARE OF WHAT'S GOING ON.
I THINK THEY SAID STARTING NEXT WEEK THEY ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO START SENDING THEM OUT.
THAT'S GREAT. YEAH, WE'VE BEEN WORKING TO GET THEM STARTED TO SEND OUT.
WE JUST GOT TO PRINT SUPPLIES FULLY, FULLY STAFFED. SO THOSE ARE BEING PREPARED AND READY TO BE SENT OUT NEXT WEEK. WE DID HAVE A GLITCH THIS WEEK WITH THE SYSTEM, THE ONLINE SYSTEM BUT THAT'S BEEN UPDATED AND MADE AVAILABLE. SO THAT'S THAT'S ONGOING.
WE'RE ALSO GOING MAKE A PRESENTATION NEXT WEEK AT PUBLIC FACILITIES WITH MORE DETAILS AS FAR AS WHERE WE ARE ON THE STATUS OF THE DEKALB STATION AND WE'LL DEFINITELY TAKE MORE MEANS AND METHOD WHETHER NEWSPAPER ARTICLES OR MAILINGS CONTINUE TO GET THE WORD OUT TO FINDS. DO YOU HAVE A SIGN OFF AT THE CONVENIENCE CENTER'S IS.
USED. THERE'S DEKALB INFORMATION AS WELL AS ATTENDANCE.
ALL RIGHT. HOW DID THE THAT'S RIGHT. YEAH.
RIBAUT DOES. SHE TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF THE MIDDLE.

THAT IS THE BUILD TO LINE IS GOING TO GO DOWN AND THE REASON WHY IT'S GOING DOWN IS BECAUSE WE'RE GOING FROM THE 1929 DOWN TO THE NINETEEN EIGHTY EIGHT DATA AND THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.
THE NINETEEN EIGHTY EIGHT DATA WAS A MUCH MORE ACCURATE NUMBER THAN THE TWENTY NINE NOW IN BEAUFORT COUNTY THE BUILDING CODE GIVES A PLUS ONE TO THE BFG SO IT IS GOING DOWN BUT IN THE BFG IS GONNA BRING IT BACK UP A FOOT. SOME AREAS ARE GONNA BE LOWER, OTHERS EVERY OTHER YEAR ARE GOING TO BE ABOUT THE SAME. I DON'T KNOW OF ANY AREAS THAT ARE GOING TO GO. SO THE QUESTION ABOUT THE FREE BOARD WHICH IS THE THE HOW MANY FEET ABOVE THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION YOU WANT TO GO. YOU CAN HIT A POINT OF DIMINISHING RETURN WITH FREEPORT. SO WE'RE AT A PLUS 1.
IF YOU GO TO A PLUS 2 OR PLUS THREE YOU HAVE TO ASK HOW MUCH IS IT GOING TO COST TO ELEVATE THAT ACROSS THE ENTIRE COUNTY ALL THE SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD AREAS.
[00:40:03]
FIRST, HOW MUCH IS IT GOING TO SAVE PEOPLE ON THEIR INSURANCE AND HOW MUCH IS IT REALLY GOING TO LOWER THEIR RISK? SO THE PLUS ONE'S A PRETTY SAFE PLACE TO BE IN LINE OF THAT.I KNOW WE HAVE THE SEA LEVEL RISE TASK FORCE AND THE NO FIELD TASK FORCE GOING ON RIGHT NOW. AND I MEAN I WANT TO VOTE FOR THIS FIRST READING BUT I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN TAKE THAT IN WHEN IT BECOMES AVAILABLE AND THE MAYOR BECAUSE ABSOLUTELY WE KNOW WE WE KNOW WITH NO FILL TASK THERE'S GONNA BE SOME CHANGES AND PROBABLY WITH THE C SEA LEVEL RISE TOO. SO IN CONSIDERATION THE NEW MAPS.
SURE. AT ANY TIME COUNCIL CAN GO IN AND I MEAN THE FLOOD ORDINANCE TO RAISE THAT BFD ANYWHERE YOU WANT TO DO IT. YES THERE IS.
I WONDER IF ANY OTHER COUNCIL MEMBERS MAY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS A QUESTION IN AS YOU KNOW IN THE CONSTRUCTION VERNACULAR EVERYTHING IS BASED ON 14 FEET.
HEY EVERYBODY TALKS ABOUT 14 FEET. HOW DOES THAT OR HOW WILL THIS CHANGE THAT CONSTRUCTION JARGON? SO IF YOU GO ALL TO I'LL ISLAND RIGHT NOW THAT'S ABOUT A NINE FOOT FLOOD WHICH IS A BMV ABOVE MEAN SEA LEVEL.
SO THAT'S NINE FEET THAT'S PROBABLY GOING TO GO DOWN TO SIX, SEVEN OR EIGHT WITH THESE NEW MAPS. IF YOU GO OUT TO A POINT THAT'S ON THE OCEAN WE HAVE VELOCITY ZONES THAT HAVE BFD 18 19 FEET. SO THE 14, 13, 12 JUST DEPENDS ON THE LAW.
IT DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU ARE. LIKE I SAID, A LOT OF THOSE ARE GOING DOWN AND WE'RE ADDING THE ONE FOOT BACK. BUT AGAIN THE REASON IT'S MOVING IS BECAUSE THE ACCURACY OF THE DATA THAT THEY HAVE USED TO CREATE THE MAPS IS MUCH BETTER THAN IT WAS IN 1920.
SO I DON'T THINK WE'RE INCURRING ANY MORE RISK. IT'S JUST THAT THE MODELS FOR THE 1986 MAPS, THE CURRENT MAPS WAS A LITTLE ABOVE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOME QUESTIONS OF ACCURACY FROM FOLKS IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND HOME BUILDING INDUSTRY IS THAT THEY THEY'RE CONCERNED AND REALLY CAN'T FIGURE THE ANSWER OUT ANYWHERE TO PULL THIS DATA WILL I KNOW IT DEPENDS ON WHERE IT'S BEING BUILT BUT ARE THEY TO EXPECT TO SEE AVERAGE CONSTRUCTION CALLS OF THE SAME DWELLING, THE SAME MATERIALS FLOOD ZONE ELEVATION TODAY VERSUS WHAT COMES INTO EFFECT MARCH 20, 30, 20, 21? WILL THEY GO UP OR WILL THEY GO DOWN OR IS IT DE MINIMUS, SIR? TWO THINGS I WANT TO ADDRESS FIRST. IF THEY'RE IN AN AREA WHERE THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION IS GOING DOWN, CLEARLY IT'S GOING TO REDUCE THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION . THE SECOND THING IS THE 50 PERCENT DOWN AND KIND OF OVER EXPLAIN THIS BUT THE 50 PERCENT RULES AS YOU HAD A HOUSE THAT WAS BUILT BEFORE THE CURRENT MAPS WHICH IS 1980 6. YOU CANNOT DO MORE THAN 50 PERCENT RENOVATION TO THAT HOUSE WITHOUT BRINGING IT INTO COMPLIANCE. NOW WHAT THIS IS GOING TO DO WHEN IT LOWERS THAT FEE IS IT'S GOING TO TAKE A LOT OF THOSE EXISTING NONCONFORMING HOUSES AND IT'S GOING TO PULL THEM OUT OF THE FLOODPLAIN. SO IT'S GONNA MAKE THEM MORE MARKETABLE IF THEY CAN DO A LOT MORE WITH. SO IT'S A WIN WIN ALL THE WAY AROUND. IN MY BOOK ANYBODY FROM WHETHER IT'S A STATE OR ANY CONSORTIUM.
SPEAKING OF INSURANCE, HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE BUILDERS RISK INSURANCE AND THEY WEIGHED ON THIS TO TALK ABOUT THE FINANCIAL IMPACT PROBABLY AT LEAST ON THE UPFRONT IN MY OPINION WOULD BE POSITIVE. I THINK HAS THAT BEEN TALKED ABOUT OR IS IT SURE THERE SEEMED TO BE A LITTLE HESITANT TO EVEN TALK ABOUT. RIGHT.
SO ALL OF THEM HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN THIS PROCESS. FEMA HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS FOR THESE NEW FLOOD MAPS. SO YES, THEY'VE ALL BEEN IN THE CONVERSATION EVERYBODY IN INDUSTRY HAS AS FAR AS FLOOD INSURANCE GOES, CLEARLY FEMA SELLS THE FLOOD INSURANCE THROUGH SOMEBODY WHO'S BROKERING THE FLOOD INSURANCE FOR THOSE WHERE THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION IS GOING DOWN. THEY CAN EXPECT TO SEE A REDUCTION IN THEIR COSTS FOR INSURANCE. THEN ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.
ABSOLUTELY. IT'S A COMPLEX IT'S VERY TIRING.
SO WE HEARD HOW IT'S GOING TO HAVE A POSITIVE EFFECT ON ON THE VERY ISLAND PLACES LIKE THAT. IN YOUR ESTIMATION, WHAT'S THE PLACE WHERE ARE WE LOOKING AT THE THE THE WORST CASE SCENARIO ? IS THERE GOING TO BE SOME LOTS THAT BECOME ALMOST UNBEARABLE BECAUSE OF THESE CHANGES WHAT WE'RE DOING OR IS THERE'S ANY PLACES THAT WE'RE CONCERNED ABOUT THAT THAT THEY CAN BECOME A LOT THAT IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE. WHICH IS THE OPPOSITE. SO I DON'T KNOW ANY AREAS THAT ARE BECOMING MORE RESTRICTIVE SO IT'S GOING TO BECOME EASIER AND LESS EXPENSIVE TO BUILD IN ALL OF THESE AREAS BECAUSE THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATIONS BECAUSE IT'S THE DAM ISSUE, ALL OF THEM ARE GOING DOWN. SO I DON'T KNOW ANY THAT IS GOING TO NEGATIVELY IMPACT
[00:45:06]
THAT'S A VERY POSITIVE THING FOR THE. BUT THERE'S A BIG BUT IF THE SEA LEVEL RISE YOU KNOW I MEAN WE COULD BE LOOKING AT THE PICTURE IF IT HELPS ALL THAT HAS BEEN FACTORED IN AND IT'S SORT OF AN ANOMALY THAT WE'VE HAD FROM 1986 UNTIL NOW TO UPDATE THESE MAPS GIVE YOU AN IDEA WE WENT FROM THE 70S SEVEN MAPS TO THE 86 MAPS AND NOW IT'S BEEN THIRTY THREE YEARS LATER. SO I WOULD ANTICIPATE WITHIN THE NEXT 10 YEARS THEY'LL START THE PROCESS OVER AND WITHIN 15 ,18 YEARS WE'RE GOING TO BE LOOKING AT THIS AGAIN. SO IT'S NOT LIKE THIS IS A ONE OFF.THEY'LL NEVER DO IT AGAIN. AND IF SEA LEVOMES MORE OF AN ISSUE, THE TELEMETRY AND SLOSH MODELS WILL ALL TO PUT INTO. THANK YOU.
DOES THOUGH ANSWER YOUR QUESTION. OK.
IS THERE ANY OTHER DISCUSSION? DO WE NEED TO TAKE A ROLL CALL VOTE ON THIS? ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION THIS WILL BE APPROVED WITH OUT OBJECTIONS.
ARE THERE ANY OBJECTIONS SEEING NO OBJECTIONS THEN THIS ITEM IS APPROVED.
[16. CITIZEN COMMENTS - (EVERY MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC WHO IS RECOGNIZED TO SPEAK SHALL LIMIT COMMENTS TO THREE MINUTES WITH THIS PORTION OF THE MEETING GOING NO LONGER THAN 15 MINUTES)]
THAT BRINGS TO THE SECOND CITIZEN SECTION FURTHER AND FURTHER CITIZEN EMPOWERMENT AS TEACHERS MEMBERS HAVE THOSE ISSUES. NOBODY IN THE HAD A GROUP OF PEOPLE WATCHING SO MAYBE A SECOND GUESS. YES, WE DID RECEIVE COMMENTS AND LEGITIMATE COMMENTS FROM 10:00 A.M. AND MILLER PAUL REID THAT HIS SHOW WAS BARRISTER LAURA OVERSEAS. AND DOMINIC PATTERSON, ANY OTHER ITEMS TO COME BEFORE COUNCIL? I HAVE A QUESTION FOR THIS FRIDAY.I GUESS IT WAS FRIDAY. STU WERE WITH HIM FRIDAY OR THURSDAY I GUESS ON FRIDAY.
WE WERE AT A MEETING IN YOU HAD SOMETHING COME UP TO I WAS OVERALL ON HILTON HEAD AND IT WAS A MEETING THAT ONE OF THE NEW COUNCIL MEMBERS OVER THERE HAD BEEN HAVING ABOUT 278 IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND SO FORTH. I MEAN I SUFFERED NERVOUS AT A JOG. MY MEMORY AT THE CRAIG WYNN WAS GIVING A PRESENTATION AND DURING HIS PRESENTATION HE HAD SAID THAT THEY HAD GIVEN HDR THE CONTRACTOR ALL THE INFORMATION, ALL THE DATA TO CONDUCT THE INDEPENDENT REVIEW THAT THERE WERE TWO MEMBERS OF HIS TOWN COUNCIL THAT WERE THERE OBVIOUSLY PROBABLY ALL WATCHED THEIR COUNCIL MEETING WHERE THEY DID NOT VOTE ON THIS. HOW? MY QUESTION IS THIS MAYBE YOU KNOW, STU, I DON'T KNOW HOW CAN THIS D.A. GIVE 34 A DATA IF THEY DON'T HAVE AN APPROVAL YET? I THINK YOU HDR ANY CONTRACT IF IT HADN'T BEEN APPROVED BY CONSENSUS QUESTION. IT'S ALL PUBLIC INFORMATION THAT THEY WOULD HAVE GIVEN HDR AND THERE'S NOTHING PRIVATE OR CONFIDENTIAL SO THAT THEY'RE ATTEMPTING TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS. IT'S NO SURPRISE.
I THINK YOU MIGHT HAVE A PROBLEM. THERE MIGHT BE A QUESTION OF FUNDS HAVE BEEN TRANSFERRED AND I DON'T BELIEVE THAT. AS FAR AS I'M AWARE THAT DOJ IS LOOKING FORWARD TO SPEEDING UP THE PROCESS IS PROBABLY HELPFUL.
I WOULD THINK ANY OTHER COMMENTS THAT A LITTLE. I MEAN I UNDERSTAND THAT PART OF IT EVEN THOUGH SENATOR DAVIS SAID LOOK, WE DON'T NEED TO RUSH THIS.
THE MONEY THERE. IT'S LIKE WHERE THIS NEEDS TO BE.
RIGHT? NOT QUICK SALT DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS LOOK IN THAT THAT CONCERNS ME A LITTLE BIT THAT NOT EVERYBODY UNDERSTANDS WHAT'S GOING ON.
IT'S PREPARING OUR FEET FIRMLY NATIONALLY KNOWN FIRMS WORKING WITH CO2 ON THIS PRESSURE AND I DON'T THINK EVERYBODY IS AWARE OF THAT. THEY ALL HAVE SPECIALTIES.
ONE OF FIRMS IS DCI, RENOWNED INTERNATIONAL FIRM. THEY'RE ONE OF THE TOP FIRMS IN THE UNITED STATES AND BRIDGE BUILDING THEY'RE ACTUALLY DESIGNED TO GET AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. SO I THINK ALL OF THIS DATA IS THERE.
IT'S JUST BEING ABLE TO ASSEMBLE ALL OF THAT AND INTERFACE WITH THE COMMUNITY TO
[00:50:05]
FIND OUT WHAT THEIR ADMIN HAS. THESE ARE QUALITY ENGINEERING FIRMS THAT SOME THEY THEY TALK TECHNICAL LANGUAGE AND SOMETIMES DIFFICULT TO GET GOOD INFORMATION OUT AND THAT'S WHERE I THINK SOME PROBLEM IS RIGHT NOW IS THAT THERE IS A VERY HIGH TECHNICAL LEVEL AND PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR OR WHAT DOES THIS TRANSLATE INTO? WHAT IS THIS ACTUALLY MEAN? I JUST WANT TO COMMENT. I THINK ONE OF THE THINGS THAT CAME UP WAS WHETHER HDR WOULD BE INDEPENDENT. AND OBVIOUSLY SOMEBODY WHO IS DOING WORK FOR HDR MAYBE YOU CAN QUESTION THE INTEGRATED DEFENSE ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF THAT.SOMEBODY WHO'S NOT DOING BUSINESS AND WANTED TO DO BUSINESS HAD THE SAME BIAS BUT AS A PRACTICAL MATTER HDR HAS I THINK AROUND 10000 EMPLOYEES AROUND THE COUNTRY AROUND THE WORLD. A COUPLE OF PEOPLE HAVE SAID YOU COULDN'T DO ANY BETTER.
AND I THINK THEY'RE LARGE ENOUGH AND THEY'RE VERY INDEPENDENT AND AS WE GO FORWARD EACH OTHER COMMENTS OF THE COMMENTS ABOUT THIS MEETING IS ADJOURNED.
THANK YOU
