IS IT SUPPOSED TO SHOW UP ON OUR LITTLE SCREENS OR YOU'LL JUST YOUR MICROPHONES ON AND HE'S US FROM THE CAMERAS IN PLACED AROUND THE ROOM OKAY TURN OFF THANK YOU WE ARE GOING TO TABLE APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES UNTIL WE HAVE A QUORUM CORRESPONDING TO COMMUNICATIONS.
[VII. Library Director’s Report]
DO WE HAVE ANYTHING WE DO NOT. WOULD YOU LIKE TO GIVE THE LIBRARY DIRECTORS YOUR REPORT PLEASE? EVEN OUR VISUALS. I HAVE A SCREEN THROUGHOUT THE THERE'S TWO BEHIND ME AND THERE'S ONE TO THE LEFT AND THERE'S ONE THAT HE CAN CAPTURE FOR RECORDING. SO HERE'S SOME RECENT HIGHLIGHTS WE DO A LOT OF FUN THINGS AT LIBRARIES FROM LEFT TO RIGHT YOU SEE OUR ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM BUT UNDERNEATH THE BANNER OF LIBRARY COMING SOON WE HAVE PACKETS IN HAND ON NATIONAL OUTREACH DAY MYSELF ALONG WITH OUR ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM WALK THE STREETS OF PARIS LETTING THE PORT ROYAL BUSINESSES KNOW WE ARE EXCITED TO JOIN THEM AND BELOW THAT YOU SEE CASSIE WHO IS WORKING IN OUR ARCHIVES THE DISTRICT COLLECTION FOR NATIONAL LIBRARY WHICH THEY DID BEHIND THE SCENES TOURS SO THAT PEOPLE COULD SEE SOME OF THE HIDDEN TREASURES IN OUR ARCHIVES. SHE'S SHOWING THEM AN ARTIFACT RIGHT THERE IN THE MIDDLE YOU SEE A OBSERVER OF THE ECLIPSE ON NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK. THE MONDAY OF NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK ALSO WAS THE ECLIPSE DAY AND WE HAD ECLIPSE EVENTS AT EACH OF OUR BRANCHES IN THE YOU SEE OUR NEWEST EMPLOYEE THE FEMALE THERE HER NAME IS SL AND SHE IS NOW WORKING AT THE BLUFFTON LIBRARY ON OUTREACH DAY SHE AND A COLLEAGUE FROM THE BLUFFTON LIBRARY WENT TO THE FOOD TRUCKS DIRECTLY BESIDE THE BLUFFTON LIBRARY STARTED TALKING TO PEOPLE ABOUT THE LIBRARIES THERE SINCE SHE IS BILINGUAL SHE WAS ABLE TO SPEAK SPANISH WHEN SHE NEEDED TO ENGLISH WHEN SHE NEEDED TO AND KIND OF BRIDGED THE GAP THERE BELOW THAT YOU SEE PAM WORKING WITH SOME OF OUR YOUNGEST STEM ACTIVITIES AT THE LOCAL LIBRARY YOU SEE A BOUQUET OF STARS BECAUSE IN NATIONAL LIBRARY WE ALSO HAD AN OPPORTUNITY WHERE EACH BRANCH PICKED ANOTHER BRANCH TO SHARE LOVE. SO THEY HAD THEY NOT USE MONEY TO BUY SOMETHING BUT THEY HAD TO SHOW APPRECIATION ANOTHER BRANCH AND SO THE TECHNICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT WHO PROCESS THIS ALL OF OUR BOOKS THEY PICKED BEAUFORT BRANCH SINCE THEY WORK IN THE SAME BUILDING AND THEY HAD STARS FOR EVERY AND WHY THEY THINK THEY'RE AMAZING AND THAT HAPPENED ACROSS OUR LIBRARY SYSTEM THROUGHOUT THE WEEK AND THEN ON THE RIGHT DON'T SEE THE AUTHOR BUT THAT'S THE CROWD WE HAD BEAUFORT BRANCH ON THE FIRST FRIDAY OF APRIL TO REMEMBER WHAT MONTH WE WERE IN. WE WERE HOSTING JASON RYAN, AN AUTHOR WHO SPENT A LOT OF TIME IN OUR ARCHIVES RESEARCHING, HIS NONFICTION AND HE WAS THERE ON THE THE VERY FIRST WEEK OF HIS RELEASE OF A BOOK HE'S ENTITLED SWAMP KINGS AND IT'S ABOUT LOW COUNTRY CORRUPTION IN[00:05:06]
CONNECTION TO THE RECENT MURDOCH MURDERS. SO WE HAD A CROWD FOR HIM IN BEAUFORT AND THEN WE ALSO HAD THE NEXT MORNING IN BLUFFTON. SO IN HIS NAME IS JASON RYAN.JASON RYAN A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT HE SPENT A LOT OF TIME IN OUR ARCHIVES WORKING ON HIS BOOK JACKPOT ABOUT THE THE DRUG SMUGGLING THAT OCCURRED IN BEAUFORT COUNTY IN THE NINETIES . SO NOW MOVE TO STRATEGIC PLAN UPDATES, LET YOU KNOW SOME OF OUR MORE RECENT CELEBRATIONS AND THINGS THAT WE'RE HAPPY AND I'LL DO THEM AS I USUALLY DO TIE THEM TO EACH GOAL THAT WE HAVE FOR COLLECTIONS. I'M HAPPY TO LET YOU KNOW THAT S.C. LYNN'S HAS GROWN BY ONE NEW COUNTY WE WELCOMED YESTERDAY ABBEVILLE COUNTY LIBRARY TO THE SC ISLANDS CONSORTIUM OF PUBLIC LIBRARIES IN SOUTH CAROLINA.
THEY ARE IN THE UPSTATE THEY BORDER ANDERSON COUNTY IN GREENWOOD VERY CLOSE TO GREENVILLE AND THEY'RE ON THE BORDER BETWEEN SOUTH CAROLINA AND GEORGIA.
THEY HAVE THREE BRANCH LIBRARIES. THEY HAVE 20,000 CARD HOLDERS AND THEY BRING TO THE SILENCE COLLECTION ABOUT 72,000 ITEMS THAT WE ALL GET TO BENEFIT FROM NOW IT'S VERY HAPPY TO THAT S.C. LANDS NOW HAS 21 LIBRARIES ACROSS THE STATE ALSO IN TERMS OF COLLECTIONS IF YOU FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK OR SEE OUR NEWSLETTER YOU SAW THIS PHOTO OF THE STATE PARK PASS A LITTLE HIDDEN KNOWN FACT IS THAT EACH ONE OF OUR BRANCH LIBRARIES HAS ONE PARK PASS THAT IS AVAILABLE FOR CHECK OUT IF YOU'RE ABLE TO CHECK OUT THAT PASS YOU CAN GO VISIT ANY OF THE STATE PARKS IN SOUTH CAROLINA AT NO CHARGE TO YOU.
SO WE HAVE ONE POST ONE PARK AT EACH BRANCH AND THEY HAVE 14 TIMES IN THE PAST MONTH OUR FACEBOOK POST REACHED 70,000 VIEWERS. SO I'VE REACHED OUT TO OUR FRIENDS TO SEE IF THEY WILL HELP US ACQUIRE ADDITIONAL PASSES TO MEET THAT DEMAND FOR INTEREST AND PEOPLE RESERVE PASSES IN ADVANCE BE RESERVED AT FIRST COME FIRST COME FIRST SERVE WHICH IS WHY WE'RE TRYING TO GET SOME MORE PASSES AVAILABLE.
THE PASSES COME IN HANDY. WE PICKED UP OUR HOURS OUR HILL AROUND THE ISLAND THE OTHER DAY AND I FORGOT YOUR NUMBER DROVE OUT OF THE ROAD AND I THOUGHT OH I COULD HAVE AN ACCIDENT.
THEY WEREN'T WE BUY ONE EVERY YEAR SO WE THINK GREAT TO OFFER THINGS ASIDE FROM BOOKS BUT THINGS THAT CAN PROVIDE VALUE ADDING LEARNING AND ENJOYMENT IN COUNTY AND BEYOND IN TERMS OF COMMUNICATION I MENTIONED BRIEFLY IN MY OPENING ABOUT OUR STAFF PARTICIPATING IN NATIONAL OUTREACH DAY AND THIS IS A DIRECT RESULT OF US TRYING TO STRATEGIZE WITH NUMBER FOUR OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN EXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES TO BETTER CONNECT WITH THE PUBLIC.
SO FOR THE FIRST TIME WE'VE CELEBRATED NATIONAL DAY BY EACH BRANCH CHOOSING HOW THEY WANTED BE OUT IN THE COMMUNITY THAT DAY. SO WE GAVE YOU THE LIST HERE.
WE TOLD YOU ABOUT US AS ADMINISTRATOR TIVE TEAM WALKING THE STREETS OF PARIS AVENUE TO PROVIDE OUTREACH TO ALL THE BEAUFORT STAFF. SEE IN THE PICTURE IN THE BOTTOM LEFT THEY WERE AT FOOD LION ON BOUNDARY STREET IN BEAUFORT AND IN SAINT HELENA WENT NEXT DOOR TO THEM AT THE HEALTH CENTER AND ALSO PROVIDED BOX OF FREE BOOKS THAT WAS EMPTY WITHIN 24 HOURS. SO THEY'RE GOING TO CONTINUE THAT OUTREACH EFFORT.
BLUFFTON I TOLD YOU THAT SHE WENT TO THE FOOD TRUCK COURT DIRECTLY BESIDE THE LIBRARY AND THEN WE HAD TWO DIFFERENT CREWS WHO WENT TO COUNTY BUILDINGS THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING IN BEAUFORT AND THE COUNTY BUILDING IN BLUFFTON TO MAKE SURE THAT OUR FELLOW COUNTY EMPLOYEES KNOW ABOUT THE WONDERFUL THINGS THAT LIBRARIES HAVE TO OFFER TO ACCOMPLISH.
STRATEGY NUMBER TWO IN OUR COMMUNICATION GOAL OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN ENHANCE AND FOSTER EMPLOYEE INFORMATION SHARING. WE WERE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC ON APRIL 24TH FOR OUR STAFF WORK DAY AND IN THAT DAY EVERYBODY WORKS IN THEIR LIBRARY BRANCH THEY THEY DO TRAINING THEY DO TEAM BUILDING AND IN ONE CASE HERE IN THE DISTRICT COLLECTION THE BEAUFORT STAFF AND BOOKMOBILE NORTH STAFF WERE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN BEHIND SCENES IN THE ARCHIVES AND GET TO SEE WHAT GRACE AND TEAM DO EVERY DAY FOR LOCAL HISTORY RESEARCHERS MANY OF THEM COMMENTED THAT THEY HAD NEVER SEEN SOME OF THOSE THINGS AND HAD A GREATER APPRECIATION OF WHAT THEY DO AND WHEN SOMEONE ASKS THEM ABOUT OBITUARIES OR GENEALOGY RESEARCH THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'LL EXPERIENCE WHEN THEY VISIT THE COLLECTION. FOR OUR THIRD GOAL IN OUR STRATEGIC PLAN WE WANT TO TALK
[00:10:07]
ABOUT USER EXPERIENCE. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE WANTED TO DO WAS LOOK FOR WEBSITE ENHANCEMENTS THAT WOULD HELP THE THE USAGE OF THAT THE EXPERIENCE WHEN PEOPLE USE OUR PRESENCE ONLINE. AND SO THIS PAST SINCE THAT SINCE OUR LAST MEETING WE REDESIGNED OUR ONLINE PAGE SO THAT'S A KIND OF A SNAPSHOT OF WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE NOW WE ADDED CATEGORIES THAT YOU SEE SO VISUAL THAT YOU CAN BROWSE TO FIND RESOURCES THAT MATCH WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR. WE ALSO PROVIDED AN A TO Z LIST SO.YOU CAN JUST SEE ALPHABETICAL LISTINGS EVERYTHING THAT WE HAVE ONLINE THAT YOU CAN SEARCH AND THEN WE ELIMINATED AN EXTRA MOUSE CLICK AND THE BEST WAY I CAN EXPLAIN THAT IS BEFORE THIS REDESIGN YOU WOULD FIND THE RESOURCE YOU WANT TO USE CLICK IT ONE TIME AND THEN CLICK IT AGAIN TO ACTUALLY ACCESS THE WE REMOVED ONE OF THOSE CLICKS BY BY MAKING THAT A LITTLE BIT MORE DIRECT. WOW. ALSO IN USER EXPERIENCE IN TERMS OF INVIGORATING PROGRAMING I'M HAPPY TO TELL THAT OUR SUMMER ARTIST IN RESIDENCE WILL BE PEACH SCHRAM YOU HAVE A FLIER ON YOUR YOUR TABLE PETE IS A FORMER BLUFFTON LIBRARY STAFF MEMBER HE USED TO RUN THE COMPUTER LAB WHEN I WAS WORKING THERE SEVERAL YEARS AGO. HE HAD SINCE RETIRED AND REALLY HAS BEEN ABLE TO DEVOTE HIS TIME AND ENERGY TOWARDS HIS OWN ART AS A PHOTOGRAPHER AND IS GOING TO BE PRESENTING THREE WORKSHOPS AT TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. SO SIX WORKSHOPS ALTOGETHER BUT IN EACH LOCATION TAKING REMARKABLE IPHONE PHOTOS WILL BE THE FIRST ONE HE OFFERS AND THEN A FOLLOW UP TO THAT INTRODUCTION TO COMPOSITION AND THEN THE FINAL WORKSHOP EDITING PICTURES ON AN IPHONE OR AN IPAD. WE'RE REALLY EXCITED THAT AT THE END OF THE WORKSHOP HE WILL HE WILL HAVE CULMINATING EXHIBIT IT WILL FIRST BE AT THE BLUFFTON LIBRARY ON JULY 20TH YOU'LL GET AN INVITE AND A REMINDER BUT THE EXHIBIT WILL BE OF OF THE ART OR ALL THE PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN BY THE PARTICIPANTS IN WORKSHOP.
SO AS AT THE END OF ALL OF THESE WORKSHOPS WE'LL ACTUALLY ABOUT 50 OUR HOPE IS 50 PHOTOGRAPHS ON DISPLAY BY PEOPLE WHO ATTENDED THESE WORKSHOPS BY TAKING PHOTOS JUST ON AN IPHONE OR AN ANDROID PHONE AND THEN LEARNING TO EDIT THOSE WITH TOOLS THEY ALREADY HAVE REALLY HAPPY ABOUT THIS. AND I SHOULD ALSO MENTION THAT THIS PROGRAM IS MADE BY THE GENEROUS PUBLIC LIBRARY. THEY'RE PROVIDING THE STIPEND FOR THE ARTIST AND, THE SUPPLIES THAT WE NEED FOR THE EXHIBIT. ALSO UNDER USER EXPERIENCE WE ARE IN SUMMER READING MODE. WE KICK THINGS OFF EVERY YEAR FOR READING BY HAVING OUR BOOKMARK CONTEST THIS THESE ARE THE WINNERS FOR THIS YEAR OUR AGES FIVE AND EIGHT WINNER IS FROM BLUFFTON NAME IS AUBREY AND YOU CAN SEE HER DESIGN ON THE LEFT ARAYA SUTTON OUR LIBBY CO PATRON GOT OUR SECOND AGE 9 TO 12 CATEGORY DARION MORENO WON THE TEEN CATEGORY WITH A TORNADO OF BOOKS AND THEN ADULT WINNER WAS MRS. HENDERSON FROM THE BEAUFORT BRANCH AND SHE WON WITH HER STACK OF BOOKS ADVENTURING AT THE LIBRARY ENTRANCE.
THESE WILL BE PRINTED AND AVAILABLE AT ALL BRANCHES THIS SUMMER SO LOTS OF ART IN THE COMMUNITY, LOTS OF TALENT. IT'S SO CUTE TO SEE THESE COME TO LIFE.
IT'S BEEN A SUMMER READING BEGINS ON JUNE 1ST AND WE HAVE KICK OFF EVENTS AT EACH OF OUR LOCATIONS AND THAT'S WHERE YOU CAN GET YOUR GAME BOARD FOR THE FIRST THE FIRST TIME THAT THE GAME BOARDS ARE AVAILABLE AND THEN START READING WE ONLY ASK THAT YOU READ 3030 DAYS IN A ROW ONCE COMPLETE THAT YOU'RE ENTERED INTO WIN GRAND PRIZES AND, SMALL INCENTIVES ALONG THE WAY WE WILL HAVE A READER REWARD CARD AGAIN THIS YEAR SO ABOUT HALFWAY THROUGH THE GAME YOU WOULD BE ELIGIBLE TO GET YOUR READER REWARD CARD WHICH WOULD BE GOOD FOR A SPECIAL PRIZE AT A LOCAL BUSINESS WE ARE BRINGING AGAIN BACK FREE LUNCH PROGRAM AT EACH BRANCH.
WHAT IS THIS YEAR IS THAT INSTEAD OF BEING AT THE DOWNTOWN BEAUFORT LIBRARY WE'RE GOING TO TRY HOSTING IT AT A NEARBY PARK SO WE CAN SEE HOW THAT WORKS AND SEE IF THAT'S THAT CHANGE IN VENUE MAKES THAT PROGRAM A LITTLE BIT MORE ACCESSIBLE TO PEOPLE RIGHT AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF DOWNTOWN BEAUFORT AND TO ENTICE AND MOTIVATE READERS THE SUMMER WE HAVE TWO VERY SPECIAL PROGRAMS. ONE IS THE STORY SHIP WITH SEAN DRISCOLL AND IT WILL BE AT BLUFFTON, BEAUFORT AND HILTON HEAD THIS JULY.
LOTS OF PIRATE THEMED ADVENTURE FUN FOR A FOR OUR YOUNGER AGES AND THEN WE'LL ALSO HAVE WILD
[00:15:07]
ABOUT READING WITH JUNGLE GYM AT LIBBY CO ST HELENA BLUFFTON HILTON HEAD EACH YEAR WE GET A WE APPLY FOR AND TYPICALLY GET A A GRANT FOR $2,000 FROM THE STATE LIBRARY THAT HELPS FUND PARTICULAR PROGRAMS AND SO THIS YEAR WE WERE AWARDED THAT GRANT AGAIN IN THROUGH THEIR FUNDING IN OUR MATCHING FUNDS FROM OUR FRIENDS GROUPS WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE THESE TWO EVENTS TO THE PUBLIC AND ONE MORE EVENT THAT I'M VERY, VERY HAPPY TO TELL YOU ABOUT IS THAT WE WILL BE HOSTING MARY MONROE IN ANGELA MAE IN JUNE. THEY HAVE TEAMED UP TOGETHER FOR THE THIRD INSTALLMENT OF A CHILDREN'S BOOK SERIES THAT THEY'VE BEEN DOING.THIS ONE IS TITLED SHIPWRECKED AND BOTH OF THEM WILL BE AT BLUFFTON LIBRARY TO MEET WITH KIDS AND ADULTS AND TELL THEM THEIR GREAT THEIR GREAT NEWS STORY THAT THEY'RE PROVIDING. SO WE'RE VERY HAPPY TO HAVE THEM.
AND THIS PROGRAM IS ALSO IN WITH THE PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION.
SO OUR LAST STRATEGIC PLAN GOAL IS SPACE AND SO WE ARE CONTINUING TO MAKE EFFORTS WITH GETTING PORT ROYAL LIBRARY READY FOR OPENING. WE ALSO SAW THE THE FINALIZATION OF THE PAYMENT FOR THE LAND AT 76 MAE RIVER ROAD JUST LAST WEEK AND CONTINUE TO WORK ON THE SITE PREP FOR THE PICK UP LOCKERS AT BURTON WELLS .
LET ME SHOW YOU A LITTLE BIT OF PICTURES OF PORT ROYAL. SO IN MARCH WHEN I PROVIDED THIS UPDATE TO YOU THAT'S KIND OF THE READING AREA, THE MAJOR PORTION OF BUILDING AND THEN AS OF MAY WE'VE GOT THE SHELVING FRAMES, WE HAVE FLOORS IN NEW LIGHTING.
YOU CAN SEE KIND A VERY DISTINCT VISUAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MARCH IN PRESENT DAY IN MARCH THE YOU SEE A FRAME A WOODEN FRAME OF A STUDY ROOM IN A UNPAINTED FINISHED KIDS AREA IN MAY YOU SEE THAT OUTSIDE OF THE SHOT IS A FULLY FINISHED STUDY ROOM AND THEN WE OUR GREEN ACCENT WALL IN A IN A VERY FANCY ACCENT LIGHT THAT CHANGES COLORS THAT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE ELEMENTS OF THAT WHOLE SPACE ALSO BEEN WORKING ON EXTERIOR SO LAST WHEN WE WHEN WE HAD IT WHEN WE WHEN WE TOOK OVER THE BUILDING TO START WORKING ON THESE THINGS THE EXTERIOR NEEDED A LOT OF ATTENTION AND SO TO OUR FRIENDS AT FACILITIES WE NOW HAVE SIGNED AND ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT PHASE OF ADDING SOME ACCENT PLANTS FOR ADDITIONAL OF COLOR. ALL RIGHT, THAT IS THE END OF MY REPORT.
I'M HAPPY ENTERTAIN ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU HAVE. ARE THERE QUESTION HOW YOU FIND THE PICKUP LOCKERS. WE'RE STILL WAITING FOR THE WRAP AROUND OR WHEN WILL THEY BE ACTIVE? SO I HAVEN'T FINALIZED THE ORDER ON THAT BECAUSE HAVE TO HAVE A FINAL SITE PREP CONFIRMED WITH THE COMPANY. SO I'M WORKING WITH FACILITIES TO GET THEIR PIECE OF THAT. IT'S ALREADY SIGNED OFF ON THAT.
SO ONCE I GET FACILITY SIGN OFF ON THE SITE IS PREPPED WE CAN ACTUALLY PROCEED WITH PLACING THE ORDER IT'S ABOUT ANYWHERE BETWEEN A 4 TO 8 WEEK LEAD TIME BEFORE THEY'RE ACTUALLY ARRIVE . YES READY NOTIFICATION ON THINGS THAT ARE GOING TO HAPPEN ARE BRAND NEW TO CARDHOLDERS FOR EXAMPLE THERE'S A CHECK THERE'S CHECKS OUT FOR TWICE A WEEK ALSO ABOUT STATE PARK. I KNOW ABOUT THE STATE PARK BURNINGS, RICHARD AND IT DOESN'T NEED THAT BUT I DO TO GET A TICKET IT ONLY PEOPLE WHO HAVE A LIBRARY CARD IT MIGHT STIMULATE MORE PEOPLE TO COME IN AND GET A CARD. SO IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE ASKING IF WE HAVE ANY INFORMATION GOING OUT DIRECTLY TO CARD HOLDERS TO LET THEM KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE LIBRARY WE SO WE HAVE A MONTHLY AND THEN WE'LL HAVE TO DOUBLE CHECK.
I CAN HAVE OUR MARKETING TEAM MAKE SURE THAT YOU'RE ON THE LIST BUT EVERY CARD HOLDER SHOULD BE AS LONG AS WE HAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS AN ACTIVE ADDRESS ON FILE YOU SHOULD BE GETTING A MONTHLY EMAIL NEWSLETTER THAT SAYS A LOT OF THE UPCOMING EVENTS IT DOESN'T LIST EVERYTHING BUT IT LISTS SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS AND THEN DIRECTS YOU TO OUR EVENT CALENDAR FOR THE FULL BUT IT ALSO THIS MONTH DID FEATURE THE STATE PARK PASS PASS THANK YOU AMANDA THERE ARE CERTAINLY YOUR ARE FABULOUS YOU'VE GOT SO MUCH GOING ON IN YOUR YOUR MARKETING
[V. Approval of Minutes]
TEAM AND EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING A GREAT JOB SO THANK YOU SO I DON'T HAVE A QUORUM SO.[00:20:06]
I WOULD LIKE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES THAT WERE SENT OUT TO YOU.BERNIE MOVED IN A SECOND AND I THEY ARE THERE ANY DISCUSSION NOW? OKAY. ALL IN FAVOR I OPPOSED OKAY. SO THE MINUTES HAVE BEEN
[VIII. Library Director’s Financial Report]
APPROVED ON MARCH 27 NEXT WE HAVE THE THE FINANCIAL UNFORTUNATELY JOE BOGART'S WAS NOT ABLE TO BE HERE TODAY AND I'VE ASKED IF SHE WOULD LIKE TO GET THE REPORT.ALL RIGHT SO ROUND TWO THE GOOD THING IS WE ARE AT TEN MONTHS THROUGH THE FISCAL YEAR SO THERE'S ONLY TWO MORE MONTHS REMAINING. SO AT THIS POINT OF THE YEAR COMES IT BECOMES REALLY CLEAR WHERE OUR STANDING IS AND HOW WE'RE GOING TO END THE YEAR AT THIS POINT WE'LL FIRST TALK ABOUT SPECIAL FUNDS WHICH IS IF JOE HERE HE WOULD SAY THIS IS HIS FAVORITE REPORT AND IF YOU LOOK IN THE LEFT COLUMN IN STATE AID REREAD CENTLY RECEIVED OUR FOURTH AND FINAL INSTALLMENT OF STATE AID ALTOGETHER THAT PROVIDES TO US $423,000 EXCUSE ME $421,000 THAT WE USE EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE PURCHASE BOOKS AND ITEMS THAT CAN BE CHECKED OUT. WE HAVE $183 THOUSAND DOLLARS REMAINING AND WE HAVE PLANS I HAVE PLANS TO SPEND IT ALL AS AS OF FEBRUARY OF THIS YEAR THE IMPACT FEES WERE SEPARATED INTO TWO NEW DISTRICTS. I JUST WANT TO GIVE YOU A MEMORY LANE REFRESH.
WE'RE THERE. SO THAT'S WHY YOU SEE IN YOUR CHART IMPACT FEE NORTH AND IMPACT FEE SOUTH THOSE ARE THE NEW DISTRICTS AND THAT IS WHERE IMPACT FEES THAT ARE COLLECTED TODAY ARE INPUT IN THE MIDDLE COLUMN OF YOUR SHEET. THOSE ARE THE DISTRICTS WHERE IMPACT FEES WERE COLLECTED ACROSS ALL OF THOSE DISTRICTS. THOSE ARE OWNED THEY ARE NOT RECEIVING NEW IMPACT FEES. IT'S ONLY AT THIS POINT BUT LOOKING AT THE NEW IMPACT FEE DISTRICTS IMPACT FEE NORTH AND IMPACT FEE SOUTH OUR NEW CURRENT BALANCE IN BOTH OF THOSE IS $333,965. WE HAD A NET GAIN OF ABOUT 81,000 IN IMPACT FEES THIS PAST QUARTER. A LOT OF GROWTH HAPPENING IN NORTH THE NORTHERN PART OF THE COUNTY. JOE WAS VERY HAPPY TO SEE IN THE OLD DISTRICTS THAT IN THE BLUFFTON DISTRICTS FOR THE SECOND ONE THE SECOND ONE IN THE COLUMN THERE IS AN EXPENDITURE OF $2,005,115 THAT IS FOR THE TEN ACRES OF LAND AT 76 MAY RIVER ROAD.
SO WE NOW HAVE A BALANCE OF ALMOST 2.5 MILLION IN THE BLUFFTON OLD IMPACT FEE DISTRICT. UNDERNEATH THAT YOU'LL SEE THE BUFFER IN PARENTHESES PORT ROYAL ON IMPACT FEE DISTRICT THERE'S ANOTHER EXPENDITURE OF $270,355 THAT THOSE ARE EXPENDITURES TOWARDS THE PORT ROYAL LIBRARY PROJECT SO RENOVATION AND FURNITURE AND ONCE PROJECT IS OVER WITH WILL BE CLOSE TO ZERO BALANCE IN THAT IMPACT FEE DISTRICT IS WHERE WE WANT TO BE IN THOSE OLDER DISTRICTS WANT TO GET THOSE INVESTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE INTO MEANINGFUL CHANGES IN OUR LIBRARY SYSTEM. OTHER THAN THAT THERE ARE NO OTHER CHANGES OR EXPENDITURES TO REPORT IN THAT IN THE OLD IMPACT FEE DISTRICTS MOVING ON TO OUR OPERATIONS WE ARE 83% THROUGH THE YEAR AND 83% SPENT AS OUR FINANCE COMMITTEE SAID EARLIER THAT'S PERFECT. SO THAT MEANS THAT WE HAVE HELD HELD SPENDING TO BE IN LINE WITH WHERE WE ARE IN THE FISCAL YEAR. WE HAVE A JUST NORMAL EXPENDITURES OUR LINE ITEMS NOTHING SPECIAL HERE TO REPORT AND PERHAPS JOE'S OTHER FAVORITE REPORT IS THE MATERIALS HE LIKES TO ALWAYS SAY HE LOVES TO SEE ITEMS ON THE SHELF AND ITEMS CHECKING OUT. WE HAD A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF EXPENDITURES IN THIS LINE ITEM DUE TO THE LEASE PLAN COLUMN SO WE PAY FOR LEASE ON AN ANNUAL BASIS AND THAT PROVIDES A LOT OF THE NEW BOOKS THAT YOU SEE ON OUR SHELF.
WE DO A LEASE PLAN OR A RENTAL FOR BOOKS SO THAT WE PURCHASE ONE COPY AND THEN HAVE SEVERAL ADDITIONAL COPIES OF THAT THAT TITLE THAT CAN CIRCULATE IN THE INITIAL DEMAND AND THEN RETURN THOSE EXTRA COPIES AND GET SOMETHING ELSE. SO THOSE LEASE PLANS REALLY DO HELP US MAKE SURE THAT WE KEEP UP WITH THE DEMAND ON THE HOT TITLES THAT ARE COMING OUT.
SO SINCE WE RECEIVED OUR ANNUAL RENEWALS TOGETHER BETWEEN THE BOOKS THAT WE'VE PURCHASED IN
[00:25:05]
YOUR FIRST COLUMN AND THEN THE LEASE BOOKS COLUMN, WE HAVE A CLOSE TO $370,000 OF EXPENDITURES TOWARDS BOOKS. IF YOU COMPARE THAT TO HOOPLA THAT SHOWS THAT WE'VE GOT ABOUT 350 PLUS EXPENDITURES IN BOOK BOOKS IN 350 360 IN DIGITAL. SO WE'RE ABOUT EVEN SPENDING DIGITAL IN PRINT. WHAT HE WOULD I WOULD BE REMISS TODAY IF YOU WHAT IF JOE WATCHES ON THE RECORDING I WOULD BE REMISS IF I DID NOT SAY ALL OF THIS MEANS WE ARE THE LIBRARY IS ON TRACK FOR A RECORD YEAR OF SPENDING AND THAT CONCLUDES FINANCE REPORT.ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU VERY MUCH AMANDA. AMANDA, WHILE YOU'RE UP THERE, CAN I ASK YOU A QUESTION WE GOT IN OUR MATERIALS THE LIBRARY ORGANIZATION CHART AND ALWAYS INTERESTED IN WHERE WE ARE RELATIVE TO WORK RECRUITING STAFF.
SO COULD YOU JUST VERBALLY REPORT ON HOW WE'RE DOING? SURE ARE.
ACCORDING TO OUR LATEST ORGANIZATIONAL CHART HAVE ABOUT TEN VACANCIES TEN OR 11 VACANCIES. SIX OF THOSE ARE FOR THE PORT ROYAL LIBRARY AND WE ARE ACTIVELY KIND OF INTERVIEWS FOR THOSE POSITIONS SO THAT READY FOR A FUTURE OPENING DAY THE OTHER ONES ARE WE HAD A RECENT RESIGNATION DUE MILITARY ORDERS SO SOMEONE'S BEING DEPLOYED AND THEN OF COURSE THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR POSITION A COURIER POSITION AND THEN ALSO A CHILDREN'S LIBRARIAN AT BLUFFTON. SO INTERVIEWS ARE ONGOING FOR ALL OF THOSE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR I'VE BEEN I HAVE NOT POSTED YET AS I'M WAITING TO SEE HOW WE REALLY WHAT WE NEED ORGANIZATIONALLY IN WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN THAT CANDIDATE. THANK YOU. GOOD QUESTION.
I DIDN'T KNOW THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR LEFT BECAUSE I WASN'T THE LAST MEETING OH YES.
I'M SAD. YES JOSH WAS A VERY MUCH A HIGH CONTRIBUTOR TO COUNTY LIBRARY IN IN THAT TRANSITION WE'VE OR I'VE READ DELEGATED SOME OF THE TASKS THAT HE WAS AND SO I'M LOOKING TO SEE HOW THAT RETELLING OF TASK WORKS AND THEN IN THE MEANTIME LOOKING OUR ORGANIZATION SYSTEMATICALLY IN STRATEGICALLY TO SEE WHAT ARE THE SKILLS AND TALENTS THAT WE NEED IN THE NEXT DEPUTY DIRECTOR AND WE COMMENTED LAST TIME ABOUT WHAT A GREAT CONTRIBUTOR JOSH WAS TO THE TEAM AND HOW MUCH BE MISSED. HE GOT A GREAT JOB WITH SCAD.
OH REALLY GOOD SAVANNAH AND HAPPY FOR HIM. THANKS SAID FOR US I LOOK TO
[IX. Committee Reports]
THE REPORTS NOW AND I'LL CALL IN THE CHAIRS TO SEE IF THERE'S ANY PROGRESS ON ANY OF THE COMMITTEES. THE FIRST ONE IS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.TRACEY HAVE WE ANYTHING? NO, NOTHING AT ALL AND I'M MORE THAN SURE WE'LL TOGETHER.
YEAH WE HAVE WE HAVE AN ISSUE WE JUST HAVEN'T HAD TIME TO GET TO IS BIG ENOUGH PERIOD SO STRATEGIC PLANNING JANET NOTHING TO REPORT EXCEPT I CONTINUE TO POINT OUT TO ALL OF YOU THAT EVERY TIME SHE REPORTS EVERY TIME AMANDA REPORTS SHE REPORTS EXACTLY ON THE FOUR GOALS THAT WE ESTABLISH IN THE STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS.
SO I REALLY HELPING FOR THE BOARD MEMBERS TO BE ABLE TO SEE HOW THE BIGGER STRATEGIES ARE BEING OPERATIONAL IZED JUST REGULARLY AND HOW THAT IS REALLY THE THE GUIDING MAP OR COMPASS FOR THE LIBRARY STAFFORD'S I AGREE I THINK REALLY HELPS US TIE THAT STRATEGIC PLAN INTO WHAT AMANDA DOES ON REQUEST FOR RECONSIDERATION COMMITTEE IS NOT HERE AND I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THEY'RE DONE. THERE'S NO NEED TO BRING THAT COMMITTEE TOGETHER AT THIS POINT. LIBRARY FACILITIES BERNIE, DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO ADD TO THE REPORT. NO, I THINK THAT THE REPORT FROM AMANDA PRETTY WELL GIVES YOU PICTURE THERE WERE PICTURES THERE AND YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE WHERE WE'RE AT BUT IT'S GOING ON PERSONAL OPINIONS SLOWER THAN I SHOULD HAVE.
BUT THEN IT'S A GOVERNMENT PROJECT. I EMPHASIZE THE WORD JOBS AND A LOT OF TIME AT THE YMCA AND PORT ROYAL BUT THE NEIGHBORS KEEP COMING UP TO ME AND SAYING, YOU KNOW, ONE OF THESE IS GOING TO BE THIS ONE IS WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO DO TO MY PROPERTY OR JOINS SO FORTH AND . I KIND OF TRY TO REASSURE THEM
[00:30:03]
THAT EVERYTHING IS GOING WELL THAT'S MY REPORT. YEAH WELL AS WE ALL KNOW IT TAKES, A OPENING, A LIBRARY IT TAKES A LONG TIME BECAUSE THERE'S SO MUCH ONCE YOU GET THE BUILDING READY THEN YOU HAVE TO DO THE SHELVING. YOU HAVE TO PUT ALL THE BOOKS IN HOW MANY BOOKS ABOUT MANY BOOKS HAVE YOU ORDERED 4000 ITEMS. YEAH. AND THOSE ALL HAVE TO BE TAGGED AND PUT IN AND SHELVES SO IT'S IT'S IT'S NOT IT'S NOT DIFFICULT BUT IT'S TIME CONSUMING.SO FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE WATCHING WHO DON'T NORMALLY SPEND YOUR TIME WATCHING THE LIBRARY BOARD MEETING IT'S A BIG EVERYBODY JUST TO PUT IN PERSPECTIVE WE'RE THRILLED AS A BOARD THAT WE'RE OPENING A BRANCH IN PORT ROYAL AMANDA TO PUT THIS IN PERSPECTIVE WAS THE LAST TIME WE OPENED A NEW BRANCH IN HELENA TO 2012. SO IT'S BEEN 12 YEARS I MEAN EXCUSE ME 22 I'M SORRY JUNE 2000 2000 TO 2002. SO IT'S BEEN 22 YEARS SINCE WE OPENED A NEW BRANCH SO THIS IS A HALLELUJAH CHORUS MOM WOULD HAVE BEEN 12 IS IT.
NO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN 2012. YES OKAY. IT WAS SOMEWHERE SORRY SOMEWHERE WE DID 1012 ANYWAY IT'S 12 YEARS WE DECIDED IT'S OFFICIAL.
WE TOOK A VOTE AND WE KNOW THE PEOPLE OF PORT ROYAL ARE THRILLED AND WE GOT GREAT COVERAGE IN THE NEWSPAPER AND OTHER PLACES AS TO THE OFFICIAL NAMING OF THE LIBRARY AND THEY'LL BE SOON UNDETERMINED YET A TERRIFIC RIBBON KIND OF CUTTING AND CEREMONY TO CELEBRATE WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DEVELOPMENT THIS IS. AFTER 12 YEARS OF NOT HAVING A NEW BRANCH PLOT AND TO SAY THAT LIKE THANK YOU ACCURATELY DESCRIBED YOU KNOW WE'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THIS LONGER THAN THE PROJECT HAS ACTUALLY BEEN IN PROCESS.
YOU HEAR ABOUT IT FIRST AND THEN IT HAS TO GO THROUGH ALL THE APPROVAL PROCESSES.
THEN THOSE PROCESSES HAVE PROCESSES AND SO IT FEELS LIKE WE'VE TALKING ABOUT THIS FOR A LONG TIME LIKE WE WERE TALKING ABOUT LAND FOR A REALLY LONG TIME AND THEN MONTHS AFTER YOU'VE YOU KNOW APPROVED THE PURCHASE OF LAND THEN THE CHECK IS CUT AND THEN THOSE THINGS ARE FINALLY EASED. SO AS YOU SAID IT'S GOING AS FAST AS IT CAN IN TERMS OF THE SPEED OF GOVERNMENT. THIS ONE HAS BEEN LIGHTNING FAST TO GO FROM NOT HAVING THIS AS A PLANNED LIBRARY BE TALKING ABOUT VERY SOON OPENING IT IT'S WITHIN TWO YEARS IT'S PRETTY FAST BUT JUST TO PUT THAT IN PERSPECTIVE IT'S BECAUSE SPACE BECAME AVAILABLE IN A CURRENT BUILDING SO WE DIDN'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH A DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION.
BUT I ALSO THINK YOU KNOW WE'RE AT A RED LETTER MOMENT IN TERMS OF THE PURCHASE OF LAND.
THE PURCHASE OF LAND IS GOING TO ALLOW US TO OPEN YET ANOTHER WE DON'T KNOW WHEN BASED ON THE LIGHTNING SPEED THAT YOU KNOW I MEAN THE LIGHTNING BUT IT WILL BE IT WILL BE IN OUR LIFETIMES.
YOU KNOW, IF I LIVE LONG YOU'LL LIVE LONG ENOUGH BERNIE. ALL RIGHT.
WE'VE BEEN TALKING TO THE FAA. WE'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THESE ADDITIONS TO THE BLUFFTON TO ADD ANOTHER LIBRARY WHAT FOR FIVE YEARS? YEAH, IT'S A LONG FIVE YEARS BUT IT'S SO HARD TO PUT THAT WE IT TO BE AS PERFECT AS IT CAN BE AND SO IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO GET THAT RIGHT. SO I THANK YOU VERY MUCH. THE NEXT COMMITTEE WOULD BE THE DIRECTORS EVALUATION AD HOC COMMITTEE JANET. YES.
I MENTIONED AT THE LAST MEETING THAT YOU WOULD BE GETTING AN EMAIL AND YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN IT YET. IT'S NOT THAT YOU'VE MISSED IT TERRY IT'S THAT I HAVEN'T SENT IT OUT YET BUT AMANDA HAS FINISHED HER SELF-EVALUATION AND YOU'LL GET A COPY OF HER SELF-ASSESSMENT FOR STAFF EVALUATION AND COPY OF THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND A COPY OF THE EVALUATION FORM TO CONSIDER. AND WE'LL SCHEDULE LIKE A 30 MINUTE CONVERSATION WITH EACH OF YOU TO GET FEEDBACK AND THEN I'LL PRESENT THE DRAFT REPORT IN JULY AND YOU'LL HAVE A TO MAKE ANY FINAL EDITS WHEN WE GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION BECAUSE THAT'S AN EXECUTIVE SESSION ITEM AND THEN AND THEN WE'LL FINALIZE IT AND AMANDA AND I WILL SIT DOWN SO LOOK FOR THAT LOOK FOR THAT EMAIL AND I'LL I'LL BUG IF I DON'T HEAR FROM YOU.
OKAY THANK YOU. SO THAT WILL BE JULY AND THE LICENSE BRENDA DID YOU HAVE YOU HAD A CHANCE TO BE AT ANY OF THE BEAUFORT FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY MEETING OKAY.
AND THEN AMANDA HAS REPORTED FOR HERSELF AND THEN FOR JO I WON'T ASK TO REPORT AGAIN BUT I WAS NOT AT THE LAST MEETING IT WAS HELD APRIL 9TH LOOKING AT THE MINUTES JUST AS AMANDA ON THE STRATEGIC PLAN THE BEFORE IT THE BEAUFORT FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY VERY MUCH THEY GO BY
[00:35:02]
WHAT HAS HAPPENED AND DETERMINE WHAT THEY NEED TO DO TO MAKE THINGS SO THAT'S WHAT THEY DID AS FAR AS THEIR BOOKS SANDWICHED IN THE WATERFRONT BOOK SALE AND EVEN MEMBERSHIP AND COMMUNICATIONS THEY VERY MUCH REVIEW BETTER THE ONE THING THAT AMANDA YOU MIGHT HAVE INFORMATION ON THEY MENTIONED THIS STORYWALK AT HERITAGE PARK WAS NOT INSTALLED IT IS NOT CURRENTLY INSTALLED AND THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO GET THOSE PIECES MOVING WITH THE TOWN OF PORT ROYAL OAK AND NEXT MEETING WILL BE TOMORROW AND ALREADY THEY HAVE SCHEDULED THEIR ANNUAL MEETING WHICH WILL BE JUNE 22ND AT 930 IN BLUFFTON .DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO REPORT FROM THE BLUE OH I WAS PERSONALLY SO THRILLED TO WORK WITH THEM ON THE JASON RYAN AUTHOR EVENT THEY HAD THEY ALSO WORKED WITH ME ON THAT AND I BELIEVE THEY WERE ABLE TO TALK TO PARTICIPANT ABOUT MEMBERSHIP IN THE FRIENDS THE FRIENDS OF BLUFFTON GROUP IS REALLY ENERGIZED AND THEY'RE EXCITED ABOUT EXPLORING NEW OPPORTUNITIES AND THEIR NEXT MEETING WILL BE ON JUNE THE SIXTH AND THEY'RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO TALK ABOUT HOW THEY CAN BEST SERVE. THEY'RE IN THE PROCESS OF CONSIDERING NEW PROJECTS THAT THEY MAY WANT TO TAKE ON FOR THE NEXT.
THANK YOU, GENTLEMEN. I WAS AT THE HILTON MEETING AND HILTON HAD HAS RECEIVED AN INQUIRY FROM A BOOK CLUB AT A NEIGHBORING HOME DEVELOPMENT AREA PALMETTO HALL AND THE THE BOOK CLUB WOULD TO DONATE $300 TOWARDS A BENCH BECAUSE ONE OF THE ONE OF THEIR LADIES HAS PASSED ON AND SHE WAS A SHE WAS NOT ONLY A VERY IMPORTANT MEMBER OF THE BOOK CLUB BUT SHE ALSO VOLUNTEERED SO THEY WERE WORKING WITH THEM TO TO GET A NEW BENCH AND PUT A LABEL IT AND EVERYTHING LIKE THAT. BUT I'D LIKE TO ENCOURAGE THOSE KIND OF DONATIONS THE BOOK CLUBS BECAUSE THOSE KIND OF THINGS IT'S NOT IT'S NOT A IT'S NOT A BIG STATEMENT BUT IT'S AN IMPORTANT STATEMENT THAT THE PUBLIC IS SO APPRECIATIVE FOR WHAT THE LIBRARY DOES IT AND TO BE SEEN SOMETHING THAT BADLY NEEDS REPLACING THIS BENCH IS AWFUL SO THAT'S WHAT THEY DID AND THEN THERE'S THEY'RE GOING TO BE OUT FOR THE SUMMER SO THEY'RE PRETTY MUCH DONE AFTER THIS AND ACCESS THE PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION WITH ALL OF THE WITH ALL OF THE GROWTH THAT WERE SEEN WITH THE WITH THE LIBRARY, THEY WOULD LIKE TO WORK A LITTLE BIT HARDER AND TRY TO GROW THE FOUNDATION SO IT CAN BE MORE OF A OF A CONTRIBUTING ARM TO TO VARIOUS PROJECTS THAT. THE PUBLIC LIBRARY DOES THAT THEY CAN'T BUT THEY DON'T GET FROM ANY OTHER ANY OTHER WAY SO THEY'RE GOING THEY'RE LOOKING AT CONSULTANTS NOW TO HOW THEY CAN GROW THEIR THEIR ORGANIZATION SO.
THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO REPORT FROM THEM. ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT DESCRIBE LYNN THAT THE PUBLIC HEALTH FOUNDATION IS FOR IMMIGRATION? YES. THE FOUNDATION STARTED ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO AND THAT THEY BRANDS ARE VERY GOOD AT TAKING CARE OF THE BRANCH LIBRARIES THAT THEY ARE NEAR OR THAT THEY'RE PART OF . THEY NEEDED SOMETHING OVERALL TO HELP THE DIRECTOR OF THE LIBRARY WITH BIGGER PROJECTS. THEY HELP WITH SUMMER READING THEY HELP I KNOW THAT IN THE PAST THEY BOUGHT LARGE PRINT BOOKS THEY HAVE DONE WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S ISSUES IF SHE NEEDS BOOKS TO PASS OUT DIFFERENT CHILDREN'S FUNCTIONS SO THOSE ARE THE KINDS OF THINGS THAT THEY DO. AMANDA WHAT OTHER THINGS THEY ARE NOW THEY NOW HAVE THEIR THIRD ARTIST IN RESIDENCE. THEY ALSO ARE EXPLORING WAYS TO I DON'T WANT TO THEY'RE CURRENTLY THINKING ABOUT SOME THINGS AND CONSIDERING HOW THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO COMPLEMENT OUR COLLECTIONS AND ALSO PROGRAMS REALLY IN A MEANINGFUL WAY THEY HELP SUPPORT THE BGC WHICH IS THE HISTORICAL ARM OF THE LIBRARY AND WHICH WHICH ALSO DOESN'T GET FUNDING FROM DON'T THINK FROM ANYBODY. SO I DON'T FUNDING. SO THAT'S KIND OF WHAT IT DOES AND. SO THEY WOULD LIKE TO BE A LITTLE BIT MORE KNOWN AS A PLACE FOR A PLACE FOR DONATIONS AND EXPLORE OTHER WAYS THAT THEY CAN HELP THE LIBRARY AS
[00:40:03]
