[5. Public Comment]

[00:00:08]

. PUBLIC COMMENT PLEASE GO OUT THERE INTRODUCE YOURSELF AND LET US KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS. THERE'S A THERE'S A PODIUM RIGHT THERE THAT YOU CAN QUITE EVEN WORK. LET'S SEE. HI, MY NAME IS JIM PERRY.

I'M HERE FOR SORT OF AN UNRELATED QUESTION. I'VE BEEN RECENTLY DISCOVERED A HIDDEN GEM OF A PASSIVE PARK. SO I TALKED TO THE PASSIVE PARKS DIRECTOR MR. EVENING TO AGED ABOUT THIS PROPERTY AND I WASN'T VERY SATISFIED WITH THE ANSWERS.

THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED RIGHT DIRECTLY ON 170 NEXT TO THE NATURE ASSISTED LIVING COMPLEX IT CONSISTS OF 82 ACRES THAT WAS PURCHASED BY BEAUFORT COUNTY FOR $2 MILLION IN 2016.

SO IF ANY OF YOU ALL WOULD LIKE TO GO DOWN THERE AND TAKE A LOOK AT IT? THERE'S A SMALL PARKING AREA. IT'S ABOUT 200 FEET NORTH OF THE NHC ENTRANCE AND A LOVELY LITTLE ONE QUARTER OF A MILE WALK DOWN TO A LAKE GOES PAST A LOT OF BEAUTIFUL OLD LIVE OAK TREES SOME OF WHICH OVER 25 FEET IN CIRCUMFERENCE. IF YOU AT IT IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE A DRIVEWAY TO AN ANTEBELLUM MANSION. IT'S QUITE STRIKINGLY BEAUTIFUL AND I BELIEVE THAT IT DESERVES TO BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC SO PEOPLE CAN WANDER DOWN THERE AND ENJOY IT. MR. GIRARD APPARENTLY THINKS OTHERWISE.

IF YOU LOOK AT THE PROPERTY THERE ARE LOTS OF BIG UGLY SIGNS NO TRESPASSING, NO THIS SNOW THAT NO THE OTHER THING. SO THE SECOND THING WHICH I FIND CURIOUS ALSO ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROPERTY IT RUNS ALONGSIDE OF DAVIS ROAD. DAVIS ROAD IS A DIRT ROAD OFF OF 170 RIGHT DIRECTLY ADJACENT TO THE SAME NHC FACILITY. IF YOU GO UP 170 MAKE A RIGHT ON DAVIS ROAD GO ABOUT AN EIGHTH OF A MILE. YOU'LL IMMEDIATELY NOTICE A HUGE CLEAR CUT AREA OF APPROXIMATELY 20 TO 25 ACRES.

THIS WAS CLEAR CUT IN 2021. WHY? I DON'T BUT IT'S PART OF PARKS DIRECTOR STEPHANIE DIGIT DOES NOT TO WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT BECAUSE I'VE ASKED HER AND SHE SAYS SHE'LL GET BACK ME BUT SHE NEVER HAS. SO I WAS HOPING THAT SOMEONE HERE WOULD SOME INFORMATION MAYBE THEY HEARD SOMETHING YOU KNOW REMEMBER THE PROPERTY WAS PURCHASED 2016 THE CLEAR CUTTING WAS DONE IN 2021 THAT'S FIVE YEARS LATER AND STILL NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. THERE'S NO SIGNS UP. IT SAYS, YOU KNOW, COMING ATTRACTIONS OR WHATEVER. IT'S JUST A HARD UGLY SCAR. YOU HAVE TO REALLY SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT LOOKS LIKE THE SURFACE OF THE MOON SO. ANYWAY, THERE'S TWO THINGS RIGHT THERE THE CLEAR CUT AREA WHICH I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET ANSWERED AND THIS OTHER AREA WHICH ASSOCIATED WITH THE SAME PROPERTY BUT THEY'RE NOT VISIBLE FROM THE FROM THE LOVELY WALK THANKFULLY YOU SEE THROUGH TO THE CLEAR CUT AREA THAT'S THAT'S JUST THAT'S THE OTHER OF THE PROPERTY SO I HAVE A FEW HANDOUTS YOU KNOW IF ANYBODY WOULD LIKE ONE JUST STICK OUT YOUR HAND YOU KNOW. ALL RIGHT THAT I'VE GOT A HAND OUT RIGHT HERE AND HAND OUT RIGHT THANK YOU JAMES. JAMES IS THAT THE EXTENT OF YOUR COMMENT? OKAY, WE WILL TAKE THIS UNDER ADVISEMENT.

PASSIVE PARKS I DON'T BELIEVE ARE UNDER OUR PURVIEW. SO SO WHAT I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO IS GO TO COUNTY AND GO TO THE PUBLIC SECTION OF ONE OF THEIR MEETINGS AND I THINK THAT THAT WOULD BE THE FORUM FOR WHICH YOU COULD PRESENT THIS.

WOULD YOU BE IN AGREEMENT WITH THAT? HANK CLEARLY APPRECIATE YOU COMING TODAY AND THIS IS SOMETHING THAT I WAS UNAWARE OF AS WELL SO UNFORTUNATE I CAN'T COMMENT ON ANYTHING ABOUT IT BUT I APPRECIATE WHAT YOU SAID.

IT'S ON THE RECORD, YOU KNOW, FEEL FREE, YOU KNOW, UNDER POTENTIAL OF ARREST BY THE PEST PARKS DEPARTMENT BUT FREE GO DOWN HERE. TAKE A LOOK FOR YOURSELF.

IT'S A LOVELY SPOT AND YOU'LL SAY IS THIS PLACE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC? VERY GOOD. THANKS, JIM THANK YOU. OKAY, WE HAVE OUR NEXT PERSON OR PEOPLE HERE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT. HI, MY NAME IS GEORGE BUSH.

I AM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE MYCOSPHAERELLA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF THE FORMER HIGH SCHOOL. NOW I'M HERE FOR ONE PARTICULAR REASON TODAY AND I'VE BEEN BEFORE YOU BEFORE ASKING REQUESTING THE SAME WE ARE WHEN I SAY WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION WE HAVE TWO EVENTS PLANNED TO BE HOUSED AT THE MIKE ISRAELI PARK SITE AND

[00:05:04]

GO TO ROAD AND WE NEED YOUR HELP IN GETTING THE FEES FOR THE OF THAT PROPERTY WAIVE THE FIRST DATE THAT WE ARE CONCERNED WITH IS THE MAY 25TH OF 2024.

OUR PLANS IS TO HAVE A RADIO TELETHON FUNDRAISER AT THIS SITE AND WHEN I SAY AT THE SITE WHAT I'M ABOUT THE RADIO AND 94.5 RADIO STATION WE WILL BE BROADCASTING OUR TELETHON RIGHT FROM THE SURFACE THE OUTDOOR BASKETBALL COURT THERE AND WILL NEED TO USE THE BASKETBALL COURT AND OF COURSE THE TWO RESTROOMS OUT THERE ON THAT PARTICULAR AND AGAIN AS WE TALK IN ABOUT 4 HOURS WE'LL GO FROM 1030 UNTIL 2:30 P.M. AT THE SECOND EVENT WILL HAPPEN ON LABOR DAY MONDAY WHICH IS SEPTEMBER THE SECOND 2024. WE HAVE AN ALL CLASS REUNION COMMUNITY PICNIC PLANNED THERE. WELL WE WILL BE USING NOT ONLY THE BASKETBALL COURT SURFACE BUT THE ENTIRE TIRE TIRE CENTER THERE BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO BE PUTTING UP TENTS PORTABLE TENTS ALL AROUND AS WE CELEBRATE OUR TAILGATE, OUR CLASS. AND LIKE I SAID BEFORE, THE FIRST EVENT WHICH IS A RADIO TELETHON THERE WILL NEVER BE NO MORE 10 TO 15 PEOPLE ACCOMMODATED AT SAY THAT ONE TIME HOWEVER THERE'S A BIT OF A DIFFERENCE ON THE SECOND THAT LABOR DAY WE PLAN TO HAVE 75 TO MAYBE 90 PEOPLE FOR THAT EVENT .

SO MY REQUEST IS LIKE YOU DID IN 2022 WHEN I MADE THE REQUEST WE ASKED YOU TO ACCOMMODATE US AND WAIVE THOSE FEES FOR THE RENTAL ACCOMMODATION THERE. I DO I DO REMEMBER YOU BEING IN OF US AND US APPROVING THAT I DON'T REMEMBER THE AROUND THAT I DO KNOW THAT THERE'S A WEREN'T YOU DIDN'T YOU THERE'S LIKE A MONUMENT AREA THERE. YEAH.

AND DIDN'T YOU ALL RAISE SOME MONEY AND IMPROVE THAT MONUMENT GOT THAT STILL PROCESS PHASE ONE HAS BEEN COMPLETED WHICH IN ESSENCE ENTAIL INSTALLING THE WROUGHT IRON GATES AND ALSO SOME EMBLEMS AS WELL. WE GOT TO FINISH OFF WHAT WE CALL THE MICHAEL C BUCKLE ON A CIRCLE WHERE WE'RE GOING TO BE EMPLOYING ERECTING SOME PILLARS WITH THE PLATE DEDICATED TO SOME OF THE TEACHERS AND OUR PRINCIPAL WHO TAUGHT WHO HAD THAT AT THE FORMER HIGH SCHOOL.

NOW YOU HAD A PRETTY SUCCESSFUL EVENT THE LAST TIME YOU DID THAT YEAH WE THE FIRST TELETHON WHICH WAS DONE IN 2022 THESE THESE TYPE EVENTS ARE DONE EVERY YEAR SO YOU WOULDN'T SEE ME NEXT YEAR BUT YOU PROBABLY SEE ME IN 2026 MAKING THE SAME REQUEST WE HAD A RADIO TELETHON BUT WE RAISED IN EXCESS OF $10,000 WHICH IS A PRETTY GOOD PIECE WE HAD THE OLD CLASS REUNION THAT LABOR DAY MONDAY AS WELL WHEREAS WE HAD ABOUT HUNDRED AND PROBABLY HUNDRED AND 50 PEOPLE AND SO WE'RE EXPECTING THE SAME TYPE. RIGHT.

CAN WE CAN WE LIMIT I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT WE DID TIME IN TERMS OF DID YOU HAVE THE WHOLE COMPLEX OR DID YOU JUST HAVE THE FIELD WAS ADJACENT TO THE PARK NOW ON THE THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION FOR THE RADIO WE DON'T NEED THE WHOLE COMPLEX RIGHT WE ONLY NEED THE SURFACE OF THE OUTDOOR BASKETBALL COURT THERE BECAUSE THE LAST TIME WE DID IT WE HAD SOME FAMILIES OUT THERE ARE PRACTICING BASEBALL WITH THEIR KIDS. THAT DID NOT BOTHER US AT ALL.

HOWEVER, SEPTEMBER THE SECOND WE NEEDED THE ENTIRE COMPLEX BECAUSE WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT IS PUTTING UP TENTS ALL OVER AT VARIOUS SITES ALL OVER THE ENTIRE PARK AREA AND IN WAS

[00:10:02]

THAT WHAT WE APPROVED LAST TIME ? OKAY.

DID YOU REMOVE YOUR OWN TRASH? I DON'T REMEMBER. WE REMOVE OUR OWN TRASH.

PUT UP OUR OWN TENTS. THE ONLY THING THAT YOU YOU MADE AVAILABLE FOR US INDEED YOU MADE THE FACILITIES AVAILABLE BUT YOU ALSO MADE THE RESTROOMS AVAILABLE.

RIGHT. AND BECAUSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT ALL ADULTS HERE AND WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT YOUNG PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE THE ABILITY MAINTAIN AND TO CLEAN UP AND STUFF LIKE THAT CERTAINLY. OKAY. WE HAVE ANY COMMENTS THIS OR ANY ANY MOTIONS I DON'T THINK THERE WOULD BE ANY CONFLICT WITH ANYTHING ON AT THAT TIME.

BASEBALL IS OVER. IT SHOULD BE IN LABOR DAY MONDAY.

I CAN'T IMAGINE SOME 525 YEAH THAT'S JUST THAT'S MEMORIAL DAY AND WHO CARES THE BEST BUT IT WILL BE OKAY I'M VERY PROUD WE'RE SUPPOSED TO DO THE EVENT. YEAH.

IT'S BENEFITING THE COMMUNITY THEN IT'S BEEN DONE BEFORE AND I AND I BELIEVE THAT AS MR. BUSH HAS SAID, THEY'RE LOOKING TO IMPROVE THAT PART OF THE PARK THAT IS HONORARIUM TO DEMOCRACY RALLY AND OTHER FOLKS AS WELL. SO DO I HAVE MOTION TO REMOVE MAKE A THAT WE WAIVE THE FEE MAKING MOTION THAT WE WAIVE THE FEE SECOND OKAY WITH CAVEAT OBVIOUSLY THAT YOU YOU REMOVE YOUR OWN TRASH LIKE YOU DID LAST TIME WELL OKAY ALL RIGHT ALL IN FAVOR I OPPOSED MOTION HARRIS THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU MY NAME DANIEL BLACKMAN.

I'M THE PRESIDENT OF THE NORTHWEST QUADRANT OF BEAUFORT NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION AND SOME YOU WERE HERE WHEN I SPOKE. I THINK IT WAS IT WAS YOUR LAST MEETING WHEN THERE WASN'T A QUORUM. SO I THINK IT WAS OCTOBER .

I'M NOT SURE. AND FOR THOSE OF YOU IT IS AN HOUR MINUTES FROM LAST LAST MEETING AND WE DID NOT IT'S ON PAGE TWO OF SIX AND GO RIGHT AHEAD.

OKAY. FIRST I WANT TO THANK THE STAFF, THE PEOPLE, THE STAFF HANK AND I KNOW IF MR. DANCE'S PARTICIPATED BUT HE I SPOKE TO HIM THE OTHER DAY ABOUT THE FACILITY THE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE FACILITY MADE BY THE COUNTY HAVE BEEN VERY WELL APPRECIATED BY THE NEIGHBORS IN THE NORTHWEST QUADRANT WHICH IS SORT OF THE CENTER OF THE CITY OF BEAUFORT. IT'S A NEIGHBORHOOD THAT IS DIVERSE IN BOTH INCOME AND AGE AND WHETHER THEY'RE RETIRED OR WHETHER THEY'RE WORKING STILL SO IT'S A NEIGHBORHOOD THAT USED TO USE CHARLES LYNN BROWN CENTER EXTENSIVELY. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO GREW UP USING THAT CENTER AFTER GOT OUT OF SCHOOL TO PLAY BASKETBALL AND THEY PART OF A GROUP THAT WE COORDINATE WITH CALLED THE FRIENDS OF THE CHARLES LYNN BROWN CENTER SO BETWEEN THOSE PEOPLE WHO MAY NOT LIVE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD BUT THEY LIVE NEARBY IN LADY'S ISLAND IN SAINT HELENA AND IN THE AREA THEY WITH THE CHARLES LINDBERGH THEY REMEMBER CHARLES LYNN BROWN I'VE ONLY BEEN HERE 12 YEARS SO I DON'T REMEMBER THAT WAS BUT I'VE READ HIS HISTORY AND THIS CENTER WAS DEDICATED TO HIM. THERE'S MORE THAT THE COUNTY IS WORKING WITH US ON. WE SORT OF REPRESENT THE PUBLIC IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND WE TRIED TO WE'VE HAD TWO MEETINGS IN THE NEW NEWLY PAINTED COMMUNITY CENTER ROOM IS THE LARGER ROOM. THE LAST TIME WE THERE WAS THE END OF JANUARY WE HAD THE NEW MAYOR COME AND SPEAK. MAYOR CROMER AND HIS STAFF CAME AND INFORMED NEIGHBORS OF ISSUES THAT THEY WERE CONCERNED WITH AND GAVE GIVE AND TAKE.

SO WE USED IT THAT DAY AND WE USE IT AFTER THE LAST MEETING WHEN I HERE AND IN BOTH OCCASIONS WE WENT THE COMMITMENT BEFOREHAND IT WAS A PREVIOUS DIRECTOR SHANNON HAD

[00:15:10]

SAID THEY COULD WEIGH THE FEE IF WE'RE JUST USING A ROOM IF WE CLEAN AFTERWARDS THE ROOM IS CONNECTED TO A KITCHEN. HAVEN'T ASKED TO USE THE KITCHEN YET AND IF WE DO IT WOULD PROBABLY BE DINNERS BROUGHT IN AND SERVED FROM THE KITCHEN RATHER THAN USING THE ACTUAL EQUIPMENT IN THE KITCHEN BUT THE KITCHEN HAS HAD A MAJOR CHANGE.

THERE ARE SUPER OF REFRIGERATORS AND STOVES THERE THAT GROUPS COULD USE.

SO I'M HERE TO ASK YOU TO WAIVE THE FEES WHATEVER THEY ARE BECAUSE THE CHARLES LYNN BROWN IS NOT PARTICULARLY NOTICED ALTHOUGH BURTON BUCKWALTER AND PORT ROYAL THERE'S A LIST FOR FEES SO WE WERE A LITTLE BIT WHEN IT SAYS SECURITY DEPOSIT A CLEANING FEE THINGS LIKE THAT WELL JUST JUST GO BACK TO YOUR YOUR REQUEST LAST TIME RIGHT WHICH WAS YOU HAD A RENTAL FEE YOU WERE GOING TO HAVE EIGHT MEETINGS FOR THE YEAR. THAT'S TRUE AND YOU ASKED THAT WE WAIVE THAT RIGHT AND SO WE SAID THAT WE WOULD ADDRESS THIS WHEN YOU US EXACT DATES AND THE INFORMATION MEANING HOW LONG YOU'RE GOING TO MEET THERE ETC. SO I CAN TELL YOU QUICKLY BECAUSE IT'S REGULAR WELL I MEAN OUR THIS THE LAST TIME YOU WERE HERE IT WAS EIGHT MEETINGS OVER A YEAR YES IS IS THAT CHANGE NO IT'S THE SAME OKAY SO AND IT AND IT RUNS WE TRIED TO DO IT WITH WHEN THE EMPLOYEE IS THERE AND LAST TIME WE MET WAS THE END OF JANUARY THERE WAS A BASKETBALL GOING ON WE LEFT JUST SHORTLY BEFORE THE BASKETBALL LET OUT SO HE WAS STILL THERE AND WE HELPED HIM CLOSE AND CLEAN UP AND THINGS LIKE THAT.

WE'LL GET SO YOU MEET FOR A PARTICULAR AMOUNT OF TIME WE USUALLY MEET 6 TO 8 BUT BECAUSE OF HIS HOURS WE MOVED IT TO 530 TO 7. OKAY IN IN SO YOU WOULD LIKE YOU'RE GOING TO GIVE US THE DATES IN AS LONG AS WE HAVE NO CONFLICTS IT'S GOING TO BE 530 TO 7 FOUR SIX MORE TIMES THIS YEAR OR SEVEN MORE EVERY MARCH. OH YOU MEAN THE CALENDAR YEAR? YES, HE'S SEVEN. OKAY. ALL RIGHT.

GIVE YOU THE EXACT DATES AND HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR WELL, WHEN THE MAYOR CAME WE HAD ABOUT 50 BUT NORMALLY WE HAVE ABOUT 30 BUT THE ROOM WAS ADEQUATE BUT IT WAS JUST BARREN FROM 50. IT'S JUST BARELY. OKAY.

ALL RIGHT. DO I HAVE A QUICK QUESTION? YOU'RE GOING TO YOU'RE GOING TO DO THE SAME CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES AND MAKE SURE THIS TIME IT'S CLEAN AFTER YOU LEAVE? YES. YES.

WE PULLED THE BAGS OF THE RUBBISH. REPLACE THEM WITH TY'S HELP.

HE'S A GOOD STAFF MEMBER. OKAY, I MOVE THAT WE WAIVE THE FEES FOR THE LIAM BROWN FRIENDS OF LIAM BROWN CENTER SESSION. OKAY. FOR SEVEN MEETINGS, ONE AND A HALF HOURS APIECE WITH CLEANING UP AFTER YOURSELF. OKAY AND I'LL MEMORIALIZE IT EXACT DATES FOR THE I CONSENT OKAY YEAH WELL WE WOULD NEED TO HAVE THOSE SO THAT IF THERE WERE ANY CONFLICTS WITH COUNTY PROGRAMS OR ANYTHING THAT THAT THERE WEREN'T ANY CONFLICTS.

RIGHT OKAY. ALL RIGHT SO I'VE GOT A MOTION SO YOU'RE GOING TO LET ME AMEND THAT? SURE. PENDING THOSE DATES THEY DON'T CONFLICT WITH ANYTHING SEVEN DAYS OR SEVEN DAYS WE HAVE CONFLICT WITH ANYTHING THAT WE CAN WEIGH THOSE FEES. THE FRIENDS OF LIAM BROWN CERTAINLY OKAY.

IS THIS FRIENDS OF LYNN BROWN OR IS THIS NORTHWEST CROSS? IT'S A NORTHWEST QUADRANT? OKAY. NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION. OKAY, THANKS VERY GOOD.

OKAY. ALL RIGHT. WE'VE GOT A MOTION ON THE FLOOR THAT'S AMENDED. DO WE HAVE ANY DISCUSSION? MM.

OKAY. ALL IN FAVOR I POST THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND THEY'RE DOING A GREAT JOB. THANK YOU. IT'S GOOD TO HEAR.

I'M CHERYL MANSON RESIDENT OF NORTHERN COUNTY AND AVID CREW ROWER.

I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR THIS TIME OF PUBLIC COMMENT OPPORTUNITY CRAIG AND I REPRESENT A FULL ON EFFORT TO BRING CREW ROWING TO NORTHERN FOR ALL INTERESTED RESIDENTS.

THERE IS AN EXISTING ADULT PROGRAM CALLED BEAUFORT ROWING CLUB OUR FIRST STEP IN HAVING CREW ROWING AVAILABLE TO ALL IS A DOCK IN DECEMBER 2023 PORT ROYAL COUNCILWOMAN ALICE HOWARD

[00:20:02]

SET UP A SUCCESSFUL MEETING WITH COUNTY AND OUR TEAM CRAIG TRACY AND MYSELF.

THIS GROUP AGREED THAT THE COUNTY ON THE 11 ACRES AT THE EXISTING COUNTY PARRIS ISLAND BOAT LANDING IS AN IDEAL CREW ROWING LOCATION FOR THE PUBLIC .

THE COUNTY IS CURRENTLY DOING THE REQUIRED TITLE SEARCH ON THEIR PROPERTY.

BEAUFORT CLUB HAS THE EQUIPMENT TO GET NEW ROWERS START IT. CRAIG HAS OR SPOKEN WITH 18 PUBLIC CHARTER PRIVATE AND HOMESCHOOL THE VAST MAJORITY ARE VERY INTERESTED IN YOUTH ROWING WHICH IS NOT AVAILABLE AT ALL IN NORTHERN BEAUFORT COUNTY AT THIS TIME ALSO VERY INTERESTED ARE AMY KIDS YOUNG LIFE AND THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB THERE ARE MANY OTHER POPULATIONS WE ARE INFORMING AS WELL SUCH AS VETERANS ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY AND ADAPTIVE ROWERS. ADAPTIVE IS NAME FOR ROWERS WITH DISABILITIES AND THAT IS OLYMPIC SPORT SOUTHERN BEAUFORT ALREADY HAS YOUTH AND ADULT ROWING PROGRAMS AND FACILITIES IN PLACE CREW. ROWING IS AN AWESOME SPORT OR RECREATION FOR THOSE AND CAPABLE. WE ARE HERE TODAY AS WHEN THE DOCK IS IN PLACE WE WILL NEED AN ORGANIZATION TO OPERATE THE YOUTH AND OTHER ROWING PROGRAMS .

THIS IS OUR BEGINNING OF IN-PERSON EXPLORING THIS POSSIBILITY WITH THIS BOARD AND THE COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT WE ARE HERE TO BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND THE OPERATIONS THE PARKS AND REC BOARD AND THE PARKS AND REC. WE WELCOME DEVELOPING A RELATIONSHIP AS WELL AS YOUR COMMENTS QUESTIONS, SUGGESTIONS I HAVE MUCH DATA I WOULD LOVE TO SHARE WITH YOU. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND I ALSO WANT TO THANK HEATHER WHO HAS ANSWERED UMPTEEN PHONE CALLS OF MINE OVER THE YEARS. OKAY THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

JUST A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS SO THE FACILITY THAT YOU WOULD BE OPERATING THIS OUT OF IS IT OWNED BY THE COUNTY OR OWNED BY THE TOWN OF PORT ROYAL. IT IS IN THE TOWN OF PORT ROYAL AND PRIOR TO THE TIDAL SURGE VALIDATING THAT IT THE THE 11 ACRES BELONGS TO THE COUNTY OH OKAY AND AND YOU'RE SAYING YOU NEED A DOCK WOULD A DOCK NEED BE CONSTRUCTED OR IS A DOCK THERE ALREADY NO DOCK WE TO HAVE ONE CONSTRUCTED. OH SO THIS IS YOUR PRELIM THIS IS PRELIMINARY VERY PRELIMINARY . WE WANTED TO EDUCATE OURSELVES PRIMARILY THE POSSIBILITIES OF MAYBE THE COUNTY PARKS REC DEPARTMENT BEING THE FACILITY OF THE YOUTH AND OTHER PROGRAMS CERTAINLY. I THINK CLEARLY YOU MENTIONED SOUTHERN BEAUFORT COUNTY. I HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE OF THE ROWING PROGRAM AND SOUTHERN COUNTY THAT'S DONE THROUGH THE ISLAND REC ASSOCIATION AND THAT WAS A PARTNERSHIP I BELIEVE WITH THE TOWN OF HILTON HEAD ON THAT AND THE FUNDING OF THAT I FORGOT EXACTLY WHERE THAT CAME FROM BUT SO YES WELCOME WHAT YOU WANT TO DO YOU KNOW WE PROVIDE PROGRAMING WE DO 7030 PROGRAMS. I DON'T IF THIS WOULD BE APPROPRIATE FOR THAT I WOULD THINK THE BIGGEST HURDLE BE A FACILITY FINDING THAT AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DOCK BECAUSE AS WE LOOK TO FACILITIES THOSE ARE TYPICALLY ON LONG PLANS. SO I WOULD URGE YOU TO STAY IN WITH HANK AND THE DEPARTMENT AND WORK THROUGH THOSE TO DETERMINE IF IT'S A PROGRAM THAT THE COUNTY WOULD LIKE TO UNDERTAKE OR MAYBE IT WOULD BE A 7030 AND THEN OBVIOUSLY NEED TO WE WOULD ALL NEED TO DETERMINE THE REQUIRED AND IF THEY'RE NOT THERE, YOU KNOW, MAYBE THERE'S A DIFFERENT ALTERNATIVE. I DON'T I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION AT POINT. OKAY. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY OTHER

[00:25:01]

QUESTIONS FOR? YES. HOW MANY HOW MANY CHILDREN DO YOU PLAN DO YOU THINK WILL PARTICIPATE IN THIS ESTIMATE OF THE 18 SCHOOLS THAT CRAIG CONTACTED WHO WERE NOT INTERESTED? WE DON'T WE ARE IN THE BEGINNING OF OF ABSOLUTE DATA COLLECTION SO THAT'S OUR NEXT WE WE NEED TO GO TO EACH SCHOOL SEPARATELY AND SO WE ARE RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF COLLECTING NUMBERS FROM EACH SPECIFIC SCHOOL AND THE ORGANIZATIONS LIKE YOUNG LIFE THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB SO WE DON'T HAVE THOSE NUMBERS BUT WE WILL HAVE THEM. AND WHEN DO YOU THINK YOU WOULD HAVE THAT DATA? OH BOY. CRAIG, WHAT DO YOU THINK WITH IT A MONTH OR LIKE THAT. YEAH, YEAH. OKAY SURE THAT'S ON OUR PRIORITY IS TO GET THE NUMBERS OF YOUTH AND OTHER LIKE VETERANS ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY TO TO GET SOME NUMBERS TO GIVE THE COUNTY WHAT WHAT I WOULD DO AND AGAIN IT'S ENTIRELY UP TO YOU BUT I MIGHT CONTACT THE FOLKS THAT ARE DOING THAT AND SOUTHERN COUNTY IT WAS A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN I BELIEVE WITH THE REC CENTER AND WITH THE TOWN SO . WHILE I WOULD HOPE THAT YOU COULD BE UP AND RUNNING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OBVIOUSLY YOU'VE GOT A LOT OF GROUND TO COVER SO WE WELCOME THAT AND CONTINUE TO KEEP WORKING WITH OUR PARKS AND REC DEPARTMENT. MAYBE WE CAN PUT SOMETHING TOGETHER OVERALL TO SUPPORT EFFORT BUT I THINK THE FACILITY AND THE ALLOCATION SPACE THAT'S THAT'S THAT'S NOT A INSIGNIA AGAIN HURDLE TO GET OVER SO THINK AND I HAVE HAD MANY CONVERSATIONS WITH THE START UP PEOPLE OF THE YOUTH PROGRAM AND THE ADULT HERE WHICH HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL INCLUDING THE TOWN OF HILTON HEAD GAVE US THE DOCK DESIGN THERE YOU GO THERE DOC IS EXCELLENT RIGHT. THEY HAD A THEY HAD A PRETTY VIBRANT PROGRAM AND IT WAS OUT OF A DIFFERENT LOCATION AND THEN THERE WAS A FACILITY CHANGE.

SO THE FACILITY I THINK THAT I MEAN CONCEPTUALLY IF YOU CAN FIND A PLACE TO GET TO GET THE PROGRAM GOING AND OPERATING IMPROVE SOME SUCCESS, I BELIEVE THAT PROGRAM WAS OPERATING HILTON HEAD FOR 5 TO 10 YEARS PRIOR TO THEM MAKING THAT INVESTMENT SO TO SPEAK.

OKAY. WELL THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE.

THANK YOU. ALL RIGHT DO WE HAVE ANYONE ELSE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT? OKAY. THANK ALL OF YOU FOR COMING NEXT AGENDA ITEM WE HAVE A

[6. Review and Approval of November Minutes – November 2, 2023 (backup)]

REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE NOVEMBER MINUTES HAS THE NOVEMBER MINUTES TO APPROVE AS SUBMITTED ON FAVOR BY BOTH ALL RIGHT WE'LL APPROVE THE MINUTES.

VERY GOOD CARLOS. AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED EX-OFFICIO MEANS VOTING SO FEEL

[7. Presentation: Public Tennis]

FREE. ALL RIGHT. NEXT PRESENTATION PUBLIC TENNIS WAYNE AND I THINK WE'VE GIVEN YOU A TEN MINUTE SLOT FOR THIS. OKAY.

ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU FOR YOU KNOW, HEARING ME AND FOR PUTTING SOME TIME INTO THIS I SENT YOU SOME EXHIBITS AHEAD OF TIME. I HOPE YOU GOT THEM THE CERTAINLY IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THOSE LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THEM IN THE FUTURE CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS AT PUBLIC TENNIS. WE THINK OFTEN ABOUT THE PUBLIC TENNIS CENTER PLANNED FOR THE PARTIAL AT THE CORNER BUCKWALTER AND MAY RIVER ROAD WE WERE INSTRUMENTAL TO THE BUILDING OF THE PUBLIC COURTS OF CHAPLIN PARK 20 YEARS AGO AND MORE RECENTLY WE WERE INVOLVED IN PROPOSING THE TENNIS CENTER TO COUNTY COUNCIL BEFORE THE PANDEMIC SO THAT WAS IN 2020. THIS LED TO THE TENNIS PARK WHICH I THINK IS ESSENTIALLY APPROVED FOR THAT PARCEL BUT TO HAVE STALLED SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY. SO I'M HOPING WE CAN REGAIN THE MOMENTUM THAT WE HAD BACK IN 2020 SOMEHOW AND I JUST WANT SOME IDEAS ON KIND OF HOW TO DO THAT AND SEE IF WE CAN KIND OF HELP HELP IT ALONG. I THINK IF WE LOOK AT THE DATA WE CAN PROBABLY CONVINCE

[00:30:07]

OURSELVES THAT TENNIS IS GROWING AT AN UNPRECEDENTED PACE DESPITE BEING A MATURE SPORT. IT'S INCREDIBLE ACTUALLY THE LAST 55 OR SO YEARS OF GROWTH IN TENNIS HAS BEEN ENORMOUS AND THE STATISTICS WILL ALSO TELL US THAT TENNIS AT PUBLIC PARKS IS RESPONSIBLE FOR A DISPROPORTIONATE SHARE OF THE GROWTH AND THAT'S WHERE THE WHERE THE OPPORTUNITY IS FRANKLY IN IN HERE IN BLUFFTON SO I THINK IF WE LOOK AT THE SCIENCE ALSO, WE CAN PROBABLY ALSO CONVINCE OURSELVES OF THE BENEFITS OF TENNIS WHICH ARE WELL-STUDIED AND WELL PROVEN IN TERMS OF MENTAL AND PHYSICAL BENEFITS, COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL BENEFITS. SO I THINK I THINK THERE'S PLENTY OF DATA FOR THAT AND HAPPY TO SHARE MORE WITH YOU. THERE'S THERE'S CERTAINLY AND I THINK WE CAN ALSO SEE PRETTY CLEARLY BY LOOKING AROUND US THAT TENNIS IS AN ALL AGES SPORT.

SO THAT'S ONE OF THE NICE THINGS ABOUT TENNIS IS THAT YOU KNOW, WE'VE GOT PEOPLE PLAYING TENNIS AT AGE FIVE AND AT AGE 90 I MEAN WE'VE GOT 3000 REGISTERED USGA TENNIS PLAYERS HERE AND THEN ANOTHER I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY BUT A HUGE NUMBER WHO PLAY RECREATIONALLY AT AGES . BUT THE KEY QUESTION IS CAN WE CONVINCE OURSELVES THAT WE COULD BUILD AND RUN A SUCCESSFUL PUBLIC TENNIS CENTER THAT'S A SIGNIFICANT SIZE AND THE ONE PROPOSED FOR BUCKWALTER WAS IT WAS 16 OR 18 COURTS AND I THINK THE BEST WAY TO FIGURE IT OUT AND I'D LIKE TO SUGGEST IS THAT WE GO VISIT SOME SUCCESSFUL PUBLIC TENNIS CENTERS AND LEARN HOW TO DO IT . FORTUNATELY THERE ARE LOTS OF TENNIS CENTERS THAT ARE TO SHARE THEIR BUSINESS PLANS AND SHOW US HOW THEY HAVE SUCCEEDED. WE CAN VISIT THEM, SEE THEIR FACILITIES HAVE VISITED MANY OF THEM AND SEE THEIR PROGRAMS IN ACTION. AND THEN WE CAN BUILD A BUSINESS MODEL AND A PLAN FOR THE CENTER HERE POSSIBLY A HYBRID PLAN WHICH COMBINES THE BEST FEATURES OF THE TENNIS CENTERS OUT THERE THAT ARE SUCCESSFUL.

I MENTIONED IN MY BRIEF THAT THAT YOU GOT THAT GAUGING FOR A SPORT LIKE TENNIS IS TRICKY IS TRICKY AND TOWN LIKE BLUFFTON ESPECIALLY IS TRICKY BECAUSE THERE'S ONE COURT HERE.

SO IF YOU ASK PEOPLE ABOUT TENNIS WHAT ARE THEY'RE GOING TO SAY THERE'S VERY FEW PEOPLE PLAYING TENNIS BECAUSE THERE'S VERY FEW PUBLIC. THAT'S NOT TO SAY BEHIND THE GATES OF THE COMMUNITY SAID THAT THE CLUBS THERE'S NOT TENNIS THERE CERTAINLY IS BUT NOT IN THE PUBLIC AT PUBLIC CENTERS IS REALLY ONE COURT SO I GUESS THE QUESTION IS IF WE ASK THESE OTHER CENTERS ABOUT THEIR DEMAND FOR TENNIS BEFORE AND AFTER WOULD THEY SAY I THINK BEFORE THEY'D SAY ZERO THEY WERE IN MANY CASES COMMUNITIES THAT HAD ALSO VERY LITTLE IN THE WAY OF PUBLIC COURTS AND THEN AFTERWARDS THRIVING MORE DEMAND THAN THEY CAN HANDLE. SO IN OTHER WORDS, IF YOU BUILD A A QUALITY TENNIS CENTER THEY WILL COME. SO IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME.

AND FINALLY I SHOULD MENTION THAT THE USGA HAS TREMENDOUS RESOURCES TO HELP WITH THIS TYPE OF THING. THEY HELP WITH THE DESIGN THE CONSTRUCTION AND EVEN THE FUNDING OF TENNIS CENTERS LIKE THE ONE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HERE.

AND IN FACT WE REGISTERED IT BACK IN IN YEARS AGO AS A PROJECT AS A PROJECT WITH USTA SO THEY WERE READY AND WAITING FOR US AND WE HAVE HELPED BEFORE BRING US TWO YEAR RESOURCES TO HILTON, TO BLUFFTON HERE TO BEAUFORT I AND FOUR FOR BOTH DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION FUNDING ASSISTANCE YOU KNOW FOR FOUR PUBLIC CENTERS.

SO WHAT'S NEXT? SO I GUESS THE QUESTION IS WHAT ARE WHAT ARE THE RIGHT NEXT STEPS AND I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS I'M KIND OF HERE TO ASK YOU BUT IT IF INTEREST TO YOU TO PURSUE THE TENNIS CENTER SERIOUSLY WE ARE HERE TO REENGAGE USDA RESOURCES TO COORDINATE VISITS TO SUCCESSFUL CENTERS IN OUR REGION FOR LEARNING PURPOSES AND HELP YOU BUILD A BUSINESS MODEL AND A BUSINESS PLAN FOR THE CENTER. WELL, MY MY INITIAL THOUGHTS ARE IS THAT IT'S IN THE MASTER PLAN AND IN THE PROPERTY IS THERE AND I BELIEVE IN HANK YOU CAN CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG. YOU KNOW, THE COUNTY GOES OUT THREE YEARS WITH CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT AND I BELIEVE THAT THIS PROJECT IS IS IN THAT IS IT NOT? IT'S PART OF THE GREATER GRACE PROJECT CURRENT IMPROVEMENTS THAT ARE SCHEDULED IN THE NEXT YEAR PLUS ARE A RECTANGULAR TURF FIELDS THAT WILL BE IN THAT DIRECTION I BELIEVE I'VE GOT MY ORIENTATION RIGHT IN HERE AND THEN ADDITIONALLY THE TENNIS CENTER IS IN THE PLAN

[00:35:03]

BUT IN THE IN THE SUBSEQUENT FUNDING PHASE. OKAY.

OKAY. WHICH MEANS HOW YEARS OUT DO YOU THINK? WELL, IT DEPENDS ON HOW GOOD OF A YEAR THE COUNTY HAS HOW MUCH MONEY.

OKAY OKAY WELL FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT I'LL ONLY MAKE THIS COMMENT.

YOU KNOW I BACK IN 2010 IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN PRETTY QUICK.

THERE WAS A LOT OF MOMENTUM BEHIND IT AND THE FOLKS AT THE COUNTY COUNCIL BASICALLY, YOU KNOW, WORK WITH PARKS AND REC DEPARTMENT AND YOU KNOW WE REALLY WANT TO GET THIS DONE AND WE HAVE FUNDING WAS WHAT THEY SAID AT THE TIME HAVE FUNDING FOR THIS AND SUBSEQUENTLY TALKING WITH THE DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND REC THE COMMENT WAS MADE WELL KNOW WE LITERALLY KNOW HOW TO RUN A TENNIS PARK. WE KNOW HOW TO BUILD AND RUN A TENNIS PARK NOT REALLY WHAT WE DO. AND SO MY CONCERN IS WAS THE MOMENTUM LOST BECAUSE WE DIDN'T REALLY KNOW HOW TO DO IT BECAUSE THERE'S PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO DO I MEAN NOBODY WOULD BE EXPECTED TO KNOW HOW TO DO IT.

YOU WOULD, YOU KNOW, PATTERN IT AFTER THOSE THAT THOSE THAT KNOW HOW TO DO IT AND IF THAT'S THE CASE, MAYBE WHILE WE'RE WAITING FOR, YOU KNOW, OUR PLACE IN THE CURE FUNDING WE COULD FACILITATE THAT. YOU KNOW, WE COULD GET OUT AND REALLY KIND OF BUILD PROPER BUSINESS MODEL FOR THIS FOR THE CENTER AND BE READY TO GO, YOU KNOW WHEN WHEN THE TIME COMES IF THAT MAKES SENSE. YEAH I MEAN I, I, I THINK THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT IT'S IN THE PLAN THE THE THE FACILITY THAT WAS IN THE PLAN IS A SIGNIFICANT FACILITY.

YEAH WE OWN THE PROPERTY SO AND AGAIN CIP PROJECTS GET FUNDED FROM DIFFERENT SOURCES SOME OF WHICH ARE IMPACT FEES, SOME OF WHICH ARE OUT OF THE GENERAL FUND, SOME OF THEM ARE PART GRANTS. THERE'S LOTS OF DIFFERENT FUNDING SOURCES.

SO WHAT I WOULD SAY TO YOU IS I IT'S STILL YOU DON'T NEED TO PUT YOUR BINOCULARS ON TO HOW FAR AWAY IT IS. I MEAN I CAN'T WE NO ONE CAN SAY EXACTLY WHEN BUT YOU KNOW, THE COUNTY IS PROJECTING THESE THINGS OUT AND THIS IS STILL PART OF IT IS THERE SOME SORT OF SOMETHING THAT CAN PUSH THE COUNTY TO FASTER? WELL, I MEAN MAYBE IF YOU GO GET A HALF A MILLION DOLLAR GRANT TO COME IN AND ALLOCATED TOWARD IT OR SPECIFICALLY OR SOMETHING FROM THE USDA, I DON'T KNOW. I WOULDN'T TAKE WHAT THE FORMER DIRECTOR SAID AS KNOW AS GOSPEL BECAUSE YOU KNOW, OBVIOUSLY LIKE THIS WE'RE GOING TO BRING IN THE PERSON, RUN A FACILITY OR ALIGN WITH THOSE. WE'RE NOT GOING TO BUILD SOMETHING TO FAIL. SO I THINK WE'RE PRETTY MUCH COVERED .

OKAY. I'M A VERY SMALL TOPIC THAT I ALSO SPENT WITH THOSE NOTES.

I'M BRINGING A MESSAGE FROM AN EAGLE SCOUT. HIS NAME IS HIS NAME IS GARRETT GARRETT ROW. HE IS THE NUMBER ONE PLAYER AT BLUFFTON HIGH SCHOOL AND CAME OUT OF THE PUBLIC PARKS. WE WE TAUGHT HIM AS PART OF , YOU KNOW, YOUR PROGRAMS TO GET HIM STARTED IS WHICH IS REALLY A GREAT STORY HE IS PROPOSING SOMETHING CALLED THE TENNIS PANTRY TO BE BUILT AT A COUPLE OF PARKS LIKE THE PARK IN BEAUFORT, THE RENOVATED PARK IN BEAUFORT AND MAYBE EVEN ALMA ROAD AND IT WOULD HOUSE TENNIS RACKETS, USE TENNIS RACKETS AND . IT'S BEEN VERY SUCCESSFULLY DONE IN OTHER COMMUNITIES.

THEY WOULD DO IT AS AN EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT. HE'S AN EAGLE AND HE'S WONDERING IF THAT'S SOMETHING THAT YOU WOULD CONSIDER FOR THOSE PARKS.

I THINK YOU NEED TO SEND HIM TO MEET WITH PARKS AND REC AND PUT THAT PROPOSAL FORWARD AND YOU KNOW, I THINK THAT WOULD BE FINE AND GET A RESPONSE THERE THAT'S KIND OF OUT OF OUR PURVIEW. SO TO SPEAK. THAT'S WHAT I NEED TO KNOW.

ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

YEAH POINT OF ORDER, MR. CHAIRMAN. YES.

LET'S GO BACK TO THE INTO THE MINUTES. I JUST WANT TO PUT THIS ON THE RECORD AND MAKE IT OFFICIAL I HAVE NO PROBLEM ALSO WITH THE EX-OFFICIAL BEING A VOTING MEMBER. YES, BUT I THINK WE SHOULD PUT IT IN THE ON THE RECORD MAKE IT OFFICIAL SO. WELL I THINK THERE'S A QUESTION AS TO WHAT TERM EX OFFICIO MEANS AND IN MY UNDERSTANDING OF THE TERM AND THERE'S NOTHING THAT SAYS OTHERWISE THAT MEAN ANYTHING OTHERWISE MEANS THAT THAT MEMBER STRICTLY COMES FROM THAT PARTICULAR SOURCE RIGHT.

SO WE HAVE TWO MEMBERS ON THIS BOARD THAT ARE FROM SPECIFIC PLACES WHICH MAKE THEM EX-OFFICIO ONE OF WHICH IS THE MILITARY, THE SECOND OF WHICH IS THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

SO YOU KNOW, I'M GOOD I MEAN IF YOU WANT TO PUT THAT IN THE MINUTES FINE.

THE MINUTES PASS SAID WE WOULD BE CHECKING INTO THAT BUT AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED YEAH CARLOS IS A VOTING MEMBER OF THIS OF THIS BOARD AS WOULD BE MR. BROWN WHO WHO WE HAVE

[00:40:02]

FOUND OUT IS NO LONGER WITH THE MILITARY AND SO WE NEED TO REACH OUT TO THE BEFORE COUNTY COUNCILMAN WHO KIND OF HANDLES THAT AND NEED TO GET A CONTACT THERE TO GET A REPLACEMENT FOR HIM ON THIS BOARD IF THEY WANT TO HAVE SOMEONE ON THIS BOARD AND IF NOT THEN WE WOULD HAVE TO LOOK AT ADJUSTING THE BOARD TO NOT INCLUDE SOMEONE FROM THE MILITARY.

NOW FROM MY PERSPECTIVE I BELIEVE THE MILITARY IS VERY IMPORTANT I BELIEVE THERE ARE A LOT OF MILITARY FAMILIES WHO UTILIZE PARKS AND REC SERVICES SO THAT RELATIONSHIP MAKES A LOT OF SENSE JUST AS BELIEVE THE RELATIONSHIP WITH COUNTY SCHOOLS MAKES A LOT OF SENSE.

[8. Department Report]

OKAY. ALL RIGHT. MOVING ON TO DEPARTMENT REPORTS REPORTS I'M GOING TO I'M GOING TO DO LIKE LAST BUT AFTER THE FRONT LINE PEOPLE AND SINCE BEING HERE THE LAST TIME I CAN MORE EMPHATICALLY CONVEY HOW GOOD THE TEAM IS AND IT'S BEEN REALLY ENJOYABLE TO WORK WITH GROUP GROW THE GROUP WE'VE GOT SOME NEW PEOPLE WE'VE BEEN SHIFTING AROUND A LITTLE BIT STRUCTURALLY AND LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT STEPS SO I WILL TURN IT OVER FIRST WHO WANTS TO GO FIRST? SO LOOKS.

COME ON UP. EVAN AND EVAN AND. ALEX SO WE'LL JUST KIND OF RUN OUR NUMBERS FROM THE PAST COUPLE OF SEASONS REAL QUICK SO .

WINTER SPORTS THIS IS THE ONE WE ACTUALLY STILL CURRENTLY HAVE GOING ON.

WE I THINK A WEEK LEFT I THINK WE END ON THURSDAY NEXT WEEK AND THEN WE'VE GOT ALL STARS GEARING UP. EVAN AND I JUST WENT TO A MEETING IN NORTH CHARLESTON AND WE'VE GOT ANOTHER ONE TO GO TO FOR CREDENTIALS ON THE 21ST. BUT BASICALLY NUMBERS FOR THIS SEASON IS UP BY 45 FROM 234 TO 79 WHICH IS JUST ALWAYS GOOD TO SEE GROWTH THERE.

WINTERS IS OUR MAIN SEASON WAS WHAT? OH THAT WAS BLUFFTON OKAY BEFORE OKAY WELL IN BLUFFTON WHEN FRIDAY OVER HERE IN BLUFFTON WE HAD 946 THIS YEAR AND WE HAD 119 TEAMS FROM 4 TO 16 4 TO 16 YEAR OLDS JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK IS SUCH A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THE PARTICIPATION NUMBERS NORTH OF BROAD VERSUS SOUTH OF THE BORDER, A POPULATION I THINK IS PROBABLY PROPORTIONATE. THE POPULATION PROBABLY.

WHAT ABOUT AGE GROUPS TOO? ARE YOU SEEING I MEAN OBVIOUSLY AS THEY GET OLDER I GUESS IT'S IT THINS OUT. ARE YOUR AGE GROUPS BEING CONSISTENT YEAR OVER IN TERMS OF YOU KNOW, THE PERCENTAGES THAT YOU HAVE THAT ARE PLAYING AT 5 TO 6 YEARS OLD THAT ARE PLAYING TO 8 TO 10? I MEAN OR IS IT GROWING AND DISPARATE ANYWHERE OR DON'T YOU KNOW IF YOU DON'T KNOW THAT'S BLUFFTON VERY WELL. YEAH AND JUST IN GENERAL YEAH I KNOW IN BLUFFTON LIKE OUR OUR FOUR AND SIX YEAR OLDS ARE HUGE THE SEVEN AND EIGHTS HOW MANY TEAMS YOU HAVE DARYL UH, IT IT KIND OF GETS SMALLER THE OLDER THEY GET LIKE OUR 1316 ONLY HAS SEVEN TEAMS. THE THREE IS SEVEN THIS YEAR. SO HOW MANY GIRLS WERE PARTS OF THOSE NUMBERS? I MEAN PRETTY SIGNIFICANT NUMBERS.

YEAH. YEAH, ABSOLUTELY. THAT'S GREAT.

YEAH. YOU KNOW THEY MATURE AND THEN YOU GET INTO THAT 12 AND 13 YOU GET INTO MIDDLE SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL RIGHT. BUT I WOULD SAY PROBABLY MOST OF THE GROWTH WE SEE IS 77878 AND ARE YOU GETTING ENOUGH COACHES TAKE SOME PHONE THAT I DON'T SEE ALL THIS PAST SPRING OR YEAH FROM PAST SPRING TO THIS SPRING WE STILL HAVE REGISTRATION GOING ON IT'S STILL OPEN RIGHT NOW FOR SOME OF THEM BASEBALL WE WENT OUT BY 23 FROM 290 TO 313 DIXIE BOYS THAT ONE'S OPEN UNTIL APRIL 5TH JUST BECAUSE THAT SEASON RUNS A LITTLE BIT LATER. SO WE KEEP THAT REGISTRATION OPEN A LITTLE BIT LONGER SO THAT PARENTS AND STUFF WHENEVER THEIR SCHOOL BALL SEASON STARTS ENDING BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THE DIXIE BOYS IS 13 OR 15 YEAR OLDS SO ONCE THEIR SCHOOL SEASON STARTS WRAPPING UP THEY

[00:45:06]

KIND OF START SHIFTING GEARS AND THAT'S WHEN WE SEE THAT NUMBER GO UP A LITTLE BIT FLAG FOOTBALL WE'RE UP BY SEVEN FROM 96 TO 103 SOCCER WE'RE DOWN RIGHT NOW BUT I EXPECT THAT NUMBER TO GO UP. IT USUALLY DOES GO BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKE TO WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE AND THEN SOFTBALL IS PROBABLY OUR BIGGEST GOING TO BE OUR BIGGEST GROWTH THIS SEASON THANKS IN PART TO COACH HAYES OVER HERE FOR YOU KNOW DOING SOME OUTREACH STUFF AND JUST REALLY TRYING TO GET THAT PROGRAM GROWING AND AND OFF THE GROUND.

SO THAT'S ALL THAT'S ALL GIRLS CORRECT SOFTBALL YEAH, THAT'S CORRECT.

YEAH. AND THAT'S A BIG FROM WHAT WE'VE SEEN IN THE PAST SO QUESTION ABOUT SOFTBALL WHAT DO YOU KNOW THE A'S BREAK DOWN SO FAR OFF THE TOP MY HEAD.

BUT I KNOW WE'RE LOOKING AT FOUR DARLINGS WHICH IS SEVEN, EIGHT, EIGHT YEAR OLDS, PROBABLY ONE TEAM. SO YOU KNOW, ANYWHERE BETWEEN AND AND THEN FOR ANGELS WHICH IS 9 TO 10 YEAR OLDS PROBABLY GOING TO HAVE TWO TEAMS AND THEN FOUR PONYTAILS WHICH IS 11 TO 12 WE'RE PROBABLY GOING HAVE TWO TEAMS FOR THAT AS WELL. DO THEY PUT ON THEIR GOWN USUALLY MIXED WITH THAT. YEAH GOOD. HOWEVER IF IT PICKS UP THAT YOU GET TWO MORE TEAMS IN EACH THEN YOU'RE LOOKING AT PLANO I WILL WE AS A YES.

SO WE'LL TRY AND HAVE AT LEAST THREE TEAMS PER AGE GROUP TO RUN OUR OWN SEASON OBVIOUSLY FOUR IS BETTER THAT WAY YOU'RE NOT PLAYING THE SAME TWO TEAMS YOU KNOW LIKE ESSENTIALLY THE MORE TEAMS WE HAVE THE LESS THEY HAVE TO TRAVEL BACK AND FORTH WHICH IS THERE EVER BEEN ANY AS THERE HAVE BEEN ANY THOUGHT TO MAYBE I KNOW ON ALL-STARS OR WHATEVER WE COMPETE WITH HAMPTON OR WE COMPETE WITH DOES HILTON HAD TO HAVE THEIR OWN SOFTBALL YEAH I THINK THEY DO THEY DON'T THEY I KNOW THEY DO BASEBALL THEY HAVE THEIR OWN BASE SO I MEAN HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED REACHING OUT TO HARRISVILLE OR REACHING OUT TO LIKE RIDGELAND IF THEY HAVE SOFTBALL TO THEY DO YEAH SO I MEAN MAYBE YOU CONNECT YOU KNOW IF GIRLS SOFTBALL IS IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S GROWING MORE THAN IT HAS BUT IF YOU NEED A COUPLE MORE TEAMS TO PLAY AGAINST MAYBE YOU MIGHT GIVE SOME THOUGHT TO DOING THAT. BUT YEAH BECAUSE THE PROXIMITY IS RELATIVELY CLOSE RIGHT AND SO MAYBE YOU CAN ROUND OUT THE SCHEDULE THAT WAY MIGHT BE MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL FOR EVERYBODY. BLUFFTON BASEBALL HAS FOR 76 THAT REGISTRATIONS CLOSED DIXIE BOYS THEY HAVE 23 BUT LIKE I SAID WE HAVE TILL APRIL SO THAT NUMBER'S LOW NOW WITHOUT A RISE FLAG FOOTBALL WE HAVE 325 THAT REGISTRATION ENDS THE 16TH SOCCER WE HAVE 915 AGAIN ON THE 16TH LACROSSE I THINK THAT'S THE HIGHEST NUMBER WE'VE HAD.

GOT 88 THIS YEAR AND SOFTBALL WE HAVE 232 IN THAT DIXIE BOYS IS WHAT WE GET OUT AT THE WORLD SERIES IS HERE WE'RE BEAUFORT THAT'S WHY YOU KNOW GET WITH THESE THESE MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAMS THESE SCHOOLS AND LET THEM KNOW I KNOW HILTON HEAD THEY SAID THERE THEY MIGHT I THERE'S A LOT OF INTEREST ON HILTON HEAD AND THEIR DIXIE SO THAT LEAGUE WILL PROBABLY HAVE EIGHT OR NINE TEAMS IN IT SO SO THIS CURRENT SEASON AS WELL WE DECIDED TRY OUT A KICKBALL LEAGUE IN BEAUFORT FOR THE FIRST SEASON AND WE HAD 89 PEOPLE REGISTER WHICH WE WERE ABLE TO SPLIT INTO SEVEN TEAMS AND ATTENDANCE HAS BEEN PRETTY GOOD.

THERE'S BEEN ONE TEAM THAT'S BEEN A LITTLE UP AND DOWN BUT OTHER THAN THAT I THINK IT'S BEEN REALLY SMOOTH. PEOPLE HAVE ENJOYED THE SEASON AND WE'RE LOOKING DO IT AGAIN I BELIEVE OVER THE SUMMER WHERE THEY PLAY IT. BURTON WELLS THE NEW COMPLEX RIGHT. BLUFFTON IS ALSO DOING WINTER KICKBALL RIGHT NOW.

THEY JUST FINISHED UP LAST NIGHT. THEY GOT THEIR PLAY OFFS THAT START MONDAY THEY HAD 168 PLAYERS AND 12 TEAMS. RIGHT NOW OUR REGISTRATIONS GOING ON FOR ADULT VOLLEYBALL WE'VE GOT 60 SIGNED UP BUT WE HAVE TILL THE NINTH FOR REGISTRATION ON THAT THEN SENIOR SOFTBALL'S OPENED UP CURRENTLY WE ONLY HAVE TWO GUYS

[00:50:05]

THAT ARE SIGNED UP BUT THAT REGISTRATION THROUGH THE END OF THE MONTH SO KIND OF JUST OPEN THERE DO YOU DO YOU SEND INFORMATION TO THE FOLKS THAT PARTICIPATED LAST YEAR? WE DO. YEAH. WELL EMAIL EVERYBODY THAT'S PLAYED THE LAST COUPLE OF SEASONS OR SO YEAH THAT EXPECTATION IS YOU'LL BE BACK THERE. OH YEAH. OKAY.

YEAH I IF WE HAD SOME KIND OF SPLIT OFF IN OUR SENIOR SOFTBALL AND THEY KIND OF WENT TO HILTON HEAD AND STARTED THEIR OWN BUT I KNOW SHANE SAYS AT LEAST FOUR TEAMS ARE COMING BACK THIS SO WE ONLY HAD FIVE IN THE SPRING SO EARLY IN THE FALL SO YEAH YEAH.

ANY QUESTIONS THANKS GUYS EXCEPT FOR IN YOUR PROGRAM IS MARISSA FREEMAN MY FIRST TIME SO WELCOME OH MY ALL RIGHT SO I AM THE PROGRAM SUPERVISOR FOR THE EIGHT CENTERS THAT WE CURRENTLY HAVE WE JUST TOOK THE NUMBERS FROM THE LAST MEETING IN NOVEMBER UP UNTIL CURRENT BLUFFTON WAS AT 23 NOW 25 OUR BOOKER T WASHINGTON CENTER WAS AT 25.

NOW AT 29 BURTON WELLS IS AT 44 FROM 41 DAY OLD WHICH WAS ONE OF THE ONES THAT WE JUST OPENED BACK IN LIKE SEPTEMBER ISH. THAT ONE HAS HAD A LOT OF GROWTH FROM 16 TO 25.

LYNN BROWN WE'RE STILL BUILDING THE EARLY PART OF MARCH. WE WILL HAVE A GRAND OPENING AND PEOPLE FROM THE NORTHWEST QUADRANT GOING TO BE THERE. WE'LL HAVE STAFF ONSITE TO REGISTER. PORT ROYAL WAS FROM 40 TO 41. THERE'S A WAITLIST CURRENTLY AT THAT LOCATION THAT STARTED THAT HAS NINE PEOPLE AND IT STARTED DECEMBER OF LAST YEAR SCOTT IS AT 27 OR AT 32 FROM 27 AND ST HELENA IS ALSO ON A WAITLIST FROM 39 TO 41 WITH THREE PEOPLE ON THEIR WAITLIST CURRENTLY. SO WE'RE GROWING RIGHT ACTUALLY DAN LEFT WHO MADE HIS DAN BROWN PRESENTATION. YEAH SO WE THAT NEIGHBORHOOD GROUP DOES INTERACT WITH COUNTY REGULARLY TO MAKE KNOWN ETC. BUT NOW WE'VE RE-ENLISTED THEM ON THE OTHER SIDE TO SAY IF WE'RE GOING TO MAKE A BIG PUSH TO MAKE THIS AN ACTIVE SENIOR CENTER BECAUSE IT'S IN A IT'S IN ONE OF THE MORE PURPLE POPULATED AREAS THAT ANY SENIOR CENTER IS IN.

SO WE'RE GOING TO HAVE STAFF ON SHE'LL HAVE STAFF SITE DURING THIS OPEN HOUSE THAT WE'RE GOING TO HAVE ON A SATURDAY TO SIGN PEOPLE UP AS. THEY'RE THERE.

SO WHAT WOULD BE THE CAPACITY OF LYNN BROWN FOR THE SENIOR PROGRAM FOR SIMILAR RANGE 4045 YEAH. WHAT ARE THESE NUMBERS? THERE'S NOT LIKE 45 PEOPLE THAT ARE COMING EVERY DAY BUT FOR WE HAVE TO CAP IT FOR TRANSPORTATION LIKE WHEN WE GO ON FIELD TRIPS THEY'RE ALWAYS GOING SOMEWHERE SO. WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT WE HAVE THE PROPER TRANSPORTATION FOR FUN STUFF I CAN TELL YOU VERSUS OTHER COUNTIES HAVING I USED RUN THE FOUR COUNTIES FOR SENIOR SERVICES AND COUNTY DOES MORE TRIPS AND MORE ACTIVITIES THAN ANY OTHER COUNTY IN OUR REGION AND WHERE'S OUR HOW DOES WHERE'S OUR FUNDING COME FROM THAT? WELL SOME OF IT COMES STRAIGHT FROM THE FROM THE COUNTY SOME OF IT IS FEDERAL THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT THAT COMES THROUGH LOWCOUNTRY COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS IN THE FORM OF SUBSIDIZING MEAL PURCHASES MILEAGE FOR TRANSPORTATION ETC.

AND WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF HAVING TO RESUBMIT HOW WE BREAK THOSE DOWN BACK TO LOWCOUNTRY IT WASN'T THE THE GENTLEMAN WHO WAS UP HERE EARLIER I THINK YEAH THE FELLOW FOR LYNN BROWN NORTHWEST QUADRANT OR HE WAS TALKING ABOUT THE KITCHEN WASN'T THAT PART OF THE FUNDING THAT WE DID AND ALL OF THESE THAT WAS A BYPRODUCT THAT GOOD GREAT GREAT JOB. THANK YOU. YES.

OH WE'RE ACTUALLY BUYING WE'RE IN THE PROCESS FOR TRANSPORTATION OF BUYING A NEW LARGE BUS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION THAT SHOULD GO TO COUNTY COUNCIL THIS MONTH.

ADDITIONALLY WE'RE GOING TO A FLEET LEASING PROGRAM. SO SOME OF THE BUSSES NATURALLY ARE BUT THEY CALL THEM BUSSES BUT SOME OF THEM ARE LARGE ARE IN DIFFERENT STATES OF REPAIR AND DIFFERENT AGES WE HAVE PUT IN FOR A NEW GROUP WE'RE GOING TO A LEASING PROGRAM SO WE CAN HAVE NEW RECURRING BETTER VEHICLES FOR THE SENIOR TRANSPORTATION ALL THE TIME.

SO QUICK QUESTION. WE HAVE DRIVERS ALREADY FOR THOSE.

OH, OKAY GOOD. WE'RE ALWAYS INTERESTED IN MORE, RIGHT MARISA? YES. OKAY. YEAH, I'LL GET WITH YOU AFTER THE MEETING. YEAH. UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS WE HAVE WE'RE GETTING READY TO START ALL-STARS FOR BASKETBALL THINK BLUFFTON HAS A TOTAL OF SEVEN

[00:55:10]

TEAMS BEAUFORT HAS FOUR AND COUNTY HAS ONE THAT'S COMBINED BLUFFTON AND BEAUFORT.

BLUFFTON IS GOING TO BE HOSTING THE TEN YOU AND 12 U GIRLS TOURNAMENT DISTRICT TOURNAMENT HERE IN BLUFFTON ON THE 24TH. I THINK THE 12 OR 12 U TOURNAMENT HAS THREE TEAMS AND THEN BLUFFTON AND THEN THE TEN YOU WILL HAVE FIVE TEAMS IN BLUFFTON SO IT SHOULD BE A GOOD WEEK A GOOD WEEKEND FOR OUR GIRLS ALL STARS GET TO STAY HOME THEN OBVIOUSLY THE WORLD SERIES JULY 26, THE 31ST IN THAT'S THAT'S IN BEAUFORT THAT'S DIXIE YES DIXIE BOYS AND JUNIOR BOYS AND JUNIOR BOYS. WE'LL SEE HOW IT WORKS OUT FACILITY WISE.

YEAH, THERE WAS GOING TO BE RHYTHM SO WE GOT TO HAVE A MEETING I GUESS TOMMY FROM DIXIE BOYS HAD EMAIL ME AND THEY'RE NOT COMFORTABLE RUNNING TWO TOURNAMENTS ON THREE FIELDS SO A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT SIDE IN THE BUDGETING PROCESS WE'RE TRYING TO AS WE POTENTIALLY ESCALATE SPEED UP THE IMPROVEMENTS OF THE OLD TWO FIELDS AT BURTON WELLS THEN YOU'D HAVE FIVE. YEAH I WOULD HAVE TO THINK GIVEN THE NUMBERS FOR BASEBALL I MEAN THE LAST NEW BASEBALL FACILITY THAT WAS BUILT AT LEAST IN SOUTHERN COUNTY WAS, OSCAR FRAZIER AND THAT WAS BUILT ALMOST 30 YEARS AGO. WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF HAVING TO REDO ALL THE DRAINAGE AND ALL THAT KIND OF STUFF SO IT'S TIME TO RE REINVEST IN THEM RIGHT? OKAY. WOULD THERE BE A WORLD SERIES FOR GIRLS FOR SOFTBALL THERE BE. WE WON'T BE HOSTING IT.

SO THIS YEAR WE'VE MOVED TO DIXIE FOR SOFTBALL WE'RE NOT GOING TO DO SKYPE SO WE'VE DECIDED TO GO WITH DIXIE WHICH WILL KIND OF BE THE SAME AS DIXIE YOUTH WHERE YOU GOT DISTRICT TOURNAMENT AND THE STATE TOURNAMENT AND THEN DIXIE ALSO OFFERS THE WORLD SERIES WHERE SKYPE JUST KIND OF STOPPED AT THE STATE TOURNAMENT.

QUICK FOLLOW UP THE TOURNAMENTS ARE THEY BEING BLASTED OUT SO THAT THE PUBLIC KNOWS THAT WE'RE DOING THIS THESE GIRLS SOFTBALL? I MEAN THE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS THEY WILL BE YES. WE JUST JUST GOT THE BRACKETS YESTERDAY.

SO I KNOW JEREMY JEREMY'S GOOD ABOUT SENDING ALL THAT INFORMATION OUT.

I KNOW HE'S ALREADY BEEN DOING THE WORLD SERIES AND WHATNOT. SO YEAH, ALL THIS ALL THIS WILL BE SENT OUT AND YOU TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF HAVING TOURNAMENTS.

I KNOW THAT WE'VE WE'VE HAD A NUMBER OF BASEBALL TOURNAMENTS IN THE PAST AND OBVIOUSLY WE HAVE EXCELLENT FACILITY FOR BASKETBALL AS WELL. ARE THERE ARE THERE ANY PARTICULAR BENEFITS OBVIOUSLY PEOPLE HERE FOR A DAY OR TWO FROM A FROM A ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STANDPOINT. BUT WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU SAY YEAH.

SO I THINK ONE OF THE BIGGEST ONES IS OUR TEAMS GET TO STAY HOME YOU KNOW THEY DON'T HAVE TO TRAVEL, THEY DON'T HOTEL ROOMS TO QUALIFY. YOU DON'T HAVE TO QUALIFY.

THERE YOU GO. YOU GET TO STAY HOME. I'M LIKE MARK SAID THEY AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY FOR THE BASEBALL ARE ALL THESE POSITIVE POSITIVE FINANCIALLY FOR US? YEAH WE HAVE TOURNAMENTS. YEAH, YEAH, YEAH. ONE OF THOSE DAYS YOU HAVE TO TRACK DOWN MULTIPLE INPUTS OF FUNDING, RIGHT? A LOT OF TIMES PEOPLE TRY TO OVERSIMPLIFY IT AND SAY I SPENT MORE THAN I GOT BUT THAT'S MORE OF A COLLECTIVE.

HMM. GREAT. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS.

THANK YOU. YOU KNOW ANY WANTS WANTS? YEAH.

[9. Aquatics]

OKAY. SO BATTERY CREEP FOR OUR HOURS FOR BATTERY CREEK IS TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 8 TO 1 2 TO 7 SATURDAYS WE'VE CHANGED IT UP A LITTLE BIT THE FIRST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH WE'RE DOING THE INFLATABLE INFLATABLES FROM TO 430.

THE OTHER SATURDAYS ARE LAP SWIM FROM 8 TO 1. NOW AFTER 1:00 YOU CAN RENT THE INFLATABLES OUT FROM 2 TO 5 AND THAT'S BEEN VERY POPULAR AS WELL.

WE HAVE OUR SCHOOL SWIM LESSONS WHICH IS MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 9 TO 1 P.M. AND THEN WE HAVE OUR PROGRAMS OUR NEW PROGRAM THAT WE JUST ADDED ON IS OUR IS OUR PROGRAM IS THE INFANT SWIM LESSON PROGRAM AND THAT'S TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS FROM 230 TO 630 AND THEN WE HAVE OUR FRIENDS SWIM TEAM AT THAT POOL TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS AT WORK AS WELL FROM 4 TO 6 P.M. THE PATRON IN FOR NOVEMBER WAS 456 DECEMBER WAS 198 AND JANUARY WAS 642.

WAS THE POOL CLOSED OR IS THAT JUST BECAUSE OF CHRISTMAS JUST BECAUSE OF CHRISTMAS OR OUR POOL THE POOLS SIMILAR TO BATTERY CREEK JUST FLIP FLOP. SO POOL IS MONDAY WEDNESDAY

[01:00:01]

AND FROM 8 TO 1 2 TO 7 SATURDAYS ARE THE SAME. THE FIRST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH IS ARE THE INFLATABLES FROM 11 TO 430 AND THEN ALL THE OTHER SATURDAYS ARE FROM 8 TO 1 FOR LAP SWIMMING THEIR SCHOOL LESSONS START BACK UP IN APRIL AND AGAIN IT'S FROM TO 1 P.M..

THE PROGRAMS THAT WE HAVE AT THAT POOL WATER AEROBICS WHICH IS A NEW PROGRAM IT JUST SWITCHED THE INSTRUCTORS IT'S AND WEDNESDAYS FROM 10 TO 1115 THE SAME INSTRUCTOR FOR THAT IS OUR PROGRAM SHE ALSO GOES MONDAY WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAYS AT THE POOL FROM 230 TO 6:30 P.M. THE FINS SWIM TEAM IS MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY FROM 4 TO 6 ON THE PATRON CHECK INS FOR THIS POOL IS NOVEMBER THERE WAS 509 DECEMBER WAS 747 AND JANUARY WAS 548.

CHRISTMAS DIDN'T TO MATTER THERE. WHAT DO THEY DO? I KNOW THEY LIKE THE POOL AND BLUFFTON FOR MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8 TO 1 2 TO 7 SATURDAYS THE EXACT SAME WAY AND THEN OUR SCHOOL SWIM LESSONS THEY ARE GOING ON RIGHT NOW I'M SORRY THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THEY'RE STILL GOING ON RIGHT NOW AND THEN THEY'RE ENDING IN APRIL.

THE PROGRAMS THAT THEY HAVE AT THAT POOL FOR WATER AEROBICS IS MONDAY, WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAYS 830 TO 9:30 A.M.. THE FIN SWIM TEAM MONDAY TO FRIDAY 3 TO 7 P.M. AND THE AUTISTIC FOUNDATION PROGRAM IS TUESDAYS I MEAN SORRY WEDNESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 530 TO 7 P.M. THE CHECK INS ARE FOR NOVEMBER 1000 722ND DECEMBER 1273 AND JANUARY 1950.

TELL ME ABOUT YOU KNOW THE FINS EVERYTHING IS GOING WELL WITH THEM.

OKAY. AND SO WHEN THEY'RE THERE I NOTICED THAT A COUPLE OF THE OTHER THEY ENDED AT SIX AND THEN THE POOL BECAUSE THAT'S SEVEN HERE IT'S 3 TO 7.

HOW MANY LANES ARE OPEN FOR THE REGULAR PUBLIC DURING THAT TIME? WE ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST ONE LANE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AT ALL TIMES.

FOR BLUFFTON POOL IT IS A BIGGER GROUP AT THAT POOL SO THEY USE 3 TO 4 LANES DEPENDING ON WHAT OTHER PROGRAMS ARE GOING. SO THE ARTISTIC GROUP IF THEY'RE THERE DURING THAT TIME FRAME THEN THE FENCE USES LESS LANES FOR BUFFER.

BATTERY CREEK FENCE ALWAYS USES JUST TWO LANES AND THAT'S IT. SO DO YOU DO YOU FIND WE HAVE ENOUGH ACCESSIBILITY FOR NON TEAM FOLKS AT THE BLUFFTON POOL AT ALL TIMES? UM ARE PEOPLE COMPLAINING? WELL I KNOW THE FINS WOULD LIKE TO HAVE BIGGER POOL BUT I'M I'M JUST CURIOUS AS TO YOU KNOW, MAKING SURE THAT NON SWIM TEAM PATRONS ARE BEING ABLE COME HOME FROM WORK IF THEY WANT A LAP SWIM OR WHATEVER THEY WANT TO DO AND AS WE KNOW I MEAN THEY HAVE A HUGE PROGRAM AND WE'RE PAYING FOR THE POOL BASICALLY.

I KNOW THEY'RE PAYING RENT. I MEAN I BUT THAT WASN'T THE PURPOSE OF THE POOL.

SO JUST CORRECT. SO THERE LIKE I SAID THERE IS ALWAYS AT LEAST ONE LANE OPEN ONCE FRIENDS GET THERE GETS TO THAT POOL RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL GETS OUT AND EVERYTHING LIKE THAT THE KNOWS IF I'M GOING TO THE POOL THEY'RE SHARING THAT ONE LANE BUT IT'S ONLY BECAUSE IF YOU GO TO THAT POOL IT IS SO BUSY RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL GETS OUT AND YOU HAVEN'T HAD ANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THAT? NO. OKAY.

THE BOARD SHOULD KNOW THAT I BELIEVE THE COUNTY HAS PUT $3 MILLION I THINK INTO THE POOLS.

I THINK THERE IS A BIG PROJECT SECOND PHASE SO FIRST THERE WERE FIRST PHASES WITH SURFACING WITH JUST SOME NOT MINOR BUT STRUCTURAL ISSUES TO THE POOLS AND THE SECOND PHASE IS GETTING READY TO BEGIN AT THE BLUFFTON POOL TO ACTUALLY FULLY ENCLOSE IT AND PUT NEW CLIMATE CONTROL BECAUSE THE WAY THAT IT WAS BUILT DIDN'T REALLY WORK WITH THE WAY IT WAS HEATED AND COOLED AND CREATES ALMOST AN INTERNAL RAINFOREST EFFECT. AND SO THAT PROJECT HAS BEEN AND LET AND WILL BEGIN WITH THIS SPRING PROBABLY SO WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO WORK ON HOW THAT ALL WORKS AND AFFECTS THE FLOW OF THESE POOLS AND THEN IT WILL GO FROM THERE TO THE POOL. THEN THERE'LL BE A PROJECT AT BETTER CREEK.

WILL THE POOLS HAVE TO BE SHUT DOWN? YES.

YES. ANOTHER COUPLE OF MILLION DOLLARS PER POOL.

I MEAN IT'S A BIG IT'S A BIG NUMBER GOOD AND WHAT WE DID WORK WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT

[01:05:05]

YEAH THERE WAS A DISCUSSION OVER THE PAST YEAR A COUPLE OF YEARS OF DO WE REPAIR ALL THESE POOLS OR DO WE BUILD THEM IN PRODUCT? AND I THINK THERE WAS JUST A LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND END OF THE DAY WE MET WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT WHO WAS VERY GOOD AND THEY SAID OH WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU GUYS TO KEEP USING THESE WE TO BECAUSE WE HAVE A LEASE ON THESE PROPERTIES AND SO WE'VE DECIDED TO EXTEND THAT TO CONTINUE TO INVEST AND THAT DOESN'T PREVENT US IN THE FUTURE FROM DOING AN AQUATIC CENTER RIGHT.

THE CONTRACT WAS UP THIS YEAR WASN'T IT CARLOS OR WAS PEOPLE WITHOUT A NAME WANT YOU TO WE'RE GOING TO EXTEND THAT. OKAY. SO YOU'RE IN THE PROCESS YOU'VE EXTENDED THE CONTRACT AND PROCESS OF EXTENDING THE CONTRACT BUT IT WAS A GOOD MEETING WITH THE FACILITIES AND THE SUPERINTENDENT GOOD MEANING GOOD GOOD CLASSES THAT WE OFFER WE STILL OFFER GROUP AND PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS THAT ARE YEAR ROUND STROKE IMPROVEMENT THOSE ARE FOR ADULTS AND THAT'S YEAR ROUND AS WELL. CPR AND LIFEGUARDING CLASSES ARE BY APPOINTMENT BUT THEY'RE OFFERED YEAR ROUND. WELL ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? YOU WERE DOWN LIFEGUARDS BEFORE WEREN'T YOU? YES.

ARE YOU STILL DOWN LIFEGUARD? YOU KNOW ANYBODY 16 OR OLDER PLEASE BRING THEM OUR WAY.

I THINK WE OFTEN SA AS PARTICIPANTS THOUGH SO WE'RE UP AS FAR AS PARTICIPANTS AND OUR POOLS FANTASTIC YEAH ALL RIGHT I SAID THE LAST TIME BUT AND HE DOESN'T JUST DO POOLS SHE ALSO HELPS WITH TRAINING AND STOCKING AND CONTROLLING ALL OF OUR HEADS AND READ CROSS

[10. Organizational Update]

CERTIFICATIONS ETC. SO VERY VALUABLE ORGANIZATIONAL UPDATE .

YEAH THAT'S OKAY BASICALLY. WE'VE DONE A GOOD JOB OF HIRING UP HERE RECENTLY THERE'S BEEN GOOD NUMBER. I SEE THE FORMS COME ACROSS FOR APPROVAL SO THAT MEANS THAT OTHER HAS HAD TO PROCESS THEM OR THEY'VE COME THROUGH AN ATHLETIC GROUP AND THAT'S GOOD AS FAR AS KEEPING THESE PLACES STAFFED AS YOU GUYS AS I'VE LEARNED, YOU KNOW I WAS JUST SHOWED UP TO REC CENTERS. I DON'T THERE'S A LOT OF WORK AND PEOPLE AND SWEAT THAT GOES INTO IT BEING OPEN AND SAFE AND CLEAN AND SO THAT AGAIN THIS TEAM BALANCES A OF THOSE THINGS THAT PEOPLE DON'T OH THERE'S JUST RUNNING IN THIS LEAGUE. NO THERE'S LOT MORE THAT GOES INTO IT THE FACILITIES ETC. BUT FOR DETAILS WE'VE GOT SOME OPEN FULL TIME LIFEGUARDS AS YOU ASKED ABOUT JUST NOW WE'VE GOT SOME PART TIME POSITIONS THOSE I CONTINUE TO SEE A HIRE AND THEN WE HAVE A WEIRD H.R. PROCESS WHERE IF SOMEBODY QUITS FOR THE SUMMER OR THE OR THE SCHOOL YEAR TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL. IT LOOKS LIKE THEY RESIGNED.

WE'RE GOING TO CHANGE THAT AND JUST KEEP THEM ON BECAUSE KNOW THEY'RE COMING BACK BUT THE THE ONE EVERYBODY WANTS TO TALK ABOUT TODAY IS THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED OVER 40 QUALIFIED APPLICATIONS FOR THE DIRECTOR AND SO DAYLE AND I AND I'LL INTRODUCE THE NEXT PART OF THE BIG ORGANIZATIONAL UPDATE IS DALE. BUT I THINK SOME OF GUYS KNOW DALE HE LIVES NOT FAR FROM HERE. IS THAT TRUE? HE'S BEEN SEEN IN THIS AREA FOR A WHILE SO ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE WISE DALE WILL UP GOING INTO THE ACA THE INTO WHICH PARKS AND REC WILL BE IN THAT DIVISION I'LL STILL BE INVOLVED IN THE ADMINISTRATION AND DALE WON'T LET ME ESCAPE AND I LIKE IT HONESTLY SO IT'LL BE A GOOD TEAM TO KEEP THIS ROLLING FORWARD BUT WE'LL BE INVOLVED IN THE HIRING PROCESS WITH AS WE TALKED ABOUT AT THE LAST MEETING YOUR BOARD MEMBER AND WE WILL BEGIN THAT IN THE NEXT WEEK. AND DALE, ARE YOU NOT NO LONGER IN REGISTER OF DEEDS? I HAVE NOT. IF I TOOK THIS ROLE ON THE TWO AND A HALF YEARS AGO NOW SO WE'VE JUST KIND OF SAID YEAH, I'M UP ON THAT STUFF AND HE'S HAD OTHER DIVISIONS OTHER DEPARTMENTS AND WE'VE JUST KIND OF AS WITH ALL THE ADMINISTRATION TURNOVER HAVE LOOKED AT OKAY WHERE HOW DOES THIS ALL WORK? HOW DOES HOW THE DIVISIONS BEST WORK AND WE FEEL LIKE THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT THING. THERE'S GREAT GUY FOR THIS TO KEEP THIS MOMENTUM. I FEEL LIKE WE'VE GOT A GOOD A LOT OF GOOD MOMENTUM AND TO KEEP IT GOING FORWARD. SO HE'S GOT SOMETHING AGAINST ME.

HEY, IT'S NOT ME AS FAR AS YOU KNOW. A GOOD QUESTION.

SO WHEN YOU SAID DIRECT WE'RE LOOKING FOR WE'RE STILL LOOKING FOR A DIRECTOR FOR PARKS AND REC. YES, WE'RE LOOKING FOR YES THAT THAT'S RIGHT.

I'M I'M I'M IN ADMINISTRATION SO I DO EVERYTHING FROM CAPITAL PROJECTS TO SPECIAL PROJECTS TO ANYTHING THAT THE ADMINISTRATOR TELLS ME TO DO. I'M THAT GUY THAT'S OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED. BUT YOU'RE THE ACTING DIRECTOR AT THIS.

EXACTLY RIGHT. YEAH, EXACTLY. YEAH.

SO I JUST MEETING STAFF MEETINGS AND I SIGN OFF ON EVERYTHING BUT BUT WE'RE WELL WHAT WOULD SAY AND OBVIOUSLY WE'VE GOT MORE OF A REPORT BUT HAVEN'T REALLY IT LOOKS THINGS HAVE CONTINUED TO RUN WELL OH YEAH AND AS EVIDENCED BY YOUR EMPLOYEES AND EVERYTHING ELSE SO I COMMEND YOU ALL ON THAT. YOU KNOW SECOND AND IT'S GOOD ALSO TO HAVE BEEN INVOLVED THIS

[01:10:04]

HAVING THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN ALSO IN THE PURVIEW TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY WORK TOGETHER LIKE WHEN WE TALKING ABOUT TEN AFTER WE TALK ABOUT DIFFERENT NEEDS IN THE COMMUNITY OR WE HAD THE ISSUE LAST YEAR WITH IMPROVING THE BLUFFTON CENTER FIELD FOR LACROSSE SO WOULD READY FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR IT'S GOOD TO HAVE THAT LEVEL OF INTIMATE KNOWLEDGE SO IT'S NOT JUST SOME LINE ON A PAPER WHICH CAN HAPPEN A BIG GOVERNMENT SITUATION IT'S BEEN REALLY GOOD TO BE INVOLVED IN IT. JUST A QUICK FOLLOW UP OF GUESS WHAT BEFORE EITHER ONE OF YOU THAT THE BUDGET THAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD WOULD IT BE SOMEONE WE'RE LOOKING FOR THAT'S WITHIN THE COMMUNITY OR WE JUST WE'RE ARE WE GOING TO STAY WITH SOMEONE? AND THE REASON WHY I SAID IS BECAUSE I'M THINKING WHOEVER THAT PERSON WOULD I WOULD SAY PERSON THEY SOMEONE WHO HAS A TIES THE COMMUNITY KNOWS WHAT WE ALREADY NEED CAN JUST AS WELL THIS IS NOT UNDER OUR PURVIEW UNDERSTOOD OUR PURVIEW ASSISTING IN THE INTERVIEW VIEWING PROCESS THAT AT THE DIRECTION OF THE OF THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR PHIL HAS A VERY SOLID BACKGROUND CAREER IN THIS AND THAT'S WHY WE ENLISTED PHIL TO BE PART OF THAT PROCESS. STAFF MY PERSONAL OPINION IS WE NEED TO FIND THE BEST PERSON FOR JOB AND IF THAT PERSON LIVES IN CALIFORNIA, IF THAT PERSON LIVES IN BEAUFORT, IF THAT PERSON LIVES IN MIAMI WHOEVER THAT IS WANTS TO COME HERE, HAS THE MOST EXPERIENCE AND CAN DO THE BEST JOB THAT'S GOING TO BE NEEDED AND WE'RE GOING TO LOOK AS THE THE THREE OF US TOGETHER IT'S IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY FROM THESE LAST SIX MONTHS THERE'S SO MUCH POTENTIAL THAT WE WANT TO REALLY HAVE SOMEBODY WHO HAS SOME EXPERIENCE IN THINKING BIGGER AND GROWING. WE'VE HAD GREAT GROWTH SO WE'VE HAD WE HAVE WE'RE NOT NOT GETTING SMALLER. YEAH. HOW DO WE CONTINUE THIS GROWTH PROPERLY? HOW DO WE GROW INTO THESE AREAS THAT WE'RE NOT SERVING AND MAKE IT A REAL AN END BUT COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IT HAS TO BE SOMEBODY THAT WILLING TO GET INVOLVED DIG INTO THE COMMUNITY AND BECAUSE IT WE TALK ABOUT IT ALL THE TIME THERE IS THERE ARE TASKS OF A JOB AND THERE ARE PARTNERSHIPS THAT CAN BE HAD AND IF YOU FOCUS ON ONE THING WHICH IS WE WANT MORE PEOPLE PLAYING SPORTS THEN WE CAN WORK OUT THE REST OF IT.

YEAH IN THERE HAS NOT BEEN AS YOU SEE THERE THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR POSITION IS OPEN AS WELL AND WE HAVE NOT WITH A DEPUTY DIRECTOR SO KNOW THERE WAS TWO HIRE THE DIRECTOR AND NOT JUST TELL HIM OR HER WHAT TO DO AS FAR AS THAT DEPUTY THEM BUILD THAT TEAM.

THAT'S RIGHT. WE'VE MADE SOME STRUCTURAL SO IT'S A SUSTAINABLE ORGANIZATION. HOWEVER NOBODY WANTS TO BE GIVEN 100% OF 200 PAGE DESCRIPTION OF EXACTLY WHAT TO DO BECAUSE THEN YOU'VE ELIMINATED THE CREATIVE PERSON I THINK I APPRECIATE THAT ESPECIALLY AS SOMEONE WHO REPRESENTS THE NORTH SIDE OF SAINT HELENA, I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT THAT SOMEONE LOOKS AT THE WHOLE YOU YOU KNOW SO I'M WITH YOU. ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU.

THANKS. THANKS THAT'S ALL I HAVE REALLY.

I MEAN UNLESS YOU WANT TO KNOW THE LITTLE THE DETAILS YOU CAN READ I DON'T UNDERNEATH TO READ YOU THE SLIDE BUT WE CONTINUE TO SEE PHIL I THINK IT'S A GOOD PLACE TO WORK AND WHEN YOU ASK ABOUT COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE POOR I'VE NOT HAD THEM AND IF THERE WAS A COMPLAINT I WOULD GET IT SO WELL I THINK I THINK THE POOLS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AN ISSUE BECAUSE THEY'RE A VERY LARGE EXPENSE BUT THEY'RE ALSO THEY ALSO PROVIDE THE SWIM LESSONS FOR THE SCHOOL KIDS AND YOU KNOW, A COUNTY THAT'S 75% WATER THAT'S EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. SO THAT IS OUR PROGRAM.

I SAW THE 7030 SIGN OFF. IT'S POPULAR. THAT'S GREAT.

I MEAN I THINK THE FACT THAT THE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT IS APPARENTLY PRETTY STRONG OR WE'RE WORKING TOWARD THAT. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A PROPONENT OF HAVING THAT RELATIONSHIP WITH THE SCHOOLS AND I KNOW THAT'S BEEN UP AND DOWN OVER TIME. SO AS YOU AND I TALKED MANY MONTHS AGO HOPEFULLY THAT'S IMPROVING AND WILL CONTINUE. UM YOU KNOW TO IMPROVE COMMENT IF YOU WOULD IF YOU KNOW AND PARTICIPATION AT THE DOWNTOWN TENNIS COURTS AND THE PICKLEBALL FACILITY AT BURTON WELLS THE UTILIZED VERSION OF IT I WOULD LEAVE THAT TO THOSE THAT ARE ON SITE AT BURTON WELLS TO TELL ME BUT I'VE IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S VERY ACTIVE VERY ACTIVE SO IT'S REALLY QUIET OVER THERE THEN IN THE DOWNTOWN COURTS STAY ACTIVE.

I DRIVE BY THEM IN THE MORNING IN THE NIGHT AND THEY BUSY. YES.

A LOT OF GOOD LESSONS GOING ON AGAIN EVIDENCED BY THE 7030 SIGN OFF AND JUST OVERALL ACTIVITY AT THE COURTS. IT'S GOOD IT'S GOOD TO SEE THE 70 EXCELLENT BUT IT'S GOOD JUST LIKE TO SEE YOU CAN SEE THE ACTIVITY I GO SOMETIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY JUST TO CHECK IT OUT BECAUSE RIGHT. THAT'S GREAT. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS FOR HANK OR

[01:15:06]

ANYBODY ELSE HERE? THERE'S ONE OF THE RESUMES THAT YOU GOT FOR THE DIRECTOR POSITION OR HOW ARE FROM EXTERNAL OUTSIDE OF COUNTY I'M THIS IS GOING TO BE A GUESSTIMATE BUT PROBABLY TWO THIRDS TO THREE QUARTERS. OKAY.

BUT WE HAVE AN INTERVIEW WE'RE GOING TO AT THIS POINT THERE ARE SEVEN ON A LIST THAT WE'RE REACHING OUT THAT WE'RE GOING TO REACH OUT TO NOW THEY'VE ALWAYS RESERVED THE RIGHT TO MOVE FOR MORE IF YOU DON'T FIND THE RIGHT PERSON IN THOSE SEVEN, ARE THEY FROM SOUTHEASTERN REGION OR ARE THEY FROM SOUTH CAROLINA OR ARE THEY FROM USA? WELL, I MEAN JUST IN GENERAL I MEAN YEAH THERE'S SOME THERE ARE SOME SOME SOME FROM SOUTH CAROLINA, GEORGIA, SOME FROM FLORIDA SOME FROM THE CAROLINAS.

THERE WERE SOME FROM NOT IN THE FINAL BUT WE HAD TWO APPLICANTS FROM CALIFORNIA, FROM NEBRASKA, FROM PITTSBURGH, FROM ALL OVER THE PLACE. I MEAN PEOPLE WANT TO COME TO COUNTY. THAT'S KIND OF WHY I WAS ASKING.

YEAH, THERE WERE THERE WAS FAR REACHING INTEREST. IT'S YOU KNOW, RESUMES AND LETTERS ARE HARD ESPECIALLY WITH OUR COVER SYSTEM HAVE TO LOOK BACK TO WHAT THEY WROTE A LOT OF PEOPLE I DON'T KNOW SOME OF US MIGHT BE IN THE SAME BOAT HAVE REALLY VERY SPECIFIC NARROW FOCUSED EXPERIENCE WE TRIED TO BALANCE NOT THROWING THAT OUT NECESSARILY BUT SOMEBODY THIS HAS TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO RUN A BIG TEAM WITH A WIDE ARRAY OF ACTIVITIES SOME OF THEM NOT EVEN SPORTS FROM SO THAT WE WANT TO GET MORE INVOLVED AND HOW DO WE SERVE THE COMMUNITY IT CAME UP AT THE COUNCIL READ A PLANNING RETREAT EARLIER THIS WEEK DO WE GET INTO EVEN E GAMING SITUATIONS WE GET INTO HOW DO WE ENGAGE MORE PEOPLE ESPECIALLY YOUTH THROUGHOUT THE AND WE TALKED ABOUT SUMMER CAMPS WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF PLANNING CAMPS WHICH I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU A FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT TODAY BUT IT'S BIGGER THAN IT'S NOT DAYCARE AND IT'S NOT DIRECTLY SPORTS CAMP BUT WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO BLEND THE BECAUSE PEOPLE DO NEED CHILDCARE AND ENRICHED IN ENRICHMENT AND ENGAGEMENT BUT WE WANT TO DO IT IN A WAY THAT GETS MORE PEOPLE TO PLAY NOT JUST SPORTS BECAUSE WHAT ABOUT THE KID THAT DOESN'T PLAY SPORTS? AND SO WE'RE TALKING ABOUT ACTIVITIES TO FULLY WELL RECREATION INCLUDE YEAH EXACTLY RIGHT EXACTLY RIGHT SO I MEAN WE I SAID PLAY MORE SPORTS A MINUTE AGO AND I WANTED TO KIND OF GO BACK ON THAT AND SAY IT'S MORE ABOUT HOW DO WE ENGAGE MORE KIDS IN RECREATION PERIOD . WE HAVE TO THINK BIGGER AND REALLY TO DO THAT AND WHEN ARE GOING TO START INTERVIEWING THESE SEVEN BECAUSE WE CAN AND SO WHEN WOULD I MEAN AND IN A PERFECT WORLD WHEN DO YOU EXPECT TO PUT AN OFFER OUT TO SOMEBODY A PERFECT WORLD, YEAH. I MEAN WITHIN THE NEXT MONTH THIS MONTH THIS MONTH.

GOOD. OKAY. ALL RIGHT.

DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY OTHER COMMENTS FOR INC JUST ONE MORE AND THAT WOULD BE ON THE COMMENT. THIS IS MY LAST ONE. ALL RIGHT.

I PROMISE ON WE ON THE NINTH IS THE FINAL DAY FOR BRIDGE STREET FOR SOFTBALL SINCE WE'RE LOOKING TO TRY AND GET FOUR TEAMS, COULD WE EXTEND THAT?
