SO WE BASICALLY MOVED FOR THAT ALONG WITH THE OTHER AMENITIES, GOLF, GOOD SCHOOLS, PEACHES, LOVE IT HERE.

I WENT OVER YOUR BACKGROUND AND IT TAKES TOO LONG TO READ IT, BUT IT'S, IF YOU GO ONLINE AND LOOK AT IT, IT'S JUST OUTSTANDING.

AND I GOT EXCITED ABOUT THAT.

AND SHE BROUGHT ME ON BOARD.

I UNDERSTAND YOU MADE A LOT OF CHANGES TO THE BOARD, A LOT OF INTERESTING PEOPLE ON YOUR BOARD NOW, WHO HAVE YOU BROUGHT TO YOUR BOARD SINCE YOU'VE BEEN CHAIRMAN? WELL, WE HAVE SOME FANTASTIC PEOPLE.

OUR VICE CHAIR IS LOLA CAMPBELL, WHO IS FROM AN OLD FAMILY AND ALL GULLAH FOUNTAIN, THE HERE IN HILTON HEAD, THE CAMPBELL FAMILY.

AND SHE'S ALSO A LAWYER WORKS IN BANKING, JUST OPENED A STORE IN, UH, IN GULLAH GOODS AS WELL.

SO SHE'S VERY, VERY INTERESTING DYNAMIC AND WE'RE EXCITED TO HAVE HER.

WE HAVE MARGO BROWN WHO, UH, HAS FROM HILTON HEAD PREK.

WHO'S VERY INTEGRATED WITH HILTON HEAD, A LOT OF THOUGHT LEADERS ON OUR BOARD.

AND WE'RE JUST ABOUT READY TO ENTER THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PHASE BECAUSE FUNDING IS GOING TO BE EVERYTHING.

SO WE'LL BE DOING IT GRADUALLY.

WE'VE ALREADY PUT IN THREE NEW BATEAU BOARDS THAT SAY A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE HISTORY.

THE NEXT PHASE, WE'LL ACTUALLY BE PUTTING SHOVELS IN AND RECREATING SOME OF THE HOUSES, SOME OF THE STREETS, THE HISTORICAL CHURCHES ELEMENTS OF THOSE.

AND THEN WE WANT TO ALSO PUT AN INTERPRETIVE CENTER THAT WILL HAVE PROGRAMMING, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING.

HOW HAS ARTIFACTS WHEN CHILDREN IN HELP WITH ARCHEOLOGICAL DIGS AND THAT SORT OF NATURE, THE CHAMBER ALWAYS COMPLAINS THAT THEY DON'T PROMOTE MITCHELLVILLE AS MUCH AS THEY SHOULD, BECAUSE IT'S NOTHING FOR PEOPLE TO SEE, PUT THEIR HANDS ON AND TOUCH.

THERE'S A PLACE TO UNBLOCK PEOPLE CALLED FORT HOWL THAT WAS BUILT THERE BY A REGIMEN FROM PHILADELPHIA TO PROTECT MISERABLE.

THIS IS OUR HISTORY, AMERICAN HISTORY DESIGN HISTORY.

AND YOU SHOULD LEARN WHAT THEY'RE DOING ALL THE WAY, BUT YOU HAVE COUNTY TALK CONVERSATION WITH THE NATIONAL PARK SYSTEM TO BE POOR ENOUGH WATER.

AND ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN WE GET THE FUNDING WITHIN A COUPLE OF YEARS, WE'RE HOPING WE'RE REALLY HOPING TO ENTER OUR CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PHASE WITHIN SIX MONTHS A YEAR.

WE WANTED TO DO IT BEFORE THE PANDEMIC PANDEMIC HIT THINGS HAPPENED, BUT WE'RE PRETTY MUCH READY TO GO.

AND YOU'RE GOING TO DO THAT NATIONALLY.

YES, ABSOLUTELY.

DO YOU HAVE A COMPANY DOING A FOUR YEAR? YES, WE ARE WORKING WITH A NATIONAL CONSULTANT GROUP, THE COMPASS GROUP BASED IN MACON, GEORGIA.

THEY'VE BEEN VERY, VERY HELPFUL.

WHAT'S THE, WHAT'S THEIR PLAN.

I THINK IT'S GOING TO GO UP NATIONWIDE AND THEN NARROW DOWN WHAT THEY WANT TO DO.

PENN IS A VERY INTERESTING ISLAND.

UM, IT HAS, IT'S KNOWN FOR ITS TOURISM, ITS BEACH, TENNIS AND GOLF, AND THAT IN ITSELF, OTHER THAN STRAIGHT MARKETING COME HERE AND BUY DOESN'T HAVE A VALUE TO IT.

WHAT I THINK IS SO UNDER RATED IN HILTON HEAD IS ITS GREATEST RESEARCH RESOURCE, WHICH IS NOT BEACH TENNIS OR GOLF, BUT THE GREATEST RESOURCE ARTS PEOPLE AND THESE PEOPLE ON HILTON HEAD, I'VE NEVER SEEN ANY PLACE THAT HAS PEOPLE THAT ARE SO INTERESTED IN HELPING OTHERS.

SO COMMUNITY SPIRITED, AND THEY HAVE SO MANY PROJECTS AND I DON'T KNOW HOW OR WHY TO GET NATIONAL CHAINS INVOLVED IN IT.

BUT I THINK WHEN PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT HILTON HEAD IS MORE THAN JUST BEACH TENNIS AND GOLF, ONCE IT PERHAPS GETS MARKETED DIFFERENTLY AND IT IS A CULTURAL ATTRACTION, I THINK BRANDS WILL COME FORWARD AND BE WANT TO ASSOCIATE WITH THAT.

IT'S IN A CULTURAL ATTRACTION IS VERY IMPORTANT.

WE HAVE THE, UH, CIVIL WAR CEMETERY UP ON 2 78 AND MITCHELLVILLE, AND A LOT OF PLACES THAT, THAT ARE POLE POTTER, ABORIGINAL, BUT WE ALSO HAVE ART AND MUSIC AND ALL SORTS OF CULTURAL THAT WE HAVE A SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.

AND WHO ELSE AROUND HERE HAS THAT? BESIDES I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I GOT HERE AND WE HAD A FULL BLOWN SYMPHONY OFFICER.

IT WAS A I SEEN A BLAME, YOU KNOW, IT'S JUST, UM, IT'S AMAZING.

AND IT'S VISUAL ARTS AND PERFORMING ARTS.

AND I LOVE THAT THE TOWN FINALLY HAS AN OFFICE OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, BUT WE, I HOPE YOU'VE BEEN INSTRUMENTAL IN HELPING THIS, BUT I HOPE WE GOING TO HAVE ARTISTS CORRIDORS AND PEOPLE WILL COME TO HILTON HEAD, NOT JUST FOR THE AMENITIES OR MAYBE HALF WILL COME FOR THE AMENITIES.

OTHERS WILL COME TO SEE A PLAY.

WE HAVE TWO THEATERS HERE.

UH, AND WE HAVE, WE HAVE A LOT MORE BEFORE THE ECONOMY WENT DEAD, WE WERE GOING TO BUY THE ART CENTER.

THEN WE WERE GOING TO TRANSFER IT OVER TO UCB, BUT THE TUITION, EVERYTHING WENT BAD FOR THEM.

SO THEY COULDN'T TAKE IT FILLS ME.

GOAL WAS WE BOUGHT KING FISHER.

I REMEMBER THE RESTAURANT WE BOUGHT THAT TORE DOWN AND WE'LL LOOK AT A COUPLE OF PLACES THAT WILL BE A LONG-TERM FOR AN ARTS COMPLEX.

WONDERFUL.

I MEAN, IT'S A GREAT KING KING FISHERS BEING ALONE, THE PARKING LOT UP THERE.

SO WE OWN A LOT WITH THE CHAMBER BUILDING.

THAT WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE FOR A NOTCH COMPLEX RIGHT THERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ISLANDS WILL BE SPECTACULAR ITSELF.
