WE HAVE A LOT TO TALK ABOUT. GET THROUGH IT IS AS DELIBERATELY AS WE NEED TO FIRST KIND OF GO THROUGH THE REPORT AND THEN WE'LL TALK ABOUT I THINK SOME OF THESE

AGENDA ITEMS WILL COME UP AS WE GET THROUGH THE REPORT. >> FIRST THING.

I MEAN ON THE ACTION ITEMS THAT WE DON'T NEED A VOTE I'LL TALK ABOUT A COUPLE THOSE.

FIRST THE ITEM NUMBER 10 WHICH WAS THE SMALL COMMUNITY AIR SERVICE DEVELOPMENT GRANT WHICH IS SCANTY FOR SHORT THAT ONE. AND THEN NUMBER TWELVE WHICH IS THE FAA AP GRANT FOR THE DESIGN AND BUILDING OF THE RUNWAY REHAB THOSE ARE BOTH PROJECTS THAT NO LONGER REQUIRE A RESOLUTION AND COUNCIL APPROVAL TO ACCEPT THOSE GRANTS BECAUSE THEY'RE RELATIVELY SMALL IN NATURE IN ANY MATCH. THE AIRPORT HAS WAS PRE-APPROVED BY THE COUNCIL PASSING THE BUDGET. SO THAT'S A NEW PIECE OF THIS YEAR'S BUDGET ORDINANCE BY THE COUNTY. SO SAVES US A LITTLE BIT OF TIME.

SO IF THAT'S WHY THOSE CAME OFF AND I'LL HIT THE LAST ONE IF WE GET THROUGH THE REPORT SO WE'LL SEE IF THIS GOES. THE PICTURE UP HERE WAS TAKEN BY TAD SOME YOU GUYS KNOW TAD WHO WORKS WITH US ON THE MAINTENANCE CREW AT HILTON HEAD.

I GET IT AND A COUPLE OTHER GUYS GET IN. IT'S A LITTLE TRIVIA THING THAT HE PLAYS WITH US. HE'S NEVER HAD A GOOD PRICES YET BUT SOMETIMES WE'LL BE AERIAL VIEWS OF DIFFERENT AIRPORTS TO YOUR CITIES AND YOU HAVE TO PICK THEM, SAID CHICAGO ON THEIR THE SKYLINE. HE ACTUALLY HAD EVERETT FIELD WAY UP AND IN WASHINGTON ON THERE WHICH HAS GONE INTERESTING. THE ONLY REASON YOU PICKED THAT IS BECAUSE ALL THE 737 FLYING OUT THERE I'D NEVER BEEN THERE BUT I SAW THE SEVEN THREES.

THERE'S GOT TO BE EVERETT. HE ALSO COOKS A MEAN HAMBURGER ON TUESDAY NIGHT.

BUT ONCE WE GET THOSE IN AND ONCE THE OSHKOSH CREW COMES DOWN TO TRAIN OUR OUR GUYS, THEN WE'LL GET READY TO PUT THAT IN THE SERVICE. SO I HAVE TWO FIFTEEN HUNDRED GALLON TRUCKS.

THAT THING IS INCREDIBLE. YOU SIT IN IT AND IT'S LIKE BEING IN A GLASS COCKPIT.

I MEAN IT'S YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING OUT THERE. EVERYTHING'S EASIER TO OPERATE . SO WE'RE SUPER GLAD TO HAVE THAT BRAND NEW AND OH BY THE WAY, 100 PERCENT FUNDED BY THE FAA DIDN'T COST US A NICKEL TO GET THAT TRUCK.

YES WE'VE FED A BUNCH PEOPLE IN THERE. PLUS IT'S GOT A NICE HATCH UP TO THE TO THE ROOF TO THAT TURRET. REALLY EASY TO GET AROUND IN EVEN IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IN THE BACK. IT'S GOT A BIG OPEN DOOR SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY CRAWL INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT TO DO WORK INSTEAD OF HAVING TO BE ALL SMASHED UP INSIDE PLACES SO A REALLY NICE ELECTRIC OR REQUIRE ANY CREW TRAINING.

HAS BEEN DONE OR IT DOES. >> WE HAD TWO OF OUR OFF OUR OFFICERS GO TO OSHKOSH ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO AND DO THE FINAL INSPECTION BEFORE IT CAME OFF. OUT OF THE THE FACILITY AND SO THEY KIND OF DID THE THE SIGN FROM OUR STANDPOINT FOR ACCEPTANCE AND THEN GOT SHIPPED DOWN HERE AND THEN THE THE TRAINERS FROM OSHKOSH WILL BE DOWN SO THEY CAN TRAIN ALL OF OUR PERSONNEL ON THAT TRUCK AND ONCE THAT TRAINING IS DONE AND THERE'S ONE CONTROL PANEL THAT NEEDS IN A DISPLAY PANEL ONCE THAT'S INSTALLED THEN WE'RE READY TO PUT THE SERVICE . ALL RIGHT. SO THAT'S THE TRUCK.

LET'S SEE WE'LL TALK ABOUT NOW WE'LL TALK ABOUT THE TURMOIL. BUT LET ME GO BACK WE'LL JUST LET YOU FOCUS ON THE TRUCK AND THEN WE'LL WE'LL TALK ABOUT AIR W FIRST.

IT USUALLY DOES. YOU REMEMBER FROM SEEING THE NUMBERS ON THE REPORTS THAT OPERATIONS AND FUEL SALES TYPICALLY DO DECLINE IN THE SUMMERTIME BECAUSE OF THE HEAT . WE THINK THAT THERE MAY BE A KIND OF A DOUBLE WHAMMY EFFECT THIS YEAR WITH THE FUEL PRICES JUST FROM INFLATION.

SO WE'RE TRACKING THAT. BUT IN THE MEANTIME WE'RE LOOKING AT ADJUSTING HOURS OUT THERE. WE MIGHT ONLY BE OPEN HALF A DAY ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

A COUPLE REASONS FOR THAT. NUMBER ONE, WE WE DON'T KNOW THAT IT'S AN EFFECTIVE USE OF OF OUR STAFF TIME TO BE SITTING THERE AND IT KIND OF I DON'T WANT TO LOSE STAFF BY HAVING THEM SIT THERE AND WAIT FOR SOMEBODY TO LAND BECAUSE THAT GETS FOLKS BORED AND FRANKLY WASTE THEIR TIME AND I'M NOT INTO THAT. SO WE'RE PROBABLY GONNA BE DOWN HALF DAYS ON WEEKENDS WE'LL FIGURE OUT WHAT THOSE ACTUAL HOURS ARE.

BUT THEN AS THE SEASON PICKS UP AND CHRIS REMINDED ME THAT ONCE THE SESSION REOPENS THE GOLF COURSE THEN WE GET MORE TRAFFIC AND TYPICALLY A LOT MORE TURBO PROP AND SMALL JETS THAT MAY

COME IN AND THEN WE'LL LOOK AT MAYBE ADJUSTING THINGS. BUT WE'RE TRYING TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS BASED ON STAFFING AND THE REQUIREMENT FOR BEING OPERATIONAL OUT THERE. THERE'S ALWAYS GOING TO BE THE SELF SURVIVED GAS SO THERE'S FLIGHT TRAINING GOING ON OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. YOU CAN ALWAYS GET AB GAS AND THEN OF COURSE IF ANYBODY WANTS A CALL OUT FOR JET FUEL THAT YOU CAN STILL DO THE AFTER HOURS CALL OUT. SO THAT'LL BENEFIT OUR EMPLOYEES AS WELL.

SO THAT'S THE HOURS TO STAY TUNED ON THAT. THE EXTERIOR PROJECT RENOVATIONS OF THE TERMINAL, THEY'RE ONGOING RIGHT NOW. SO IF YOU'RE OUT BY THE AIRPORT YOU'LL SEE THAT THE TERMINAL IS BEING PAINTED ON THE OUTSIDE. THE ALL THE HANDRAILS THAT GO UP THE WALKWAYS ARE BEING REDONE, ALL THE POSTS AND EVERYTHING HAVE BEEN REMOVED.

THE NEW ONES ARE BEING INSTALLED. SO ALL THAT SKIN FINISHED UP.

WE'LL FOLLOW THAT UP WITH SOME LANDSCAPING. WE'LL HAVE NEW SIGNAGE OUT THERE. WE'VE NEVER REALLY HAD A MONUMENT SIGN ON THE ROAD.

SO THAT'S PART OF THIS PROJECT . WE'LL DESIGN AND GET PERMITTED A MONUMENT SIGN TO TO BE OUT THERE ON THE ROAD. SO THAT'S BEING FUNDED WITH OUR H TAX GRANT WHICH IS HOSPITALITY TAX AS WELL AS WE'VE APPLIED FOR A MATCH FROM SOUTH CAROLINA AERONAUTICS WHICH WE HAD LAST YEAR FOR THE INTERIOR AND WE ENDED UP BEING ABLE TO FUND THAT ENTIRE PROJECT THROUGH GRANTS. SO GARY STILL THERE WHICH IS GOOD BECAUSE GARY IS PHENOMENAL TOO. AND HE'S KIND PROGRAM MANAGER AND HE'LL BE THE ONE WHO WE INTERFACE WITH ON GRANT'S. SO THAT IS THAT I THINK THAT'S IT FOR AIR WS.

WE'LL GET ON THE TILTON HEAD PART 139 INSPECTION WAS CONDUCTED LAST WEEK AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK. SO WE'RE STILL WAITING ON THE WRITTEN REPORT FROM THAT.

THERE IS ALWAYS SOME HIGHS AND SOME LOWS FROM THOSE WE'VE HAD AS ANOTHER BRAND NEW INSPECTOR FOR US. THIS ONE'S GOT AN ART BACKGROUND SO PRETTY INTENSE RF INSPECTION AND TRAINING RECORDS INSPECTION BUT SHE HAS SOME GREAT SUGGESTIONS FOR US ON OUR TRANSITION FROM OUR OLD TRADITIONAL PAPER TRACKING SYSTEM TO THE COMPUTER BASED SYSTEM WHICH WE HAVE IN PLACE. BUT WE'RE KIND OF TRAINING THE RF GUYS TO TRANSITION TO THAT.

SO COME NEXT YEAR WE'LL HAVE EVERYTHING 100 PERCENT ELECTRONIC WHICH IS IT HAS THE ADDED BENEFIT OF IF THE RF INSPECTOR WANTS TO INSPECT RECORDS, MAKE A REQUEST AND OR WE JUST GET MORE ACCESS TO OUR SYSTEM AND THEY CAN REVIEW RECORDS SO COULD SAVE SOME TIME ON THE ACTUAL FIELD INSPECTION WHICH WOULD BE GOOD AIRFIELDS IN GOOD SHAPE.

SO THAT'S GOOD. I DON'T THINK WE HAVE ANYTHING MAJOR ON THE AIRFIELD.

USUAL EROSION ISSUES THAT YOU HAVE FROM SUMMERTIME RAINSTORMS THAT YOU KEEP UP WITH FROM FROM DAY TO DAY BUT WE ALWAYS FIGHT. SO NOTHING MAJOR. THAT WAS GOOD.

WE DID. YOU MIGHT HAVE SEEN THAT IN THE NEWS THAT WE RECEIVED A BIO GRANT THAT BYPASS INFRASTRUCTURE LAW HAD NO IDEA THAT WE'D RECEIVED THAT WE APPLIED FOR IT BECAUSE THERE'S GREAT OPPORTUNITY BUT THAT'S FOR THE TOWER AND IT WAS A COMPETITIVE GRANT PROGRAM. THERE WAS 20 MILLION DOLLARS AVAILABLE NATIONWIDE AND WE GOT TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND. SO THAT'S WHEN WE APPLIED FOR AND THAT'LL BE WE'LL UPDATE OUR ADAS IN THE TOWER AND WE'LL UPDATE ALL THE OLD COMMUNICATION GEAR. IF YOU'VE BEEN IN THE TOWER YOU CAN SEE THAT WE'VE GOT OLD

PUNCH BUTTON COMMUNICATION DEVICES WHICH ARE TROUBLESOME. THEY USUALLY WORK BUT OBVIOUSLY THE MORE YOU PUNCH A MECHANICAL BUTTON AND YOU PUNCH SAME ONES OVER AND OVER BECAUSE OF THE SAME FREQUENCIES THAT WE'RE OUT. SO THERE'S GOING TO BE A NEW TOUCHSCREEN CONTROL PANEL THAT WILL HAVE. SO WE'LL UPGRADE THAT EQUIPMENT WHICH WOULD BE GREAT FOR THE CONTROLLERS, MAKE LIFE A LITTLE BIT BETTER FOR THEM OUT THERE AND WE'LL WE'LL DO SOME OTHER UPGRADES, LITTLE THINGS LIKE THE CONSOLE THEY WORK ON NEEDS TO BE UPDATED. THE CARPET IN THE CAB HASN'T BEEN UPDATED.

OTHER THINGS LIKE THE THE HATCH IT GOES UP TO THE ROOF HAS HAS LEAKED SO THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BUT BASIC THINGS THAT WE NEED TO GET TO NOW WE CAN TAKE CARE OF WHAT THAT GRANT.

SO WHAT ABOUT THE INSTALLATION OF RADAR THE TOWERS THAT CONVERSATION HAD OR NOT WITH

THIS GRANT BECAUSE THAT'S A COUPLE OF MILLION DOLLAR DEAL. >> YOU EVEN GET A FEED IN THE CAN'T FEED. WE'RE WORKING ON THAT. THAT WILL PROBABLY WON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS GRANT. WELL, WE'VE BEEN COORDINATE WITH THE AIR STATION OVER THE LAST FEW MONTHS TO FIGURE OUT HOW THAT MIGHT HAPPEN. BUT IT'S AN INCREDIBLY SLOW PROCESS TO EVEN GET PEOPLE TO ANSWER PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS ABOUT THAT.

SO WE'RE WE'RE STILL WORKING ON THAT. BUT ON THAT FEED, IF YOU THOUGHT IT WOULD COME FROM THE AIR STATION SAVANNAH. YES.

YEAH. I DON'T KNOW THAT SAVANNAH HADN'T REALLY INDICATED ANY INTEREST TO OUR TOWER PERSONNEL BUT THE AIR STATION HAS AND THEY'RE ACTIVELY WORKING ON IT.
