>> OKAY. >> ALL RIGHT. MAYBE WE APPROVE THE MINUTES AS PRESENTED WITH THE CORRECTION BEING THE THROUGH JANUARY 2022 .

IT'S POST AUGUST 21 SECOND FAVORITE POST TO HAVE ON THE DIRECTORS REPORT.

[7A. LIND BROWN UPDATE]

SO AN UPDATE ON LEN BROWN LEN BROWN'S MIGHT OPEN STARTING TO PICK UP ON BUSINESS ESPECIALLY IN THE AFTERNOONS THE WEEK OF MARCH THE 14TH. WE EXPECT THE DELIVERY TO BE A TRACTOR TRAILER OF ALL OF OUR WORKOUT EQUIPMENT FOR THAT FACILITY.

SO HOPEFULLY ONCE THAT TAKES PLACE WE'LL PICK UP DAYTIME. WE STILL HAVE SOME PICKLE BALL PEOPLE COMING IN FLYING IN THE MORNINGS. WE HAVE PUT DOWN TAPE SO THAT ALL THAT. THE ONLY THING THAT HAS TO BE GONE IS THE NEXT STAGE TO BE MOVE TO BOTH SIDES. SO YEAH. OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING

[00:05:02]

SEEMS TO BE GOING WELL AND HOPEFULLY LIKE I SAID, BUSINESS WILL PICK UP ON THAT.

[7B. DOWNTOWN TENNIS UPDATE]

WHAT SAY EQUIPMENT COMES IN? DOWNTOWN TENTS UP DAY. SO MARCH THE 14TH WILL BE THE THIRD READING OF THE APPROVAL AND PER ENGINEERING THE PROJECT WILL GET STARTED AT THE END OF MARCH. WE WILL START THE DEMOLITION PULLING DOWN THE FENCES AND THAT KIND STUFF SO WE SHOULD BE LOOKING AT THAT BY THE END OF MARCH BECAUSE THERE ARE PROPOSED OR ASSUMED DIG PROJECT . I DO NOT EXPECT ANYWHERE BETWEEN NINE TO 12 MONTHS. CONSIDERING THAT WE ARE REDOING VIRTUALLY EVERYTHING OUT THERE THAT'S FULLY FUNDED ALREADY IS I CORRECT? THAT IS.

YOU GOT IT. THEY ARE WAITING ON THE. THE MARCH FOR THE 14TH AND I THINK SAID THE MARCH THE 14TH. THIRD READING OF THE BALANCE OF THE MONEY THROUGH THE BOX SAYING WELL BOB JOBS APPROVAL FOR THAT. DID WE HAVE ANY DID WE HAVE ANY DETERMINATION OF . I KNOW THERE WERE SOME QUESTION AS TO WHAT COULD BE NAMED FOR THAT FACILITY OR FOR THE COURTS THERE. HAS THERE BEEN ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION ABOUT THAT? YOU GUYS VOTED FOR THE ARTHUR MIDDLETON, RIGHT.

AND I THINK THAT PER SO SOMEONE HAS TO HAVE PASSED AWAY ABOUT FIVE YEARS I BELIEVE IT WAS FOR

BRUCE THAT TRULY WAS A FIVE. >> SO WE HAVE TO. THAT'S INFORMATION'S BEEN PASSED ON BUT WE HAVE TO WAIT. THE AMOUNT OF TIME I HAD I HAD THOUGHT AT ONE TIME WE HAD DISCUSSED SOMETHING. THERE WAS. YOU COULDN'T NAME A COMPLEX AFTER SOMEONE BUT YOU COULD NAME THE COURTS AFTER HIM AT BEAUFORT.

TENNIS COMPLEX OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT? NO, I THINK YOU CAN NAME THE COMPLEX BUT YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE FIVE YEAR PERIOD OF THEM BEING GONE.

SO WE HAVE FOUR YEAR FOUR YEARS LEFT. >> I DON'T THINK IT'S BEEN IT'S BEEN LONGER. HAS IT BEEN WITH COVID ? IT'S BEEN TWO OR THREE YEARS.

[7C. BATHROOMS UPDATES]

YEAH. YEAH. YEAH.

OK, SO THAT'S A LOT. SO WE'VE BEEN WORKING ON THE DRAWINGS FOR GOING BACK AND FORTH WITH DESIGN BILL AND ENGINEERING. WE WANTED TO COME UP WITH SOME DRAWINGS THAT WE COULD START USING AT EACH OF THE PARKS AS WE PUT IN BATHROOM FACILITIES.

SO THIS IS WHAT WE CAME UP WITH. SO THAT YOU KNOW WHEN THE YOU LOOK AT THIS WHETHER IT'S FROM THE FIELD TENNIS COURTS OR WHATEVER, IT LOOKS LIKE A TWO SIDED TYPE BUILDING. AND THIS IS WHAT WE FINALLY COME UP WITH WITH THE DESIGN BUILD IS FINALIZING THE DRAWINGS AND THEN WE WILL GO OUT FOR THE INVITATION FOR BID AND BEGINNING MARCH THE 18TH FROM THAT AND WE SHOULD GET CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY FOR BATHROOMS AT ALBERTON WELLS AND AND BRUCE ED LIKE LET'S CALL CYBORG AND THEN WHAT? SO THOSE TWO WE SHOULD HAVE HOPEFULLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION BY EARLY MAY AND SO ARE YOU SAYING THAT THAT'S GONNA BE A DESIGN MOVING FORWARD? THAT WILL BE A DESIGN ARE FOR THE MOST PART MOIST SO THAT WE CAN NOT GO THROUGH THIS DESIGN PROCESS AGAIN.

WE WILL JUST HAVE YOU KNOW, DONE THIS IS THE SET OF DRAWINGS AND WE'LL BE ABLE TO USE IT. BOTH WILL HAVE MEN AND WOMEN'S RESTROOMS AS WELL AS A SMALL STORAGE SPACE. AND I GUESS THAT DEPENDS ALSO ON THE SIZE FACILITY, RIGHT? I MEAN IN TERMS OF YEAH BECAUSE FOR THE OUT OUTDOOR ALL OUR FACILITIES WITH THE THE.

[7D. BLUFFTON POOL UPDATES]

YES. BLUFFTON INDOOR POOL. SO NOT SURE IF YOU GUYS HAVE HEARD OR NOT. I'M NOT SURE IF YOU GUYS HEARD OR NOT BUT THEY BLOCKED AN INDOOR POOL WAS CLOSED DOWN THE ENGINEERING THAT CAME TO LOOK AT THE POOL TO SEE WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE TO THE POOL RECOMMENDED THAT WE SHUT IT DOWN DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES.

SO ADMINISTRATION WENT BACK AND REQUESTED A SECOND ENGINEERING FIRM COME IN AND LOOK AT AND MAKE DETERMINATION. THEY CAME BACK IN AND DETERMINED THE SAME THING THAT WE NEEDED TO VACATE THE POOL AND IT NEEDED EMERGENCY REPAIRS .

SO THOSE ARE WE'LL BE MOVED ALONG QUICKER BECAUSE IT IS AN EMERGENCY REPAIR.

THEY ARE GONNA HAVE TO GO IN AND REMOVE PART OF THE ROOF, FIX THE BEAMS THAT ARE NOT SECURE. AND ACCORDING TO WHAT THEY MAY OR NOT MAY OR MAY NOT PUT THAT

[00:10:04]

THE ENTIRE ROOF. SO WE WILL SEE WHAT THEY DETERMINE THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. LONG TERM I THINK WHAT THEIR THOUGHT PROCESS IS IS WE DO WHAT WE NEED TO DO TO GET THROUGH THE NEXT FIVE YEARS AND LOOK AT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW COAL NOT ON SCHOOL PROPERTY. SO I'M TRYING TO FIGURE WHERE WE CAN BUILD A BETTER POOL, SAFER POOL, SOMETHING THAT WILL BE MORE USER FRIENDLY FOR THE SAFETY CONCERNS FOR LAYMAN'S PERSPECTIVE IS THAT LIKE RUSS FALLING IN OR FEAR OF COLLAPSE OR WHAT'S THE. SO WE'VE WE'VE BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD FOR QUITE SOME TIME WITH THIS POOL. RIGHT. AND DIDN'T WE DON'T WE HAVE MONEY SET ASIDE FOR THESE REPAIRS? WE A CERTAIN AMOUNT.

WELL, WE HAD MONEY SET ASIDE FOR THE THREE FULL RENT FOR REPAIRS.

ALL THREE OF THEM HAVE BEEN RESURFACED. INFLATION WAS I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT RESURFACING THE LAST TIME WE DID IT WAS TWENTY FOUR THIRTY THOUSAND.

IT WAS OVER ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND FOR EACH FULL THIS TIME.

SO FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND THAT WAS SATISFIED IS NOT DOESN'T HAVE A LOT LEFT IN IT DUE TO THE RESURFACING OF EACH OF THE BILLS. SO WHEN WE GET WHEN WE GET THESE FOLKS THAT COME OUT AND GIVE US RECOMMENDATIONS THEN WHAT'S WHAT'S THE NEXT STEP GOING BACK TO COUNCIL AND LOOKING? I MEAN HOW WOULD THAT BE FUNDED? SO WITH EMERGENCY REPAIRS WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY FUND.

YES. WE'VE GOT MORE. SO THE OLDER FOLKS IF IT'S A GOOD EFFORT. OH. SO I'M GONNA BACK UP AND JUST GIVE A BRIEF HISTORY. THE POLLS ARE TWENTY TO TWENTY THREE YEARS OLD.

THEY STARTED AS A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT THAT'S 70 RALLY.

YOU'VE GOT HIGH AND BATTERED CREEK THOSE THREE BOYS. SO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT GAVE THE LAND ORIGINALLY A HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS TO CONSTRUCT THREE POOLS WE OPERATE MAINTAIN THE POOLS AND THEN THE SECOND GRADERS SWIM IN THE POOLS AND GET SOME LESSONS.

SO THAT BRINGS EVERYBODY UP TO SORT OF THEIR THEIR ORIGIN OVER TIME THE COST ENVIRONMENT ESPECIALLY IN THE POOL AND BLUFFTON BECAUSE IT'S SO HEAVILY USED HAS ERODED THE ROOF BEAMS, 10 PERCENT OF THE BEAMS ARE GONE, 30 PERCENT ARE COMPROMISED.

AND SO AT THIS POINT THEY SAID WE NEED TO GET OUT OF THE BUILDINGS BECAUSE IF A HIGH WIND EVENT THUNDERSTORM OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT COMES, WE DON'T THE ROOF IS FALLING.

SO THE POOLS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED. WE HAVE SOME HARPER MONEY AND SOME MONEY THAT WAS LEFTOVER FROM PREVIOUS BUDGETS THAT WE'RE TO FACILITATE THESE REPAIRS. THE QUESTION IS HOW CAN WE KEEP THE POOL OPEN AS LONG AS WE CAN AND AFFECT THE REPAIRS. SO RIGHT NOW THE FACILITIES MAINTENANCE GROUP IS TALKING ABOUT REMOVING THE ROOF BEFORE WE PUT EVERYTHING OUT TO BID FOR REPLACEMENT BECAUSE THAT'S

KIND OF A LONG PROCESS. >> USE THE POOL THROUGH THE SUMMER, GET THE BIDS AND THEN WHEN WE HAVE THE BIDS AND EVERYTHING IS IN PLACE ORDER ALL THE PIECES AND PARTS HAVE THEM HERE RE CLOSED THE POOL, RECONSTRUCT THE ROOF AND THEN REOPEN.

>> NOW THIS IS A TEMPORARY ISSUE RIGHT WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT LONG TERM FIVE 10 YEAR PLANS THE DISCUSSIONS RIGHT NOW ARE HOW WE PROVIDE MORE LANES SOUTH OF THE BROAD.

CLEARLY THERE NEEDED DO WE PUT A FACILITY OFF OF SCHOOL GROUNDS PERHAPS AT BLUFFTON CENTER OR A DIFFERENT NEW PIECE OF PROPERTY TO PURCHASE THIS PROPERTY AND BUILD IT? THE CHALLENGE THERE IS THE CHARLESTON FOLKS JUST DID ONE AND IT WAS TWENTY FIVE MILLION BUCKS. SO THAT'S A PRETTY TALL ORDER. WELL, HOW DO YOU HOW DO YOU HOW DO YOU PAY FOR THAT? SO RIGHT NOW THE GROUP THAT DID THE ASSESSMENT ON THE POOL WHEN WE MET WITH THEM I ASKED FOR A GOOD BETTER BEST GOOD BEING HOW DO WE GET ANOTHER FIVE TO SEVEN YEARS OUT OF THE POOL? THAT'S THE GOOD THE BETTER IS HOW DO WE MAKE THE POOLS USABLE LONG TERM ASSUMING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT IS GOING TO WANT TO RENEW THEIR LEASE IN TWENTY TWENTY FIVE THEY'VE INDICATED TO US THAT THEY CERTAINLY WANT TO DO THAT BECAUSE THEY TRAIN THE SECOND HOUSE SWIM AND THEN BEST WOULD BE ALL OF THE ABOVE. RIGHT.

SO THAT'S KIND OF WHERE WE ARE WITH THE POOL AS FAR AS SPECIFICS ON HOW WE'RE GONNA PAY FOR ALL THAT. WE DON'T KNOW YET BUT WE DO KNOW WHAT THE NEED IS AND WE'RE DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN TO KEEP THE POOLS OPEN FOR AS LONG AS WE CAN TO HELP IT DOES.

[00:15:07]

I WAS CURIOUS ABOUT WHEN THAT WASTE EXPIRED AND OBVIOUSLY THE THE THE GENESIS OF THAT HAPPENING HOWEVER MANY YEARS AGO WAS DROWNING IN THE COMMUNITY.

ABSOLUTELY. AND SO I'VE BEEN ON THIS BOARD FOR A FAIR AMOUNT OF TIME AND THE COSTS OF MAINTENANCE AND MAINTAINING POOLS IS SIGNIFICANT.

SO YOU KNOW, I WOULD HOPE THAT IN ANY DISCUSSION WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT THAT WE WOULD LOOK IN TERMS OF THAT LEADS BEING SOMETHING THAT CAN HOPEFULLY HELP US KIND OF COVER OUR COSTS THERE BECAUSE I THINK WE REALLY YOU KNOW, IF WE REALLY DIG DEEP IN HERE, WE'VE GOT A BIG NUMBER THAT WE HAVE TO FIND AND I'M NOT SO SURE WE KNOW 100 PERCENT OF WHAT THAT IS. YEAH, WELL WE REALLY DON'T. AND ANYTIME YOU LOOK AT IT LIKE AN AQUATIC CENTER OR OR WHAT I SAY WE BUILT TWENTY FIVE MILLION DOLLAR FACILITY THERE OPERATING EXPENSES THAT GO ALONG WITH THAT. SO THAT'S THAT'S KIND OF UNDERSTOOD IF YOU BUILD IT YOU HAVE TO RUN IT. RIGHT.

AND THAT BECOMES A RECURRING ITEM IN EVERY BUDGET YEAR AFTER THAT.

SO THAT'S THAT WILL BE CONSIDERED. YES.

BECAUSE I DO KNOW THAT EACH SCHOOL HAS A SWAN TEAM. RIGHT.

AND SO YOU KNOW, THE LOCATIONS ON THE SCHOOL PROPERTIES MADE SENSE AT ONE TIME FOR ALL OF THAT. BUT YOU KNOW, IT MAY GET TO A POINT AND I'M SURE THAT EVERYONE'S GOING TO LOOK AT WHERE THAT LARGER EXPENSE BECOMES CASH FLOW SUFFICIENT ON ITS OWN OR AT LEAST PAYS FOR 60 PERCENT VERSUS TWENTY FIVE PERCENT OF IT.

SURE. YOU KNOW WHEN YOU LOOK AT TWENTY TWO YEARS AGO THIS IS VERY DIFFERENT PLACE. CERTAINLY YOU LOOK AT THE DYNAMIC GROWTH THAT'S TAKEN PLACE ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF . THE DEMAND FOR ADDITIONAL LANES BECAUSE OF ALL THE SWIMMING TEAMS DIFFERENT THINGS. IT'S THERE AND IT'S OUTGROWN THE FACILITIES.

SO PART OF THE MASTER PLAN. THANKS FOR COMING OUT ATTENDING THE MEETINGS, LETTING THE MASTER PLAN CONTRACTOR KNOW HEY, THIS NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED ONCE WE GET ALL OF THAT WE GET THE MASTER PLAN. THEN WE START THE DISCUSSION OF HOW WE PRIORITIZE AND PAY FOR ALL OF THESE NEEDS. SO SO IS OUR PART OF THE MASTER PLAN.

WE ABSOLUTELY COULD. ABSOLUTELY. THANKS.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. >> QUALTRICS BRANCH AND WORK IN IT HAS TO BE APPROVED THROUGH

[7E. BUCKWALTER EXPANSION UPDATE]

THE TOWN OF BLUFFTON. THE MASTER PLAN HAS TO BE RE APPROVED BECAUSE AS IT'S BEEN MENTIONED BEFORE THE WETLANDS TOOK OVER A LOT OF THE LAND COUNTY WAS LAST DRAW PERMIT SO EVERYTHING WAS BUILT AROUND IT. SO EVERYTHING'S KIND OF BEEN TAKEN OVER WITH WETLANDS.

THIS IS OUR EXISTING THREE SOCCER FIELDS. THIS WILL BE THE MUCH NEEDED ADDITIONAL PARKING. THIS WILL BE TWO MORE ADDITIONAL SOCCER FIELD HERE.

AND THEN WHEN YOU COME INTO THE CIRCLE THIS WILL BE INSTEAD OF THE BASEBALL COMPLEX THAT WE WERE HOPING FOR. THAT GOT TAKEN OVER WITH THE WETLANDS.

THIS WILL BE TWO MORE ADDITIONAL SOCCER FIELDS THAT HOPEFULLY WE CAN RUN ADULT SPORTS ON AND KEEP THEM KIND SEPARATED FROM THE YOUTH SPORTS .

THIS IS AT THE END THAT RUNS ALONG THE FORTY. >> AND THIS IS THE TENNIS COMPLEX THAT HAS BEEN PROPOSED WITH A VERY LARGE TENNIS CENTER UPSTAIRS TO HOLD A VERY LARGE MEETING ROOM. WE HAVE DAILY REQUESTS FOR MEETINGS AT ABOUT WALTER AND BUCK. WALTER IS NOW GETTING VERY BUSY WITH DANCE CLASSES, YOGA CLASSES IN CLASSES AND STUFF LIKE THAT. SO WE'VE ASKED FOR THIS TO BE A SECOND STORY MEETING FACILITY TYPE THING. WHERE IS THAT? THERE WAS A BIG TENNIS TOURNAMENT WHICH WE EXPECT WILL HAPPEN PROBABLY PRETTY OFTEN.

THEY CAN ALSO HAVE A LARGER MEETING SPACE AS WELL. THIS PARTICULAR WE ARE GOING TO MOVE. THIS IS THE MAINTENANCE SHED AND THERE WAS SOME ADDITIONAL PARKING THAT WAS KIND OF BACK HERE. SO WE'RE GOING TO TRY TO MOVE THE MAINTENANCE SHED BACK. YOU'RE KIND OF OUT OF YOU. SO THE MASTER PLAN UPDATE.

[7F. MASTER PLAN UPDATE]

SO ON MONDAY WE HAD OUR MASTER PLANNING MEETING AT WALTER ON TUESDAY WE HAD OUR MASTER PLAN MEETING AT BURTON WELLS AND THEN WENT TO DALE AFTERWORDS AND LAST NIGHT WE HAD OUR

[00:20:04]

MASTER PLAN MEETING AT SCOTT. AND NEXT THURSDAY WE HAVE OUR MASTER PLAN MEETING AT THEN BROWN IN AND THAT WILL INCLUDE CONCLUDE ALL THE PUBLIC MEETINGS THAT ARE OPEN.

BUT WALTER WENT VERY WELL. IT WAS A LOT OF PEOPLE CAME OUT FOR PICK OF ALL A LOT OF PEOPLE CAME OUT FOR SWIM. WE HAD A FEW PEOPLE THAT CAME OUT FOR SOCCER FIELDS THAT WERE UNAWARE OF WHAT'S BEING BUILT. AND THEN WE HAD A LOT OF WRITE FOR THE NEED OF BASEBALL BECAUSE AS WE KNOW NORTH ABROAD WE HAVE PLENTY OF FIELDS SOUTH OF BROAD.

WE'RE VERY LIMITED TO THE POINT THAT WE'RE PROBABLY GOING TO HAVE TO CAP REGISTRATION AT SOME POINT BECAUSE OF THE FIELDS AND THE ADULT SOFTBALL AS WELL AS THE ADULT KICKBALL ARE GROWING. WE ARE NOW GOING TO TAKE THE ADULT KICKBALL.

ONE OF THE SEASONS FOR THAT TO SAY TIME USE OF THE FIELD AND DO ADULT DODGEBALL.

SO TO TRY TO SEE IF WE CAN TAKE SOME HEAT OFF OF THE FIELD. BURTON WELL WELL WE PICK A BALL OUT THERE AGAIN AND SOME TENNIS OUT THERE. WE HAD SOME BASEBALL PEOPLE OUT THERE. SO WE HAVE REALLY WELL. DALE COMMUNITY CENTER WENT WELL. THERE WAS TALKS TRYING TO GET MORE SENIOR ACTIVITY OUT THERE WHICH YOU KNOW IS SOMETHING THAT WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON ANYWAY.

SO YOU KNOW THAT WAS A PLUS. THE STAFF MEETING IN IT WAS PRETTY HEATED.

YOU KNOW, A LOT OF THEIR CONCERNS HAVE ALREADY BEEN ADDRESSED AND YOU KNOW.

BUT AT THESE MEETINGS IT'S NOT ONE OF THOSE SITUATIONS WHERE WE CAN STAND UP AND SAY BECAUSE THE CONSULTANTS WON'T LISTEN TO WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR. SO A LOT OF THEIR CONCERNS THE RESURFACING OF THE COURT'S STUFF LIKE THAT THAT'S ALREADY BEEN IN THE WORKS.

VIDEOS HAVE BEEN DONE FOR MONTHS ON THAT. THEY'VE BEEN WAITING ON THE WEATHER TO WARM BACK UP WHICH THANKFULLY HAS. SO HE'S ALREADY SCHEDULING TO COME THIS MONTH TO DO THOSE GLORIA POTS AND THE REST THE COURTS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY.

SO CHARLES LEN BROWN SHOULD BE PRETTY GOOD. THEY'VE BEEN TO MOST EVERY MEETING AND THEIR BIGGEST CONCERNS ARE THEY WANT TO SEE BUCK WALTER TYPE FACILITY MORE CENTRALLY LOCATED IN THE BEAUFORT AREA. SO WHICH MOST OF US AGREE TO THAT LIKE CHUCK SAID THEN YOU HAVE TO FIGURE WHERE THE STUFF IS GOING TO COME FROM.

HAVE YOU BEEN SEEING THE SAME PEOPLE IN ALL THE MEETINGS? THEY'VE BEEN REPRESENTATIVE THERE IS THE ENTITY. I MEAN THAT FACILITY A FEW DIFFERENT PEOPLE BUT FOR THE MOST PART. WE'VE SEEN A LOT OF THE SAME PEOPLE AT EACH OF THE MEETINGS . THE PLAY FOR COUNTY DOT.COM IS THE WEB SITE.

IT'S UP IT WILL BE UP THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THIST IT.

IT'S GOT ALL THE INFORMATION. THERE WILL BE A WHAT THEY'RE DOING IS SENDING OUT ABOUT 2000 SURVEYS THROUGHOUT COUNTY. THEY'RE JUST RAN. THEY'D GO OUT RANDOMLY.

THEY HAVE A SURVEY HAPPENING THAT HANDLES THAT NOT EVERYONE WILL GET A SURVEY BUT THEY WILL HAVE A SURVEY MONKEY OF THE SAME SURVEY ON THIS WEB SITE THAT EVERYBODY CAN GO IN AND AND USE. THEY DON'T USE THE SURVEY MONKEY.

THEY USE THE RESULTS BUT NOT AS HIGH AS THEY USE THE MAIL RESULTS BECAUSE YOU KNOW, ANYBODY CAN GET 10 OF THEIR FRIENDS FROM GEORGIA TO GO THERE AND DO IT.

SO THEY LOOK AT IT BUT IT DOESN'T WEIGH AS HEAVY AS THE MAIL OUT.

MARKS THE 16TH AT 1 PM SENT EACH OF YOU TODAY A ZOO MEETING REQUEST.

THAT IS THE PARKS AND RIGHT BOARD MEETING WITH THE CONSULTANTS AND WITH WOODEN PARTNERS AND PRO CONSULTING ME LIKE BOUGHT WE'LL BE AT THE MEETING.

HE WILL BASICALLY GO THROUGH THE SAME THING WITH YOU EYES THAT HE HAS WITH STAFF AS WELL AS THE COMMUNITY MEETINGS AND LISTEN TO YOUR CONCERNS THOUGHTS THAT YOU HAVE AND ASK FOR YOUR INPUT AS WELL. AND SO IF EACH OF YOU COULD MAKE SURE THAT YOU PUT THAT DOWN, IT WILL BE AMAZING. AND TRY AND ATTEND THE MEETING AT THAT POINT IN TIME WHEN WE GET ANY FEEDBACK FROM THEM AS TO WHAT HAPPENS SO FAR AT ALL THIS.

THIS IS JUST ANOTHER TEST OF THE SURVEY GROUP. THEY'LL MEET WITH YOU GUYS AND

[00:25:05]

THEN THEY'LL MEET WITH THE HILTON HEAD FOLKS. AND THEN THAT WILL CONCLUDE MOST OF THEIR. THEY DO INVENTORY. THEY HAVE MET AND I SPENT TWO DAYS ON THE ROAD WITH THEM TOURING EVERY SINGLE FACILITY AND GOING INSIDE LETTING THEM TAKE PICTURES LOOKING AT SAYING THE NEEDS, THE WANTS AND THEY LISTEN TO EVERYTHING.

THEY MET WITH STAFF TO SEE THE STAFF HAVE THEY MET WITH MAINTENANCE ADMIN STAFF PROGRAMS, STAFF ALL. AND THAT BECAME A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION LAST NIGHT BECAUSE THE SCOUT COMMUNITY FELT LIKE THAT SOMEBODY WAS LEFT OUT OF THAT.

BUT THAT WAS A ANOTHER STEP OF THIS PROCESS. IT WASN'T LEAVING ANYONE OUT OF THOSE GROUP DISCUSSIONS. IT WAS BASICALLY TO MEET WITH STAFF TO SAY DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT TO CUT THE GRASS? DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE OFFICE SPACE THAT YOU NEED? WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BEING GIVEN? YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF PHONE CALLS DO YOU GET? JUST ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT THEY FELT LIKE STAFF NEEDED TO TELL THEM THAT THEY COULD WEIGH IN ON THE MASTER PLAN. ARE YOU ADEQUATELY STAFFED? DO YOU NEED STAFF? WELL, I THINK THERE IS A TENDENCY FOR MOST PEOPLE WHO ARE USERS OF RECREATION TO VIEW THE MASTER PLAN AS BEING WHAT IS THAT WHAT GOOD FACILITIES ARE WE'RE GOING TO HAVE AND WHAT PROGRAMS WE'RE GOING TO HAVE AND THEY LOSE SIGHT OF THE FACT THAT WE HAVE TO HAVE PEOPLE IN PLACE AND THEY HAVE TO HAVE THE RESOURCES TO IMPLEMENT THE THINGS WE'RE DOING NOW AS WELL AS THINGS OF THE FUTURE. AND SO I THINK THERE'S A TENDENCY FOR PEOPLE TO NOT SEE THE BIG PICTURE. SO YOU KNOW, THAT'S THAT'S ONE OF THE THINGS THAT I EXPLAINS TO PEOPLE, YOU KNOW THAT THIS IS A FIVE TO 10 YEAR PLAN.

THIS IS WHAT WE LAY OUT. YOU KNOW, WE LISTEN SUGGESTIONS.

WE LISTEN TO THE THINGS WE LOOK AT THE THINGS YOU KNOW, WE LOOK AT EVERYTHING.

WE LOOK AT WHAT YOU OWN, WHAT YOU LEASE, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU RENT, WHAT YOU BOUGHT.

THEY LOOK AT EVERYTHING. SO YOU KNOW ALL THAT GOES BACK INTO THE STUDY AND IS PRESENTED YOU FOR COUNCIL'S APPROVAL AND THAT WILL COME LATER ON. DO WE HAVE ANY.

CAN YOU SAID THEY'RE GOING TO SEND OUT TWO THOUSAND SERVICE, RIGHT.

SO ARE THEY JUST GOING TO RANDOM HOMEOWNERS OR ARE PROPER AND HE EXPLAINED THAT HE'LL EXPLAIN THAT BELONG IN THE MEETING. BUT YES, BASICALLY THEY HIRE OF A COMPANY THAT RANDOMLY SENDS THAT OUT BECAUSE I I WOULD THINK THAT IN GENERAL THAT WOULD MAKE SENSE TO SEND SURVEYS TO PEOPLE WHO ARE USING OUR SERVICES AS WELL AS OTHERS, YOU KNOW. SO AND THEY DO THAT AND THEN THEY THEY FOLLOW UP WITH PHONE CALLS. SO THEY THEY REALLY GO OUT TO TRY AND MAKE SURE THAT THESE SURVEYS COME BACK TO THEM. AND SO ONCE THAT COMES BACK THEN HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BEFORE WE GET THE REPORT ON HOW LONG IT'LL BE ON THE WEB SITE? IT'LL BE LEFT UP FOR A WHILE.

IT'LL BE LEFT OUT. ONE OF THE OTHER THINGS THAT WE LEARNED THROUGH NEELA IS THEY HAVE A APP THAT WE ARE LOOKING AT NOW. I'VE SPOKEN WITH ERIC ABOUT IT THE OTHER NIGHT. IT'S CALLED HAPPY FEET. IT'S SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE THAT HAS DONE THE MASTER PLANS WITH THEM SEEMS TO TO LIKE CAN UTILIZE AND BASICALLY EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT GOES INTO A PARK FACILITY CENTER THEY CAN SAY WHAT MADE THEM HAPPY IN THE PARK TODAY? WHAT MADE THEM MAD AT THE PARK TODAY? THERE WAS A BROKEN WATER FOUNTAIN. THERE'S NO NEED FOR PARKING SO IT WILL ALLOW US TO IMMEDIATELY GET THINGS THAT GO ON AT THE PARK ALL THE TIME WILL COME TO OUR EMAIL. WE'LL BE ABLE TO QUICKER FACILITATE REPAIRS THAN WAITING ON SOMEONE ELSE TO REPORT SOMEBODY KIDS REPORTED THAT NIGHT.

WE CAN FACILITATE REPAIR. SO THAT'S ONE OF THE THINGS THAT YOU'LL SEE HERE SHORTLY.

HE SENT THE INFORMATION TODAY THAT WE'RE GONNA MOVE FORWARD WITH AS WELL.

EURO FIRST OF ALL I'D LIKE THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO DO THIS PRESENTATION.

UPON REQUEST AT OUR REQUEST I'M TALKING TO MY KIDS ABOUT THE HIGH SCHOOL ASSOCIATION.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN AROUND THE BLUFFTON AREA PARTICULARLY ON GO ROAD.

[00:30:03]

MIKE SERRANO. YEAH. IN ADDITION TO THE SOFTBALL BASEBALL COMPLEX AND THE BASKETBALL COMPLEX TO THE EXTREME RIGHT.

I GUESS THAT WOULD BE HEADED SOUTH ON GORDY ROAD. YOUR HAIL DEMOCRACY RALLY THE FORMER HIGH SCHOOL MAKES A RALLY COMMEMORATIVE GARDEN AND WALL THERE AND WHILE WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF DOING THIS TO REVITALIZE REFURBISH THE AREA WHICH IN ESSENCE WILL NOT ONLY ENHANCE THAT FACILITY INSIDE BUT ALSO ENHANCE THE ENTIRE MAKE ZERO RECREATION COMPLEX AS WELL. I SPOKE WITH ALL PERMITTING HAS BEEN DONE WITH A GOOD PLAN ABOUT BEAUFORT COUNTY ALSO BLUFFTON TOWNSHIP REQUIRED A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PROMISE AS WELL. SO WE HAVE GOTTEN ALL OF THAT DONE.

WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TWO EVENTS IN PARTICULAR AT TO SAY ONE IS GOING TO BE A FUNDRAISING EVENT AND THAT'S GONNA BE A RADIO TELETHON FUNDRAISER WHICH IS SCHEDULED FOR MAY 28 AND IT'S GOING TO BE HELD RIGHT ON SITE THERE. AND WE HAVE REQUESTED USAGE FOR THAT PURPOSE AND THE SECOND BAND IS GOING TO BE ALL OF THE CLASH WITH UNION WHICH TO DO FOR LABOR DAY SEPTEMBER 5TH, 2022. AND I'VE SPOKEN WITH AS I MADE REQUESTS THROUGH COME THROUGH THE CONTRACT THAT I SENT TO THE BACK WALL SAY.

I THINK I CERTAINLY GET YEAH. THANK YOU. EVIL I ASK HER TO PLEASE LET ME

KNOW. >> TO QUOTE ME WHAT IT WOULD BE, WHAT FEES WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO USE IT. AND SHE INDICATED IT WOULD BE FIVE HUNDRED AS PART OF YOUR STATES. AND I'M HERE TODAY TO ASK YOU TO NOT TO SET A PRECEDENT IN OUR BEHALF BUT TO WAIVE THOSE FEES FOR US BECAUSE WE INDEED INDEED NONPROFIT AND WE SIMPLY DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY. I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE RECREATION USE.

IT DOESN'T SELL IT AT FEES. I JUST WANT THOSE FEES TO BE WAY FOR US AT THIS PARTICULAR REQUEST. THEY'RE ENHANCING OUR PART, RIGHT? YEAH. AND I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS, SIR. WAS SHANNON IN HER GROUND STAFF PART OF THE DESIGN PLAN SO THAT THE PLANTS THAT GO IN THERE SHE HAD HER STAFF HAS THE ABILITY TO KEEP UP WHEN HE CALLED ME PUT HIM IN TOUCH WITH JACK. FACILITY MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT. HE HAS BEEN GOT EVERYTHING. SO RECREATIONAL BOTTOM 54 COUNTY WE TOOK ALL NECESSARY STEPS FOR ARE THERE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THEM UTILIZING THIS? OBVIOUSLY THEY'RE IMPROVING THE AREA THAT IS THERE.

IS THERE ANY COST ASSOCIATED WITH THESE SPECIFIC REQUESTS THAT THE COUNTY WOULD HAVE TO INCUR AS FAR AS TRASH REMOVAL AND EVERYTHING LIKE THAT? OR IS IT ESSENTIALLY A WASH? I THINK YOU GUYS WHEN WE IT PUTS IT ISSUE TO DO TRASH REMOVAL IN THE RESTAURANT.

THERE'S NO OVERHEAD FROM THE COUNTY PERSPECTIVE, CORRECT? NO, NO.

WE CLEAN THE RESTROOMS ANYWAY EVERY DAY SO IT WOULD BE NOTHING DIFFERENT THAN WHAT WE DO EACH DAY. AND WHEN WE'RE TALKING MICHAEL C. REILLY FOUR FOR EACH FOR EACH OF THESE EVENTS. YES, SIR. THANK YOU.

IS THE IS IS THE WHAT SITE ARE YOU GOING TO NEED? ARE YOU GOING TO NEED THE ENTIRE SITE FOR A RADIO TELEPHONE? WE ONLY GOT A NAME YOU SAY SO THE BASKETBALL COURT BECAUSE THE RADIO TELEPHONE CAN BE SET UP RIGHT ON THE COURSE.

OK. OBVIOUSLY AS PEOPLE COME IN ALSO TO OBVIOUSLY WE GOT ANY ABUSES OF THE RESTROOMS. YEAH, CERTAINLY. YEAH.

AND THAT THAT WOULD OCCUR FOR IN TERMS OF RESTROOM USE IN WOULD OCCUR FOR BOTH EVENTS THE WHOLE CLASS YOU AGAIN. WE'RE GOING TO USE THIS FOR FOR THE ENTIRE SITE INCLUDING BECAUSE IT'S GOING TO BE JUST INVASION OF BIG TAILGATING TYPE PARTY GOING TO SET UP THESE EACH GRADUATING CLASS GOING TO HAVE THEIR OWN TENTS THAT ARE GOING TO HAVE TENTS ALL OVER THE PLACE. YEAH. AND THE ONLY THING WE WOULD HAVE TO CONCERN OURSELVES WITH THAT IS MAKE SURE THAT THERE WAS NO STAKES WHERE THEY IRRIGATION IS MY ONLY CONCERN AND I'M GOING TO TURN THE MAP BECAUSE I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT YOU WERE GOING TO DO THE TELL UP ON THERE. MY ONLY CONCERN THAT IT'S GOING TO BE THAT IS A SATURDAY MAY THE 28 IS BASEBALL SEASON BECAUSE THE PARKING THERE IS

[00:35:02]

REALLY BAD AND THE SECOND PARKING LOT HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY FROM US FOR CONSTRUCTION THAT'S GOING ON THE SEWAGE DOWN. MICHAEL C. RALEIGH TALKING ABOUT THE ONE THAT'S FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD IN THE BACK WAY THERE IS THERE IS STILL SOME PARKING VERY LIMITED UP AROUND

THIS COMMEMORATIVE AREA. >> IT IS BUT SATURDAY THERE THERE PARKED ALL DOWN THERE.

I THINK I'M NOT REALLY SURE BECAUSE WE CHECK THOSE PARTICULAR DATES.

YEAH, I THINK THAT MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. YES.

YEAH. HEY. I DON'T THINK THAT'S LATER IN THE SEASON. SO WE'RE PRETTY MUCH DONE. OK, THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID NO MORE THAT WE GET. YEAH WE'RE GOOD. WHAT ABOUT.

SO YOU ARE THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ARE YOU A FIVE A ONE C THREE OR SOMETHING OR YOU JUST SAY OK OK I GAVE HER THE PAPERWORK. OK, SO WE'LL WE WILL.

WILL YOU HAVE INSURER WARRANTS FOR THAT EVENT? THEY'LL NEED TO GET IN WILL NEED TO GET AN INSURANCE POLICY FOR THAT. SO WE'RE COVERED THERE.

RIGHT. HOW DO YOU GET THROUGH YOU? OH YEAH.

HOW I CAN EXPLAIN IT. OH WELL YEAH I'LL HELP YOU BUT I THINK HAVING A COMMUNITY I MEAN THAT SITE IS OBVIOUSLY TIED TO THE SCHOOL AND AND THE PARK BEARS THE NAME AND THERE'S THE COMMEMORATIVE AREA THERE THAT COULD DEFINITELY USE SOME IMPROVEMENT.

SO AS PART OF THE HISTORY OF BLUFFTON AND SO I THINK IT'S I THINK IT'S A NEAT THING THAT YOU'RE DOING AND WOULD ONLY ENHANCE THE PARK. SO IMMERSION.

>> I MOVE THAT SUBJECT TO THIS ENTITY PROVIDING PROOF OF INSURANCE TO STAFF PRIOR TO TAKING PLACE THAT WE AGREE TO WAIVE FEES FOR BOTH OF THESE EVENTS FOR THIS ENTITY SPECIFICALLY AND ANY FUTURE REQUESTS FOR COMPARABLE REDUCTIONS OR ELIMINATION OF FEES WE'VE RUN FORWARD TO THIS BOARD FOR APPROVAL BUT IN THIS CASE THAT IS APPROVED

SUBJECT TO PROOF OF INSURANCE FRAUD. >> STAFF PROBLEM SOLVING DISCUSSION. GOOD QUESTIONS. IS THIS SOMETHING MORE CASE BY CASE BASIS SO SAY IT AGAIN. WOULD IT BE ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS? THAT WAS. THAT WAS MY MOTIONS FOR THIS. THIS IS FOR THESE TWO SPECIFIC EVENTS FOR THIS SPECIFIC ENTITY SUBJECT TO THEM PROVIDING PROOF INSURANCE TO STAFF PRIOR AND ANY FUTURE REQUEST COMPARABLE TO THIS WHETHER FROM THIS ENTITY OR ANY OTHER WOULD HAVE TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD. OK. IT SEEMS LIKE IT'S A WIN WIN.

OK. THANK YOU. APPRECIATE IT.

WE HAVE SOMEONE ELSE QUESTION CALLED I CALLED. GOOD QUESTION.

OK, ALL IN FAVOR OF THE MOTION IS STATED FIRST. THANK YOU.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. APPRECIATE IT. AND I'M GOING TO GO IN AND GET OUT. I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO GET A REQUIREMENT FOR YOU CAR.

ALL RIGHT. YES, SIR, IT IS. THANK YOU.

[7G. FEES WAIVED - MCRILEY AND CHURCH]

THANK YOU. WELL, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. I'LL BE VERY HONEST AND SAY THAT I WILL NOT BE GETTING UP FROM SO MANY PEOPLE AND HAVING TO SPEAK IN THIS MANNER.

BUT ALL RIGHT. FIRST I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO.

I CAN'T I DON'T KNOW HER LAST NAME. KNOW HER TALK AND SAY THAT SHE IS THE KIND OF EMPLOYEE THAT YOU WANT TO EACH OF THE PHONE IS OFF TO YOU.

AND HAVING WORKED FOR THE COUNTY AND BEING THAT VOICE FOR VETERAN AFFAIRS FOR A SHORT SEGMENT, YOU WANT TO TALK TO SOMEONE VERY NICE AND JUST TELL HER I SAID GOODBYE.

SO I REPRESENTING CROSS COMMUNITY CHURCH WE CURRENTLY MEET AT THE YMCA ON SUNDAY'S 9 O'CLOCK AND WE BUY THE SERVICE THE MINISTRY SYSTEM AND THEN THIS ISN'T TO OUR LEAD PASTOR AND I WILL MAKE IT VERY SHORT. I AM HERE BECAUSE WE PRAISE THE LORD ARE BUILDING A FACILITY AND WE'RE BREAKING GROUND ON MARCH 6 OF THIS COMING SUNDAY AND WE HAVE THE PROPERTY BY THE SHOP WHEN PARK IT'S ONE HAMRICK DRIED PURCHASED 14 ACRES THAT THERE AND WE'RE GOING TO DROP GROUND SERVICE LIKE I MENTIONED WE HAVE SOME NEIGHBORS IN THE AREA WHO ARE GONNA LET OUR CONGREGATION PARK BUT WE ARE JUST ANTICIPATING THAT THERE WILL BE A PRETTY BIG SHOW OUT.

SO WE WERE JUST THINKING WELL WHERE ARE SOME OTHER PLACES THAT YOU CAN PARK AS WELL? AND SO WE THOUGHT ABOUT THE SHELL POINT PARK BEING ABLE TO USHER PEOPLE INTO OUR PROPERTY AND SO I'M HERE THIS AFTERNOON AFTER SPEAKING EVEN AS SHE MENTIONED THAT IT WAS LIKE 500

[00:40:01]

FEET AND NOT THAT WE WHERE WE ARE OF COURSE ABLE TO BE HAPPY TO COMPLY.

BUT I JUST WANTED TO COME THIS AFTERNOON AND JUST ASK. WE JUST WANT TO USE THE PARKING LOT FROM LIKE 30 30 TO ABOUT 430 AND JUST THE PARKING LOT. WE'RE NOT GOING TO BE USED IN THE PARK. JUST FOR FOLKS TO BE ABLE TO WALK TO OUR PROPERTY.

AND SO THAT IS THAT IS WHAT I'M HERE REQUESTING THAT THOSE 500 PHOEBE WAIVED OR BECAUSE I'M IN MY MIND I'M THINKING SO LOGISTICS HOW MANY SHARES THAT WOULD GET US AND OUR FACILITY THAT FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS AND IF WE DON'T HAVE TO THEN BY ALL MEANS BUT IF WE DO THEN WE'LL DO WHAT WE HAVE TO DO. BUT THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AGAIN.

YOU'RE TALKING ONE HOUR OF PUBLIC USE OVER BURCU IN ORDER FOR YOU IN YOUR BUILDING A FACILITY THERE WOULD YOU BE CONTIGUOUS TO THE PARK WHEN YOUR FACILITY IS BUILT? WE WANT GARBAGE WHICH WE'LL BE NEIGHBORS. WE WILL BE NEIGHBORS BUT WE'LL HAVE PLENTY OF PARKING. OK. OK.

BUT WE WILL BE NEIGHBORS. SO WHO'S TO SAY WHAT THAT COULD LOOK LIKE IN THE FUTURE FOR YOU MEAN MAYBE SOME SORT OF EVENT THAT REALLY YOU'RE YOU'RE JUST ASKING TO USE OUR PARKING FOR AN HOUR FOR YOUR GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY? YES, SIR.

AND ANY LOGISTICAL INPUT FROM STAFF AS IT MAY OR MAY NOT HINDER YOU AND OTHERS THINGS GOING ON? I DON'T THINK IT'S SUNDAY ON SUNDAY AND I DID TALK TO EITHER AND SHE TOOK HER CONCERNS LESS CAPABLE WHICH I REALIZE I PICK ABOUT WAS PRETTY POPULAR.

I HAD NO IDEA THAT SHE'S THAT BIG A BALL IS USUALLY WRAPPED UP BY THAT TIME.

SO OUR GROUNDBREAKING IS UNTIL 430 BOBBY ANTICIPATE PEOPLE ARRIVING AROUND 30 40 TO KIND OF PARK. AND WALK ON OVER AND IT'S GOING TO BE ABOUT 40 MINUTES OR.

I DON'T THINK THERE'LL BE AN ISSUE AT ALL. MY COMMOTION THE THAT THEY WILL HAVE TO USE THE CLOAKROOM UP AND EMOTION. OK.

MOTION THAT THEY USE A PARKING LOT ON THAT DAY THAT I WOULD AMEND THE MOTION TO STATE THAT THEY ARE PERMITTED TO USE A PARKING LOT FREE OF ANY FEE FOR THIS SPECIFIC EVENT.

>> THANK YOU SO MUCH. AND SECOND SECOND HOME FAVORITE FIVE HUNDRED HERE I ON.

AND WE WILL ALLOW YOU TO LEAVE TO SHARE YOU WOULD LIKE TO STAY MORE OF THEM.

THANK YOU FOR THAT. I WILL DEPART. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR SO I

[7H. BAORD UPDATE - MIKE MANESIOTIS]

FOUND THIS LOVELY PICTURE OF MY FUTURE. I DIDN'T HAVE A PICTURE OF HIS

HERITAGE HERE AND I REALLY ALL I COULD FIND ANYWAYS. >> SO MIKE SENT BRUCE AN E-MAIL AND I BELIEVE HE'S JOINING THE ISLAND THE TOWN OF HILTON HEAD RECREATION COMMISSION FELT LIKE IT WOULD BE A CRIME FLICK OF INTEREST SO AFTER I THINK IT WAS TWENTY ONE OR TWENTY THREE YEARS I LOOKED UP TWENTY ONE YEARS HE IS STEPPING DOWN OFF AT THE PARKS BOARD.

I'VE WORKED WITH HIM ALL THESE YEARS SO IT'S GONNA BE STRAIGHT .

IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN. YEAH. YEAH.

HAVING LIKE I SAID I'VE BEEN HERE TWENTY ONE YEARS. OH MY MIKE'S GONNA BE HARD TO REPLACE. HE'S A GOOD GUY HE'S AND HE'S STILL GOING TO BE WORKING AS HE ALWAYS DOES FOR BEAUFORT COUNTY EVEN THOUGH HE'S GONNA BE WITH THE TOWN AND FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE WHOLE COMMUNITY. I DID SPEAK WITH HIM. HE COULDN'T MAKE IT TODAY BUT I DID YES THAT HE COME AT OUR NEXT MEETING SO WE COULD RECOGNIZE AND HE SAID THAT HE COULD DO THAT AND WE HAVE FACED HIM. WE CAN'T REPLACE RIGHT NOW.

WELL, THAT'S OK. MY SISTER SEE MATT RECOMMENDED THAT WE ASK WHAT ARCENEAUX TO APPLY FOR THE POSITION AND HE WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO OIL THE RIGHT GUY.

HE WILL BE VERY VOCAL AND HELPFUL AND HAS BEEN HE SERVED ON THE BLUFFTON YOUTH BOARD FOR A VERY LONG TIME. HE'S VERY INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY AND IS AN EXTREMELY HARD WORKER. SO I THINK THAT HE WILL BE A BENEFIT THAT I THINK HE WILL BE A GOOD REPLACEMENT IN THAT CITY. SO IT WOULD BE APPROVED AND SEATED BY OUR NEXT MEETING MONDAY. SO IT GOES TO COMMITTEE ON MONDAY THEN THE FOLLOWING MONDAY IT WILL GO TO COUNCIL AND SUPPORT READING IT.

YES, I KNOW HIM BUT THE NEXT MAIN MEETING HE WILL BE ABLE TO JOIN US.

YEAH. AND THE GOOD NATE. YEAH.

[8A. REGISTRATION NUMBERS]

[00:45:05]

JUST GIVE ME A RUNDOWN OF WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON WITH OUR ATHLETICS SPECIFICALLY BASEBALL SEASON WENT PRETTY WELL BOTH BEAUFORT AND BLUFFTON.

WE HAVE SOME DISTRICT TOURNAMENTS LAST WEEK IN BLUFFTON FOR CERTAIN AGE GROUPS OR A BOY WHO'S ACTUALLY WON ONE OF THE AGE GROUPS AND. ALL RIGHT.

YOU GIRLS BOTH AND BE BLUFFS AND THERE'S MANY OF YOU GIRLS PROGRAMS ACROSS THE STATE.

SO THEY AUTOMATICALLY ADVANCE. THERE WAS NO DISTRICT PLAY. SO THEY'RE BOTH ARE ALL THROUGH THOSE TEAMS ARE GOING TO MYRTLE BEACH THIS SATURDAY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE STATE TOURNAMENT. SO IT'LL BE A GOOD EVENT. UNFORTUNATELY THERE'S A MARATHON GOING ON IN MYRTLE BEACH THIS WEEKEND SO IT'S GOING TO BE A PRETTY PRETTY HIGH TRAFFIC. BUT ANY WAY THAT WOULD THEY SHOULD HAVE A GOOD TIME GOING DOWN THERE. GOOD LUCK LIKE WE HAVE SOME JUST PICTURE HERE AS YOU BOYS THAT MOVED ON THE STATE AFTER WINNING DISTRICTS A LOT OF MORE EITHER TEN OR ELEVEN KIDS ARE A LOT BIGGER THESE DAYS IT SEEMS. AND THERE ARE 22 GIRLS ACTUALLY WERE RUNNER UP IN THE DISTRICT FROM BLUFFTON. SO THERE'S THE TOP TWO GIRLS PICTURE.

SO YOU BOYS COACHED THEMSELVES, RIGHT? I GUESS DIDN'T WANT PROBABLY GET OUT AND SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION. MOST OF OUR SPORTS REGISTRATIONS ARE WITH FILLING IN SOME OF OUR AGE GROUPS BUT IT'S BEEN A GREAT SEASON FOR US. THE NUMBERS HAVE EXPLODED. YOUTH BASEBALL RUNDOWN WOULD BE FOR FIRST YOUTH BASEBALL IS UP ABOUT 60 KIDS. WE HAVE 280 SIGNED UP FOR YOUTH BASEBALL FLAG FOOTBALL AS YOU ALL KNOW THERE'S IT'S TWO OR THREE YEARS SINCE WE COULD EVER EVEN GET THAT LEAGUE OFF THE GROUND AND BEAUFORT AND NOW WE HAVE 100 KIDS PLAYING AND THAT'S NICE HAVING TO GO UP AGAINST A LOT OF DIFFERENT UP OR BACK UP SPORTS.

YOU KNOW THEY HAVE THEIR FLAG FOOTBALL PROGRAM ON. SO IT'S REALLY THAT THAT'S GROWING. SOCCER LIKE TWO YEARS AGO ANYTHING WE HAD 300 KIDS PLAYING. NOW WE HAVE 475 SIGNED UP FOR THIS SEASON.

SO IT'S GOING REALLY WELL. AND YOU SAW FOOTBALL EVEN YOU KNOW, WE USUALLY ARE SCROUNGING TO GET ONE OR TWO TEAMS AND WE 64 SIGNED UP. WE HAVE THREE AGE GROUPS INSTEAD OF JUST ONE OR TWO. NOW WITH ONE TEAM. WE HAVE MULTIPLE TEAMS IN A COUPLE WAYS WORSE THAN ONE 70 YEAR OLD GIRLS DOING THAT SINCE I'VE BEEN HERE FIVE YEARS.

WE HAVE TO BE ABLE TO GET ENOUGH GIRLS TO SIGN GIVES OR WANT TO PLAY ALLEGING AS SOON AS ONE HUNDRED NINE TWO MORE KIDS SIGN UP TO PLAY THOSE SPORTS THIS YEAR COMPARED TO LAST SEASON LAST SPRING SEASON THAT IS ALMOST 20 PERCENT AND THEN BOTH IS NO DIFFERENT.

>> BASEBALL NUMBERS WERE A LITTLE DOWN LAST YEAR. I THINK WE HAD AROUND 40 AND 40 KIDS SIGNED UP AS YOU CAN SEE. I MEAN ALMOST 100 KIDS MORE THAN LAST YEAR PLAYING BASEBALL IN BLUFFTON. SHANNON SPOKE TO ALMOST BURSTING AT THE SEAMS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET PRACTICES AND GAMES AND FOR YOUTH BASEBALL BLUFFTON FOOTBALL.

ARE YOU FIVE? FOOTBALL IS SEEING A TREMENDOUS TICK IN BLUFFTON AS WELL.

THAT'S KIND OF A NATIONWIDE TREND. JONAH, WE HAVE TO THINK TWO HUNDRED FIFTEEN LAST SPRING WITH TWO HUNDRED NINETY FOUR THIS SPRING AND THAT'S GOING THROUGH THE WAITING LIST PROCESS STILL WON'T BE SURPRISED BY THE OTHER 300 KIDS PLAYING LACROSSE GETS MORE STEADY. BUT WE DID STILL SAW AN INCREASE THAT WE HAD 70 LAST YEAR, 79 THIS YEAR. YOU AS YOU KNOW IS A SPECIALIZED SPORT THAT'S ONLY GETTING BIGGER IN THE SOUTH. AND SOCCER IS THE BIGGEST SPORT WE HAVE BOTH SIDES NORTH AND SOUTH. BUT BLUFFTON NUMBERS EIGHT UNDER 74 THAT'S OVER ONE HUNDRED MORE KIDS AND WE HAD LAST SPRING SEVEN UNDER 17.

AND THEN YOU SAW BOSWELL I WAS GROWING IN BLUFFTON. THEN WE HAD ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY SIGNED LAST YEAR. EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY SIX. THAT'S A GOOD SIGN.

YOU SAW POLL NUMBERS HAVE BEEN DECLINING FOR YEARS EVERYWHERE. IT'S GOOD TO SEE THAT AT LEAST IN OUR AREA WE'RE SEEING IT IMPROVE. SO YOU KNOW THE TOTAL INCREASE FROM TWO SPRING 20 ONE 307 KIDS. SO THAT'S REALLY GOOD TO SEE THAT GROWTH ON BOTH SIDES IS ATTESTED TO AND YOU KNOW, POPULATION IS ALSO TEST OUR ATHLETIC STAFF HAS REALLY DONE A GOOD JOB ORGANIZING OUR PROGRAMS AND GETTING KIDS OUT THERE THAT WANT TO PLAY IN THAT TYPE OF LEAGUE. HOW MANY DO WE HAVE IN BASKETBALL THIS YEAR? BASKETBALL I BELIEVE WE HAD ROUGHLY EIGHT HUNDRED IN BLUFFTON AND WE HAD OVER 300 IN NBA FOR WHICH THEY WERE BOTH HIGHER GROUND IN THE YEAR BEFORE WAS, YOU KNOW, INDOOR KIND, YOU KNOW, KIND OF WAS STILL REALLY IN PEOPLE'S.

WHAT I MEAN IS STILL HERE WAS MY HUSBAND BEN. IT WAS A LITTLE TOUGHER SO THEIR NUMBERS REALLY JUMPED FROM 20 21 TO 20 20 TO THAT. I SEE.

[00:50:01]

AND SOME BASKETBALL WAS GETTING BIGGER. SO IT'S GONNA BE INTERESTING TO SEE THIS SUMMER HOW MANY KIDS WE HAVE SIGNED UP FOR BASKETBALL.

IT'S AN IMMENSE BASKETBALL YOU GO. WE STARTED THE 16 WAS ACTUALLY ADVERTISED 17 GOAL. WE RARELY GET MORE THAN ONE OR TWO 17 YEAR OLDS AND DEPENDING ON THEIR CALIBER WE 13 TO 17 IS A BIG DIFFERENCE AS YOU KNOW. SO SOMETIMES IT DEPENDS ON IF WE SO A LOT OF TIMES A PARENT LONG TO PLAY BECAUSE IF THEY'RE 17 ONLY 17 OR THEY WON'T PLAY IT, THEY'RE NOT REALLY THEIR FRIENDS OR EITHER. BUT WE DO HAVE A 30 TO 60 YEAR PROGRAM. WE WILL GET SOME 60 YEAR OLDS OR INDISTINCT 18 UNDER THE STATUTE OF LIMITATION. NOW THAT'S JUST SAYING THE SAME THING.

AND WITH SCOTT THEY'RE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT DIFFERENT WAYS TO CHANGE THAT BECAUSE IT IS TOUGH. DRIVE TO DRIVE ALL THE WAY OVER HERE.

YOU COME BACK RIGHT. RYAN YEAH. AND THE DIFFICULTY THE REC LEVEL IS IS JUST, YOU KNOW, TRAVEL BALL. I THINK, YOU KNOW, PEOPLE HAVE THAT MINDSET THEY'RE WILLING TO PAY FOR RECREATION. THEY'RE NOT.

THERE'S A LOT OF AREAS LIKE CITY OF CHARLESTON, NORTH CHARLESTON JUST IN OUR DISTRICT FOR EXAMPLE, THEY PAY THEY HAVE TO BUS THEIR KIDS AND THEY PAY FOR THEIR HOTEL.

THEY PAY FOR ALL THEIR FOOD. SO THERE'S A LOT OF RECREATION PROMISES TO DO THAT.

AND IT'S REALLY TOUGH FOR THEM TO COMMIT PAYING FOR A NIGHT OR EVEN TWO NIGHTS.

SO THAT'S WHY WAS KIND OF STUCK WITH A SINGLE ELIMINATION WHEN IT COMES TO BASKETBALL, SOCCER, VOLLEYBALL AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE. BUT THEN HOW TOPIC BECAUSE THIS IS TOUGH BECAUSE I MEAN A LOT OF ART I THINK ALL OF OUR TEAMS ARE TRAVELING AT NIGHT OR EXCUSE ME FRIDAY NIGHTS STAY IN PLAY ON SATURDAY MORNING. I COACH A BASKETBALL.

IT'S TOUGH TO GO A DAY LIKE YOU SAID. YOU FIND AN OPENING GAME.

YOU COMING BACK? YOU WANT TO LOSE GOOD TOO. AND IF YOU GET SOME OF THE CAR REGISTRATIONS WE HAVE GOING ON . AND AS YOU ALL KNOW, WE HAVE THE OLDER KIDS DO NOT START PLAYING FOR YOUTH BASEBALL UNTIL AFTER THE MIDDLE SCHOOL SEASON IS OVER WITH. SO WE'RE STILL REGISTERING KIDS FOR YOUTH BASEBALL AGES 13 TO 15. THAT DOESN'T UNTIL APRIL 8TH. WE ARE TAKING OUT REGISTRATION FOR YOUTH TENNIS CLINICS BOTH IN BEAUFORT AND BLUFFTON THAT'S RUN ABOUT PUBLIC TENNIS.

WAYNE LITERALLY IN THAUP DO A REALLY GOOD JOB OF ORGANIZING THAT WE'VE PARTNERED WITH FOR YEARS

SUPER MAX LEAGUE. >> WE AT START START DISCUSSING JUST AS YOU'RE WORKING WITH THE FISHERMEN THAT WAY FOR A WHILE. IT'S NOT GOOD. IT'S NOT JUST PROFESSIONAL SITES LIKE PAUL'S AND EVERY HERO THERE HAS GOT SOMETHING THAT'S JUST SEEMS VERY LOW TO ME. INTERACTS LET ME JUST GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF SALT BEING A DOPE OR USE OR PRETTY CONSIST THAT THEY'RE A LITTLE BIT MORE EXPENSIVE TO BASE AS YOU GET A DOZEN DECENT FOR USE TO 60 BUCKS ROUGHLY 60 VOTES FOR A DOZEN NOW IS EIGHT.

SO YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, YOU KNOW, VARYING INCREASE AND PRICING FOR BASEBALL OR SALT AND BASEBALL. I'VE SEEN THAT SAME INFLATION. THEY'RE JUST NOT QUITE AS EXPENSIVE VOLLEYBALL REGISTRATION ENDS THIS FRIDAY. YOU KNOW, THAT'S INDIVIDUAL SIGNINGS. BUT THEN WE JUST PUT IT THEY THEY SIGN UP AS INDIVIDUALS BUT THEY ALSO HAVE THEIR TEAMS. THEY JUST PUT TOGETHER BUT IT'S STILL JUST AN INDIVIDUAL FEE.

YOU KNOW, THE NEXT BEATING OCCURS. WELL, WE'LL GET ALL THAT INFORMATION TO ON TO THE BOARD ON HOW SOMETIMES WE DON'T PROVIDE ANY EQUIPMENT AND STUFF. ALL OF THEM POLLS ARE CORRECT BUT WE PROVIDE OFFICIALS AND THEY ARE SO HARD TO GET NOW. AND WE HAD TO PUT IN THE BUDGET THIS YEAR TO INCREASE THEIR PAY BECAUSE IT IS JUST IMPOSSIBLE. YEAH, I MEAN ONE OF THE MAIN ONE OF THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS BOARD IS TO REVIEW FEES. SO WE NEED TO KEEP ESPECIALLY GIVEN THE INFORMATION THAT'S OUT THERE AND TRYING TO TRACK EMPLOYEES AND INCREASING COSTS.

YOU KNOW, WE HAVE TO BE ABLE TO YEAH. WE HAVE TO BE ABLE TO KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH WE ARE FUNDING AND HOW MUCH YOU KNOW, WHAT PERCENTAGE OF WHAT WE HAVE THAT WE'RE DOING IS SPACE. RIGHT. SO THAT'S SOMETHING THAT I'M JUST PUTTING ON THE RECORD HERE THAT WE NEED TO GO BACK TO THOSE AND LOOK AT THOSE.

[00:55:02]

GET A COMMITTEE TOGETHER AND I SHOULD BE A STANDING THEY SHOULD BUILD A FEED.

>> WE KNOW WE'RE GOING. WE'RE JUST REDOING CONTRACTS AT THE END OF THIS MONTH, 40 DOWN

HERE. >> ALL RIGHT. FORTY DOLLARS FOR BASED UPON WHAT WE GET OUT OF THE FED CAN ONLY GO TO THAT ROCK SO MANY TIMES AND GET SO MUCH.

>> YES, IT'S TOUGH. THEY TAKE, YOU KNOW, GREAT FACES AND THEY SAY I'M DURING THEIR MONEY. I MEAN I THINK WHAT AND THESE BASEBALL THE NUMBERS THAT COME OUT THAT THE AVERAGE AGE OF A BASEBALL SIXTY FIVE SIXTEEN IN SOME AREAS.

THAT'S RIGHT. CAUSE THEY CAN'T HEAR ANYMORE. THAT SAID THERE IS NO SITTING OUT THERE. THAT IS WHERE THE ABUSE IS GETTING TO BE A BIGGER PROBLEM.

I MEAN FEWER OFFICIALS ARE STEPPING UP. NOBODY WANTS THEY GET A 25 YEAR OLD KID OUT THERE THAT WANTS TO TRY OUT AND HE OR SHE SEES THAT AND THEY'RE LIKE I'M NOT DOING IT. PLEASE DON'T RUN AWAY FROM THE HIGH SCHOOLS.

HIGH SCHOOLS ARE NOT IN A REAL HARD TIME AND ALL SPORT IS TOGETHER PLENTY OF TIMES AND POWER. REFEREE YEAH. WE'VE HAD TO WALK HIM TO THE

CAR. >> SHE'S COMPETING IN THIS. ALL RIGHT.

THAT'S ALL I HAVE. THANK YOU. GOOD AFTERNOON.

[9A. PROGRAM UPDATES]

THIS IS FROM BARRY FREEMAN, OUR FOUR HOUR HOURS CHANGED BECAUSE OF OUR BLUFFTON POLL CLOSING.

WE'RE OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 812 AND THEN 1 IN 7 AND THEN SATURDAY SWINE FLU WILL TURN 30 TO 430. WE ALSO OFFER OUR BOGO CLASSES TUESDAYS AND THURSDAY SIX TO SIX STARTING AT OUR FRIENDS CAME THAT CAME FROM THE BLUFFTON POOLS NOW AT BETTER CREEK CRAFT AND THEY ARE FROM 430 TO 730 EVERYDAY. ONE QUESTION THE INFLATABLE USE WHEN YOU PUT THE INFLATABLES IN DID USAGE GO UP FOR THE INFLATABLES? YES. OH YEAH. YEAH.

YES. IT WOULD BE GOOD FOR US TOO. SO SATURDAY THE GUARDS ARE CALLING ME SAYING WE NEED ANOTHER GUARD BECAUSE IT'S JUST CRAZY.

SO HOW MUCH SINCE THE POOL'S BEEN CLOSED WHERE'S THE OVERFLOW GOING? IS IT GOING BOTH POOLS OR VIOLENCE? SOME PEOPLE ARE COMING TO THE BATTERY CREEK POOL BUT THEN THERE ARE PATRONS THAT ARE SAYING THAT THE DRIVER IS JUST A LITTLE TOO FAR FOR THEM. SEVERAL WE DO HAVE PEOPLE COMING JUST NOT AS MUCH AS WE WOULD HAVE HOPED THEM. AND WHAT ABOUT LESSONS FOR THE SCHOOL? IS IT OUT? ARE THOSE DONE NOW FOR THIS MATTER? SOME LESSONS CURRENTLY GOING ON AT THE POLLS AND EVERYTHING LIKE THAT.

SO THE ONES THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN GOING OUT IN BLUFFTON, WHEREVER THEY ARE, THEY HAVEN'T DECIDED TO COME OVER THERE ASKED WHERE THE OTHER POLLS ARE.

I'VE GIVEN THEM THAT INFORMATION BUT NONE OF THEM HAVE ACTUALLY SAID YES, WE WANT TO COME AND DRIVE OVER THIS SIDE. THEY ONLY GET IT DURING PE SO IT'S KIND OF A PROBLEM FOR US. I MEAN FOR THE BOOK FOR THE BLUFFTON THROUGH THE BLUFFTON STUDENTS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO SWIM LESSONS ARE JUST NOT GETTING THEM AT THIS POINT RIGHT NOW. GIVEN THAT LIKE I SAID I'VE GIVEN THEM AFTER YOU'VE MADE THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AVAILABLE THAT WEEK WE CAN ALLOCATE SPACE FOR IN THE POOLS.

SO I THINK A LOT OF THEM ARE PROBABLY DECIDING TO COME NEXT SCHOOL YEAR.

I JUST DON'T KNOW FOR ME YET. AND WE'LL LOOK AT MAKING IT UP LIKE WE DID WITH IT.

SO MAYBE THE THIRD GRADERS WITH THE SECOND GRADERS NEXT YEAR. FOR THOSE THAT MISS WE JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT THE TIME CONSTRAINTS DOES. BECAUSE WE COULD BE OPEN TO THE SUMMER AND THEN HAVE TO CLOSE AGAIN WHEN SCHOOL STARTS TO FIX FOR IT.

BOTH THE FORMS FOR OUR VIEW FOR SCHOOL HOURS ARE STILL MINOR. THIS MUST BE MONDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY FOR APRIL 12TH AND THEN ONE TO SEVEN. AND THEN FOR OUR BOCA CLASSMATES ON MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS 6 6 3 WE ALSO OFFER WATER SOMETHING NEW FOR POOL MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY 130 AND 230 130 TO THREE AND THEN THE NEXT LIBRARIAN CLASS ACTUALLY STARTS TOMORROW WHICH IS MARCH 4TH THROUGH MARCH ELEVEN. HOW'S OUR PARTICIPATION IN ALL OF THESE VARIOUS THINGS THAT YOU HAVE HERE? I KNOW THAT WE USED TO HAVE SOME CAMPS THAT WOULD SHOW US HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE USING THE POOL FOR JUST THE REGULAR LAPS.

THAT'S THE BIGGEST ONE RIGHT NOW. NOT THAT MANY ARE COMING FOR THE BULGER CLASS OR WATER AEROBICS. WE'VE CHANGED THE TIME FRAMES.

WE'VE CHANGED THE DIFFERENT DAYS BUT IT'S JUST NOT. DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH COVID TOO? I DON'T THINK SO. OKAY.

THE BULGER CLASS ITSELF IS TO ME THAT'S GEARED MORE TOWARDS YOUNGER ADULTS AND THE ONES

[01:00:02]

THAT ARE ALWAYS INTERESTED IN WHAT IS THIS CLASS ARE THE OLDER ADULTS AND WHEN THEY COME AND SEE IT THEY'RE LIKE THAT WE DID HAVE IT. IT WAS PICKING UP AND BOY STARTING OCCASIONALLY GOLF. YEAH WE ACTUALLY GOT AN INSTRUCTOR OVER THERE AND THERE ARE THESE JOINT PROGRAMS THAT WE DO WITH INSTRUCTORS ARE WE SOME OF THEM ARE 70, 30, 70, 30 PROGRAMS LIKE YEAH. THE BLUFFTON INSTRUCTORS NOT FOR OUR SWIMMING LESSONS.

SO WE WE OFFER GROUPING PRIVATES ALL LESSONS. BUT AT THIS MOMENT BECAUSE OF STAFFING WE DON'T HAVE ANY LESSONS SCHEDULED. WE'RE HOPING THAT WE WILL START THAT REALLY SOON. WE JUST NEED MORE STAFF. OUR SCHOOLS FROM TOMLINSON'S WE STILL ARE HAVING THOSE GOING ON AT BATTERY CREEK HAVE YOU FOR POOL THEY'RE CURRENTLY GOING ON RIGHT NOW. THE HOURS ARE BETWEEN NINE AND TWELVE BUT THE BLUFFTON SCHOOLS CAN COME OVER IF THEY NEED TO COME AT A DIFFERENT TIME FRAME. I'D OFFER THAT AS WELL.

BUT FOR BATTERY CREEK IT'S UNTIL MARCH 30. FIRST EVERY NOW AND THEN FOR BEAUFORT IS TILL THE THIRTY FIRST OF MARCH AND THEN ANOTHER SESSIONS FROM MAY 9.

>> HAVE YOU HAD A BIG TURNOUT FOR YOUR SWIM? I MEAN NOT YOUR SWIM LESSONS YOUR GUARDIAN CLASS FOR THE LIFEGUARDING CLASSES? NOT AS MUCH AS I THOUGHT WE WOULD BUT WE'VE NOTICED WE'VE CALLED A LOT OF OTHER PLACES A LOT OF , A LOT OF COUNTIES THEY'RE NOT. YEAH, WE'RE SEEING THEM AND PEOPLE ARE WANTING TO BE LEFT MURDERING PEOPLE JUST DON'T WANT TO PARK RIGHT NOW. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS FOR THE SCHOOL'S ALL RIGHT. SO EMPLOYEE BAY AQUATICS WE HAVE ONE ASSISTANT PRODUCT

[10. EMPLOYEE UPDATE]

MANAGER TO FILL CURRENTLY WITH MULTIPLE PHONES. WE'RE NOT SUPER DESPERATE SO THAT'S NOT A BAD THING IF IT HAPPENS ON LIFEGUARDS. BOB FOUND SIX PART TIME OR OPEN WE'RE PRETTY DESPERATE MAINTENANCE. WE HAVE FIVE POSITIONS LEFT TO FILL THAT THAT HARD HIT. IT'S BEEN PRETTY TOUGH TOO AND RANKINGS WE ONLY HAVE FOUR POSITIONS LEFT TO FILL IN THOSE NORTH BROADS ABROAD OR BOTH. WE JUST DON'T GET APPLICATIONS.

I DON'T KNOW IF WHEN DOING HERE. I'M SURE PUT HER OUT.

WHAT ABOUT INTERNSHIPS WOULD LIKE USCCB THINGS LIKE THAT IF YOU REACHED OUT AS A COUNTY REACH OUT TO THEM WITH PEOPLE MEN OUT THERE WITH DID A JOB FAIR OUT THERE.

WE'VE GOT ONE OF THAT COMING UP AT YALE WHERE BEATING THE BUSHES AND IS IT IN ANY WAY REFLECTIVE OF THE FISCAL COMPENSATION OR JUST WHAT LIFEGUARDS KNOW? THEY STARTED 16 MAINTENANCE. YES. REC AIDES.

YES. YEAH. I'M JUST WONDERING DOES DOES DOES USCCB HAVE ANY. YOU AGAIN. I WAS OUT THERE TALKING TO SOME STUDENTS IN THE BUSINESS CLASS . I'M JUST WONDERING IF THEY HAVE ANY PROGRAMS AND WHERE THEY REQUIRE PEOPLE TO INTERNSHIPS IN RECREATION AND MAYBE GET SOME FREE STUDENTS. YOU KNOW, I DON'T THINK THEY DO A RECREATION.

>> NOBODY PASS SCHOOLS AND HAVE ANY MORE CLUBS AND WELLS MORRIS COLLEGE.

THERE'S ADMITTING THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND A LOT OF THOSE GET PICKED BY SOME OF THE OTHER AREAS. CHARLESTON, GREENVILLE AREAS LIKE THAT.

IT'S EXPENSIVE TO LIVE HERE. SO YEAH, I'M JUST THINKING IF THEY'RE ALREADY HERE AND THEY CAN GET THE COLLEGE CREDIT, YOU KNOW, I DON'T THINK A LOT OF THEM ARE HOSPITALITY WHICH THEY GO MORE TOWARDS THE RESORT. I KNOW RESTAURANTS THINGS HOTELS, PRIVATE ISLANDS THAT FOLKS GOT ALL THE ALL THE ALL OF THE LIKE THE WEST AND HAS A RECREATION DEPARTMENT WITH POOLS THAT NEED TO BE LIFEGUARD BUT THINGS LIKE THAT KIND

OF MAX MEETING THURSDAY BEFORE HAND CAME OUT. >> I DO I DO HAVE ONE OTHER THING I DIDN'T BRING IT AND UNFORTUNATELY I RECEIVED IT IN THE MAIL TODAY AND I JUST KIND OF WANT TO PUT THIS OUT THERE THAT, YOU KNOW, HAS A RECREATION CENTER, A NEW RECREATION CENTER. SO I KNOW THAT WE GET ASKED ON MANY OCCASIONS WHETHER JASPER COUNTY PEOPLE CAN COME TO DO WE HAVE SPECIAL RATES OR WHATEVER IT WOULD BE.

I MEAN THEY'RE MAILING YOU KNOW, MAILING BUSINESS CARD AND BUSINESS CARDS.

BUT YOU KNOW, YOU YOU KNOW, AN ADVERTISING PIECE TO EVERYBODY IN BLUFFTON.

[01:05:06]

SO YOU KNOW, I WOULD THINK THAT I DON'T KNOW EVEN HOW THAT WAS FUNDED.

IT APPEARS LIKE IT WAS A TOWN PROJECT. DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS ? YEAH, I THINK IT WAS THE TOWN BUT I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT.

OK, IT JUST LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE A GYM. IT LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE A BIG FITNESS CENTER. I JUST THINK, YOU KNOW, FOR US TO GET ADDITIONAL REQUESTS AND WHAT WE'RE WILLING TO DO FOUR OUT OF COUNTY PEOPLE MAYBE WE SHOULD REACH OUT TO THEM AND SEE WHAT THEIR WHAT THEIR MEMBERSHIP RATES ARE AND WHATEVER ELSE AND MAKE SURE THAT THAT WE'RE GOOD NEIGHBORS. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, ALSO UNDERSTAND WHEN PEOPLE COME TO US REQUESTS IF THEY HAVE ONE IN THEIR OWN TOWN THAT MAYBE THEY SHOULD GO TO THAT ONE.

SO I JUST THINK THAT'S IMPORTANT. RIGHT.

ANYTHING ELSE? SO I WILL ACCEPT A MOTION TO ADJOURN.

>> LET'S GET I'M NOT HERE. WELL, THANK YOU. I KNOW.
